Today's Date: Job 29:25 I chose the way for them, and sat as chief; So I dwelt as a king in the army, As one who comforts mourners.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:1 ============ Job 30:1 "But now those younger than I mock me, Whose fathers I disdained to put with the dogs of my flock.(nas) Job 30:1 νυνὶ δὲ κατεγέλασάν μου ἐλάχιστοι νῦν νουθετοῦσίν με ἐν μέρει ὧν ἐξουδένουν πατέρας αὐτῶν οὓς οὐχ ἡγησάμην εἶναι ἀξίους κυνῶν τῶν ἐμῶν νομάδων (lxx) Job 30:1 [Nunc autem derident me juniores tempore, quorum non dignabar patres ponere cum canibus gregis mei:(vulgate) 1 ׃30 וְעַתָּ֤ה ׀ שָֽׂחֲק֣וּ עָלַי֮ צְעִירִ֥ים מִמֶּ֗נִּי לְיָ֫מִ֥ים אֲשֶׁר־מָאַ֥סְתִּי אֲבוֹתָ֑ם לָ֝שִׁ֗ית עִם־כַּלְבֵ֥י צֹאנִֽי׃ Job Job 30:1 Nun aber lachen sie mein, die jünger sind denn ich, deren Väter ich verachtet hätte, sie zu stellen unter meine Schafhunde;(dhs) Job 30:1 "But now they mock at me, men younger than I, Whose fathers I disdained to put with the dogs of my flock.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:2 ============ Job 30:2 "Indeed, what good was the strength of their hands to me? Vigor had perished from them.(nas) Job 30:2 καί γε ἰσχὺς χειρῶν αὐτῶν ἵνα τί μοι ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἀπώλετο συντέλεια (lxx) Job 30:2 quorum virtus manuum mihi erat pro nihilo, et vita ipsa putabantur indigni:(vulgate) 2 ׃30 גַּם־כֹּ֣חַ יְ֭דֵיהֶם לָ֣מָּה לִּ֑י עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ אָ֣בַד כָּֽלַח׃ Job Job 30:2 deren Vermögen ich für nichts hielt; die nicht zum Alter kommen konnten;(dhs) Job 30:2 Indeed, what profit is the strength of their hands to me? Their vigor has perished.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:3 ============ Job 30:3 "From want and famine they are gaunt Who gnaw the dry ground by night in waste and desolation,(nas) Job 30:3 ἐν ἐνδείᾳ καὶ λιμῷ ἄγονος οἱ φεύγοντες ἄνυδρον ἐχθὲς συνοχὴν καὶ ταλαιπωρίαν (lxx) Job 30:3 egestate et fame steriles, qui rodebant in solitudine, squallentes calamitate et miseria.(vulgate) 3 ׃30 בְּחֶ֥סֶר וּבְכָפָ֗ן גַּ֫לְמ֥וּד הַֽעֹרְקִ֥ים צִיָּ֑ה אֶ֝֗מֶשׁ שׁוֹאָ֥ה וּמְשֹׁאָֽה׃ Job Job 30:3 die vor Hunger und Kummer einsam flohen in die Einöde, neulich verdarben und elend wurden;(dhs) Job 30:3 They are gaunt from want and famine, Fleeing late to the wilderness, desolate and waste,(nkjv) ======= Job 30:4 ============ Job 30:4 Who pluck mallow by the bushes, And whose food is the root of the broom shrub.(nas) Job 30:4 οἱ περικλῶντες ἅλιμα ἐπὶ ἠχοῦντι οἵτινες ἅλιμα ἦν αὐτῶν τὰ σῖτα ἄτιμοι δὲ καὶ πεφαυλισμένοι ἐνδεεῖς παντὸς ἀγαθοῦ οἳ καὶ ῥίζας ξύλων ἐμασῶντο ὑπὸ λιμοῦ μεγάλου (lxx) Job 30:4 Et mandebant herbas, et arborum cortices, et radix juniperorum erat cibus eorum:(vulgate) 4 ׃30 הַקֹּטְפִ֣ים מַלּ֣וּחַ עֲלֵי־שִׂ֑יחַ וְשֹׁ֖רֶשׁ רְתָמִ֣ים לַחְמָֽם׃ Job Job 30:4 die da Nesseln ausraufen um die Büsche, und Ginsterwurzel ist ihre Speise;(dhs) Job 30:4 Who pluck mallow by the bushes, And broom tree roots for their food.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:5 ============ Job 30:5 "They are driven from the community; They shout against them as against a thief,(nas) Job 30:5 ἐπανέστησάν μοι κλέπται (lxx) Job 30:5 qui de convallibus ista rapientes, cum singula reperissent, ad ea cum clamore currebant.(vulgate) 5 ׃30 מִן־גֵּ֥ו יְגֹרָ֑שׁוּ יָרִ֥יעוּ עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ כַּגַּנָּֽב׃ Job Job 30:5 aus der Menschen Mitte werden sie weggetrieben, man schreit über sie wie über einen Dieb;(dhs) Job 30:5 They were driven out from among men, They shouted at them as at a thief.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:6 ============ Job 30:6 So that they dwell in dreadful valleys, In holes of the earth and of the rocks.(nas) Job 30:6 ὧν οἱ οἶκοι αὐτῶν ἦσαν τρῶγλαι πετρῶν (lxx) Job 30:6 In desertis habitabant torrentium, et in cavernis terræ, vel super glaream:(vulgate) 6 ׃30 בַּעֲר֣וּץ נְחָלִ֣ים לִשְׁכֹּ֑ן חֹרֵ֖י עָפָ֣ר וְכֵפִֽים׃ Job Job 30:6 in grausigen Tälern wohnen sie, in den Löchern der Erde und Steinritzen;(dhs) Job 30:6 They had to live in the clefts of the valleys, In caves of the earth and the rocks.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:7 ============ Job 30:7 "Among the bushes they cry out; Under the nettles they are gathered together.(nas) Job 30:7 ἀνὰ μέσον εὐήχων βοήσονται οἳ ὑπὸ φρύγανα ἄγρια διῃτῶντο (lxx) Job 30:7 qui inter hujuscemodi lætabantur, et esse sub sentibus delicias computabant:(vulgate) 7 ׃30 בֵּין־שִׂיחִ֥ים יִנְהָ֑קוּ תַּ֖חַת חָר֣וּל יְסֻפָּֽחוּ׃ Job Job 30:7 zwischen den Büschen rufen sie, und unter den Disteln sammeln sie sich:(dhs) Job 30:7 Among the bushes they brayed, Under the nettles they nestled.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:8 ============ Job 30:8 "Fools, even those without a name, They were scourged from the land.(nas) Job 30:8 ἀφρόνων υἱοὶ καὶ ἀτίμων ὄνομα καὶ κλέος ἐσβεσμένον ἀπὸ γῆς (lxx) Job 30:8 filii stultorum et ignobilium, et in terra penitus non parentes.(vulgate) 8 ׃30 בְּֽנֵי־נָ֭בָל גַּם־בְּנֵ֣י בְלִי־שֵׁ֑ם נִ֝כְּא֗וּ מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Job Job 30:8 die Kinder gottloser und verachteter Leute, die man aus dem Lande weggetrieben.(dhs) Job 30:8 They were sons of fools, Yes, sons of vile men; They were scourged from the land.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:9 ============ Job 30:9 "And now I have become their taunt, I have even become a byword to them.(nas) Job 30:9 νυνὶ δὲ κιθάρα ἐγώ εἰμι αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμὲ θρύλημα ἔχουσιν (lxx) Job 30:9 Nunc in eorum canticum versus sum, et factus sum eis in proverbium.(vulgate) 9 ׃30 וְ֭עַתָּה נְגִינָתָ֣ם הָיִ֑יתִי וָאֱהִ֖י לָהֶ֣ם לְמִלָּֽה׃ Job Job 30:9 Nun bin ich ihr Spottlied geworden und muß ihr Märlein sein.(dhs) Job 30:9 "And now I am their taunting song; Yes, I am their byword.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:10 ============ Job 30:10 "They abhor me and stand aloof from me, And they do not refrain from spitting at my face.(nas) Job 30:10 ἐβδελύξαντο δέ με ἀποστάντες μακράν ἀπὸ δὲ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἐφείσαντο πτύελον (lxx) Job 30:10 Abominantur me, et longe fugiunt a me, et faciem meam conspuere non verentur.(vulgate) 10 ׃30 תִּֽ֭עֲבוּנִי רָ֣חֲקוּ מֶ֑נִּי וּ֝מִפָּנַ֗י לֹא־חָ֥שְׂכוּ רֹֽק׃ Job Job 30:10 Sie haben einen Greuel an mir und machen sich ferne von mir und scheuen sich nicht, vor meinem Angesicht zu speien.(dhs) Job 30:10 They abhor me, they keep far from me; They do not hesitate to spit in my face.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:11 ============ Job 30:11 "Because He has loosed His bowstring and afflicted me, They have cast off the bridle before me.(nas) Job 30:11 ἀνοίξας γὰρ φαρέτραν αὐτοῦ ἐκάκωσέν με καὶ χαλινὸν τοῦ προσώπου μου ἐξαπέστειλαν (lxx) Job 30:11 Pharetram enim suam aperuit, et afflixit me, et frenum posuit in os meum.(vulgate) 11 ׃30 כִּֽי־*יתרו **יִתְרִ֣י פִ֭תַּח וַיְעַנֵּ֑נִי וְ֝רֶ֗סֶן מִפָּנַ֥י שִׁלֵּֽחוּ׃ Job Job 30:11 Sie haben ihr Seil gelöst und mich zunichte gemacht und ihren Zaum vor mir abgetan.(dhs) Job 30:11 Because He has loosed my bowstring and afflicted me, They have cast off restraint before me.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:12 ============ Job 30:12 "On the right hand their brood arises; They thrust aside my feet and build up against me their ways of destruction.(nas) Job 30:12 ἐπὶ δεξιῶν βλαστοῦ ἐπανέστησαν πόδα αὐτῶν ἐξέτειναν καὶ ὡδοποίησαν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τρίβους ἀπωλείας αὐτῶν (lxx) Job 30:12 Ad dexteram orientis calamitates meæ illico surrexerunt: pedes meos subverterunt, et oppresserunt quasi fluctibus semitis suis.(vulgate) 12 ׃30 עַל־יָמִין֮ פִּרְחַ֢ח יָ֫ק֥וּמוּ רַגְלַ֥י שִׁלֵּ֑חוּ וַיָּסֹ֥לּוּ עָ֝לַ֗י אָרְח֥וֹת אֵידָֽם׃ Job Job 30:12 Zur Rechten haben sich Buben wider mich gesetzt und haben meinen Fuß ausgestoßen und haben wider mich einen Weg gemacht, mich zu verderben.(dhs) Job 30:12 At my right hand the rabble arises; They push away my feet, And they raise against me their ways of destruction.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:13 ============ Job 30:13 "They break up my path, They profit from my destruction; No one restrains them.(nas) Job 30:13 ἐξετρίβησαν τρίβοι μου ἐξέδυσεν γάρ μου τὴν στολήν (lxx) Job 30:13 Dissipaverunt itinera mea; insidiati sunt mihi, et prævaluerunt: et non fuit qui ferret auxilium.(vulgate) 13 ׃30 נָתְס֗וּ נְֽתִיבָ֫תִ֥י לְהַוָּתִ֥י יֹעִ֑ילוּ לֹ֖א עֹזֵ֣ר לָֽמוֹ׃ Job Job 30:13 Sie haben meine Steige zerbrochen; es war ihnen so leicht, mich zu beschädigen, daß sie keiner Hilfe dazu bedurften.(dhs) Job 30:13 They break up my path, They promote my calamity; They have no helper.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:14 ============ Job 30:14 "As through a wide breach they come, Amid the tempest they roll on.(nas) Job 30:14 βέλεσιν αὐτοῦ κατηκόντισέν με κέχρηταί μοι ὡς βούλεται ἐν ὀδύναις πέφυρμαι (lxx) Job 30:14 Quasi rupto muro, et aperta janua, irruerunt super me, et ad meas miserias devoluti sunt.(vulgate) 14 ׃30 כְּפֶ֣רֶץ רָחָ֣ב יֶאֱתָ֑יוּ תַּ֥חַת שֹׁ֝אָ֗ה הִתְגַּלְגָּֽלוּ׃ Job Job 30:14 Sie sind gekommen wie zu einer weiten Lücke der Mauer herein und sind ohne Ordnung dahergefallen.(dhs) Job 30:14 They come as broad breakers; Under the ruinous storm they roll along.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:15 ============ Job 30:15 "Terrors are turned against me; They pursue my honor as the wind, And my prosperity has passed away like a cloud.(nas) Job 30:15 ἐπιστρέφονται δέ μου αἱ ὀδύναι ᾤχετό μου ἡ ἐλπὶς ὥσπερ πνεῦμα καὶ ὥσπερ νέφος ἡ σωτηρία μου (lxx) Job 30:15 Redactus sum in nihilum: abstulisti quasi ventus desiderium meum, et velut nubes pertransiit salus mea.(vulgate) 15 ׃30 הָהְפַּ֥ךְ עָלַ֗י בַּלָּ֫ה֥וֹת תִּרְדֹּ֣ף כָּ֭רוּחַ נְדִבָתִ֑י וּ֝כְעָ֗ב עָבְרָ֥ה יְשֻׁעָתִֽי׃ Job Job 30:15 Schrecken hat sich gegen mich gekehrt und hat verfolgt wie der Wind meine Herrlichkeit; und wie eine Wolke zog vorüber mein glückseliger Stand.(dhs) Job 30:15 Terrors are turned upon me; They pursue my honor as the wind, And my prosperity has passed like a cloud.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:16 ============ Job 30:16 "And now my soul is poured out within me; Days of affliction have seized me.(nas) Job 30:16 καὶ νῦν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐκχυθήσεται ἡ ψυχή μου ἔχουσιν δέ με ἡμέραι ὀδυνῶν (lxx) Job 30:16 Nunc autem in memetipso marcescit anima mea, et possident me dies afflictionis.(vulgate) 16 ׃30 וְעַתָּ֗ה עָ֭לַי תִּשְׁתַּפֵּ֣ךְ נַפְשִׁ֑י יֹ֭אחֲז֣וּנִי יְמֵי־עֹֽנִי׃ Job Job 30:16 Nun aber gießt sich aus meine Seele über mich, und mich hat ergriffen die elende Zeit.(dhs) Job 30:16 "And now my soul is poured out because of my plight; The days of affliction take hold of me.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:17 ============ Job 30:17 "At night it pierces my bones within me, And my gnawing pains take no rest.(nas) Job 30:17 νυκτὶ δέ μου τὰ ὀστᾶ συγκέκαυται τὰ δὲ νεῦρά μου διαλέλυται (lxx) Job 30:17 Nocte os meum perforatur doloribus, et qui me comedunt, non dormiunt.(vulgate) 17 ׃30 לַ֗יְלָה עֲ֭צָמַי נִקַּ֣ר מֵעָלָ֑י וְ֝עֹרְקַ֗י לֹ֣א יִשְׁכָּבֽוּן׃ Job Job 30:17 Des Nachts wird mein Gebein durchbohrt allenthalben; und die mich nagen, legen sich nicht schlafen.(dhs) Job 30:17 My bones are pierced in me at night, And my gnawing pains take no rest.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:18 ============ Job 30:18 "By a great force my garment is distorted; It binds me about as the collar of my coat.(nas) Job 30:18 ἐν πολλῇ ἰσχύι ἐπελάβετό μου τῆς στολῆς ὥσπερ τὸ περιστόμιον τοῦ χιτῶνός μου περιέσχεν με (lxx) Job 30:18 In multitudine eorum consumitur vestimentum meum, et quasi capito tunicæ succinxerunt me.(vulgate) 18 ׃30 בְּרָב־כֹּ֭חַ יִתְחַפֵּ֣שׂ לְבוּשִׁ֑י כְּפִ֖י כֻתָּנְתִּ֣י יַֽאַזְרֵֽנִי׃ Job Job 30:18 Mit großer Gewalt werde ich anders und anders gekleidet, und ich werde damit umgürtet wie mit einem Rock.(dhs) Job 30:18 By great force my garment is disfigured; I stand up, and You turn Your attention against me.(nas) Job 30:20 κέκραγα δὲ πρὸς σὲ καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούεις μου ἔστησαν καὶ κατενόησάν με (lxx) Job 30:20 Clamo ad te, et non exaudis me: sto, et non respicis me.(vulgate) 20 ׃30 אֲשַׁוַּ֣ע אֵ֭לֶיךָ וְלֹ֣א תַעֲנֵ֑נִי עָ֝מַ֗דְתִּי וַתִּתְבֹּ֥נֶן בִּֽי׃ Job Job 30:20 Schreie ich zu dir, so antwortest du mir nicht; trete ich hervor, so achtest du nicht auf mich.(dhs) Job 30:20 "I cry out to You, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You regard me.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:21 ============ Job 30:21 "You have become cruel to me; With the might of Your hand You persecute me.(nas) Job 30:21 ἐπέβης δέ μοι ἀνελεημόνως χειρὶ κραταιᾷ με ἐμαστίγωσας (lxx) Job 30:21 Mutatus es mihi in crudelem, et in duritia manus tuæ adversaris mihi.(vulgate) 21 ׃30 תֵּהָפֵ֣ךְ לְאַכְזָ֣ר לִ֑י בְּעֹ֖צֶם יָדְךָ֣ תִשְׂטְמֵֽנִי׃ Job Job 30:21 Du hast mich verwandelt in einen Grausamen und zeigst an mit der Stärke deiner Hand, daß du mir gram bist.(dhs) Job 30:21 But You have become cruel to me; With the strength of Your hand You oppose me.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:22 ============ Job 30:22 "You lift me up to the wind and cause me to ride; And You dissolve me in a storm.(nas) Job 30:22 ἔταξας δέ με ἐν ὀδύναις καὶ ἀπέρριψάς με ἀπὸ σωτηρίας (lxx) Job 30:22 Elevasti me, et quasi super ventum ponens; elisisti me valide.(vulgate) 22 ׃30 תִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִי אֶל־ר֖[d]וּחַ תַּרְכִּיבֵ֑נִי וּ֝תְמֹגְגֵ֗נִי *תשוה **תּוּשִׁיָּֽה׃ Job Job 30:22 Du hebst mich auf und lässest mich auf dem Winde fahren und zerschmelzest mich kräftig.(dhs) Job 30:22 You lift me up to the wind and cause me to ride on it; You spoil my success.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:23 ============ Job 30:23 "For I know that You will bring me to death And to the house of meeting for all living.(nas) Job 30:23 οἶδα γὰρ ὅτι θάνατός με ἐκτρίψει οἰκία γὰρ παντὶ θνητῷ γῆ (lxx) Job 30:23 Scio quia morti trades me, ubi constituta est domus omni viventi.(vulgate) 23 ׃30 כִּֽי־יָ֭דַעְתִּי מָ֣וֶת תְּשִׁיבֵ֑נִי וּבֵ֖ית מוֹעֵ֣ד לְכָל־חָֽי׃ Job Job 30:23 Denn ich weiß du wirst mich dem Tod überantworten; da ist das bestimmte Haus aller Lebendigen.(dhs) Job 30:23 For I know that You will bring me to death, And to the house appointed for all living.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:24 ============ Job 30:24 "Yet does not one in a heap of ruins stretch out his hand, Or in his disaster therefore cry out for help?(nas) Job 30:24 εἰ γὰρ ὄφελον δυναίμην ἐμαυτὸν χειρώσασθαι ἢ δεηθείς γε ἑτέρου καὶ ποιήσει μοι τοῦτο (lxx) Job 30:24 Verumtamen non ad consumptionem eorum emittis manum tuam: et si corruerint, ipse salvabis.(vulgate) 24 ׃30 אַ֣ךְ לֹא־בְ֭עִי יִשְׁלַח־יָ֑ד אִם־בְּ֝פִיד֗וֹ לָהֶ֥ן שֽׁוּעַ׃ Job Job 30:24 Aber wird einer nicht die Hand ausstrecken unter Trümmern und nicht schreien vor seinem Verderben?(dhs) Job 30:24 "Surely He would not stretch out His hand against a heap of ruins, If they cry out when He destroys it.(nkjv) ======= Job 30:25 ============ Job 30:25 "Have I not wept for the one whose life is hard? Was not my soul grieved for the needy?(nas) Job 30:25 ἐγὼ δὲ ἐπὶ παντὶ ἀδυνάτῳ ἔκλαυσα ἐστέναξα δὲ ἰδὼν ἄνδρα ἐν ἀνάγκαις (lxx) Job 30:25 Flebam quondam super eo qui afflictus erat, et compatiebatur anima mea pauperi.(vulgate) 25 ׃30 אִם־לֹ֣א בָ֭כִיתִי לִקְשֵׁה־י֑וֹם עָֽגְמָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י לָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃ Job Job 30:25 Ich weinte ja über den, der harte Zeit hatte; und meine Seele jammerte der Armen.(dhs) Job 30:25 Have I not wept for him who was in trouble?
