"(nkjv) ======= Job 29:1 ============ Job 29:1 And Job again took up his discourse and said,(nas) Job 29:1 ἔτι δὲ προσθεὶς Ιωβ εἶπεν τῷ προοιμίῳ (lxx) Job 29:1 Addidit quoque Job, assumens parabolam suam, et dixit:(vulgate) 1 ׃29 וַיֹּ֣סֶף אִ֭יּוֹב שְׂאֵ֥ת מְשָׁל֗וֹ וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ Job Job 29:1 Und Hiob hob abermals an seine Sprüche und sprach:(dhs) Job 29:1 Job further continued his discourse, and said:(nkjv) ======= Job 29:2 ============ Job 29:2 "Oh that I were as in months gone by, As in the days when God watched over me;(nas) Job 29:2 τίς ἄν με θείη κατὰ μῆνα ἔμπροσθεν ἡμερῶν ὧν με ὁ θεὸς ἐφύλαξεν (lxx) Job 29:2 [Quis mihi tribuat ut sim juxta menses pristinos, secundum dies quibus Deus custodiebat me?(vulgate) 2 ׃29 מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֥נִי כְיַרְחֵי־קֶ֑דֶם כִּ֝ימֵ֗י אֱל֣וֹהַּ יִשְׁמְרֵֽנִי׃ Job Job 29:2 O daß ich wäre wie in den vorigen Monden, in den Tagen, da mich Gott behütete;(dhs) Job 29:2 Oh, that I were as in months past, As in the days when God watched over me;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:3 ============ Job 29:3 When His lamp shone over my head, And by His light I walked through darkness;(nas) Job 29:3 ὡς ὅτε ηὔγει ὁ λύχνος αὐτοῦ ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς μου ὅτε τῷ φωτὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπορευόμην ἐν σκότει (lxx) Job 29:3 Quando splendebat lucerna ejus super caput meum, et ad lumen ejus ambulabam in tenebris:(vulgate) 3 ׃29 בְּהִלּ֣וֹ נֵ֭רוֹ עֲלֵ֣י רֹאשִׁ֑י לְ֝אוֹרוֹ אֵ֣לֶךְ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ Job Job 29:3 da seine Leuchte über meinem Haupt schien und ich bei seinem Licht in der Finsternis ging;(dhs) Job 29:3 When His lamp shone upon my head, And when by His light I walked through darkness;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:4 ============ Job 29:4 As I was in the prime of my days, When the friendship of God was over my tent;(nas) Job 29:4 ὅτε ἤμην ἐπιβρίθων ὁδοῖς ὅτε ὁ θεὸς ἐπισκοπὴν ἐποιεῖτο τοῦ οἴκου μου (lxx) Job 29:4 sicut fui in diebus adolescentiæ meæ, quando secreto Deus erat in tabernaculo meo:(vulgate) 4 ׃29 כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר הָ֭יִיתִי בִּימֵ֣י חָרְפִּ֑י בְּס֥וֹד אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ עֲלֵ֣י אָהֳלִֽי׃ Job Job 29:4 wie war ich in der Reife meines Lebens, da Gottes Geheimnis über meiner Hütte war;(dhs) Job 29:4 Just as I was in the days of my prime, When the friendly counsel of God was over my tent;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:5 ============ Job 29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, And my children were around me;(nas) Job 29:5 ὅτε ἤμην ὑλώδης λίαν κύκλῳ δέ μου οἱ παῖδες (lxx) Job 29:5 quando erat Omnipotens mecum, et in circuitu meo pueri mei:(vulgate) 5 ׃29 בְּע֣וֹד שַׁ֭דַּי עִמָּדִ֑י סְבִ֖יבוֹתַ֣י נְעָרָֽי׃ Job Job 29:5 da der Allmächtige noch mit mir war und meine Kinder um mich her;(dhs) Job 29:5 When the Almighty was yet with me, When my children were around me;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:6 ============ Job 29:6 When my steps were bathed in butter, And the rock poured out for me streams of oil!(nas) Job 29:6 ὅτε ἐχέοντό μου αἱ ὁδοὶ βουτύρῳ τὰ δὲ ὄρη μου ἐχέοντο γάλακτι (lxx) Job 29:6 quando lavabam pedes meos butyro, et petra fundebat mihi rivos olei:(vulgate) 6 ׃29 בִּרְחֹ֣ץ הֲלִיכַ֣י בְּחֵמָ֑ה וְצ֥וּר יָצ֥וּק עִ֝מָּדִ֗י פַּלְגֵי־שָֽׁמֶן׃ Job Job 29:6 da ich meine Tritte wusch in Butter und die Felsen mir Ölbäche gossen;(dhs) Job 29:6 When my steps were bathed with cream, And the rock poured out rivers of oil for me!(nkjv) ======= Job 29:7 ============ Job 29:7 "When I went out to the gate of the city, When I took my seat in the square,(nas) Job 29:7 ὅτε ἐξεπορευόμην ὄρθριος ἐν πόλει ἐν δὲ πλατείαις ἐτίθετό μου ὁ δίφρος (lxx) Job 29:7 quando procedebam ad portam civitatis, et in platea parabant cathedram mihi.(vulgate) 7 ׃29 בְּצֵ֣אתִי שַׁ֣עַר עֲלֵי־קָ֑רֶת בָּ֝רְח֗וֹב אָכִ֥ין מוֹשָׁבִֽי׃ Job Job 29:7 da ich ausging zum Tor in der Stadt und mir ließ meinen Stuhl auf der Gasse bereiten;(dhs) Job 29:7 "When I went out to the gate by the city, When I took my seat in the open square,(nkjv) ======= Job 29:8 ============ Job 29:8 The young men saw me and hid themselves, And the old men arose and stood.(nas) Job 29:8 ἰδόντες με νεανίσκοι ἐκρύβησαν πρεσβῦται δὲ πάντες ἔστησαν (lxx) Job 29:8 Videbant me juvenes, et abscondebantur: et senes assurgentes stabant.(vulgate) 8 ׃29 רָא֣וּנִי נְעָרִ֣ים וְנֶחְבָּ֑אוּ וִֽ֝ישִׁישִׁים קָ֣מוּ עָמָֽדוּ׃ Job Job 29:8 da mich die Jungen sahen und sich versteckten, und die Alten vor mir aufstanden;(dhs) Job 29:8 The young men saw me and hid, And the aged arose and stood;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:9 ============ Job 29:9 "The princes stopped talking And put their hands on their mouths;(nas) Job 29:9 ἁδροὶ δὲ ἐπαύσαντο λαλοῦντες δάκτυλον ἐπιθέντες ἐπὶ στόματι (lxx) Job 29:9 Principes cessabant loqui, et digitum superponebant ori suo.(vulgate) 9 ׃29 שָׂ֭רִים עָצְר֣וּ בְמִלִּ֑ים וְ֝כַ֗ף יָשִׂ֥ימוּ לְפִיהֶֽם׃ Job Job 29:9 da die Obersten aufhörten zu reden und legten ihre Hand auf ihren Mund;(dhs) Job 29:9 The princes refrained from talking, And put their hand on their mouth;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:10 ============ Job 29:10 The voice of the nobles was hushed, And their tongue stuck to their palate.(nas) Job 29:10 οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐμακάρισάν με καὶ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν τῷ λάρυγγι αὐτῶν ἐκολλήθη (lxx) Job 29:10 Vocem suam cohibebant duces, et lingua eorum gutturi suo adhærebat.(vulgate) 10 ׃29 קוֹל־נְגִידִ֥ים נֶחְבָּ֑אוּ וּ֝לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם לְחִכָּ֥ם דָּבֵֽקָה׃ Job Job 29:10 da die Stimme der Fürsten sich verkroch und ihre Zunge am Gaumen klebte!(dhs) Job 29:10 The voice of nobles was hushed, And their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:11 ============ Job 29:11 "For when the ear heard, it called me blessed, And when the eye saw, it gave witness of me,(nas) Job 29:11 ὅτι οὖς ἤκουσεν καὶ ἐμακάρισέν με ὀφθαλμὸς δὲ ἰδών με ἐξέκλινεν (lxx) Job 29:11 Auris audiens beatificabat me, et oculus videns testimonium reddebat mihi:(vulgate) 11 ׃29 כִּ֤י אֹ֣זֶן שָׁ֭מְעָה וַֽתְּאַשְּׁרֵ֑נִי וְעַ֥ין רָ֝אֲתָ֗ה וַתְּעִידֵֽנִי׃ Job Job 29:11 Denn wessen Ohr mich hörte, der pries mich selig; und wessen Auge mich sah, der rühmte mich.(dhs) Job 29:11 When the ear heard, then it blessed me, And when the eye saw, then it approved me;(nkjv) ======= Job 29:12 ============ Job 29:12 Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, And the orphan who had no helper.(nas) Job 29:12 διέσωσα γὰρ πτωχὸν ἐκ χειρὸς δυνάστου καὶ ὀρφανῷ ᾧ οὐκ ἦν βοηθός ἐβοήθησα (lxx) Job 29:12 eo quod liberassem pauperem vociferantem, et pupillum cui non esset adjutor.(vulgate) 12 ׃29 כִּֽי־אֲ֭מַלֵּט עָנִ֣י מְשַׁוֵּ֑עַ וְ֝יָת֗וֹם וְֽלֹא־עֹזֵ֥ר לֽוֹ׃ Job Job 29:12 Denn ich errettete den Armen, der da schrie, und den Waisen, der keinen Helfer hatte.(dhs) Job 29:12 Because I delivered the poor who cried out, The fatherless and the one who had no helper.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:13 ============ Job 29:13 "The blessing of the one ready to perish came upon me, And I made the widow's heart sing for joy.(nas) Job 29:13 εὐλογία ἀπολλυμένου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἔλθοι στόμα δὲ χήρας με εὐλόγησεν (lxx) Job 29:13 Benedictio perituri super me veniebat, et cor viduæ consolatus sum.(vulgate) 13 ׃29 בִּרְכַּ֣ת אֹ֭בֵד עָלַ֣י תָּבֹ֑א וְלֵ֖ב אַלְמָנָ֣ה אַרְנִֽן׃ Job Job 29:13 Der Segen des, der verderben sollte, kam über mich; und ich erfreute das Herz der Witwe.(dhs) Job 29:13 The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, And I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:14 ============ Job 29:14 "I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.(nas) Job 29:14 δικαιοσύνην δὲ ἐνεδεδύκειν ἠμφιασάμην δὲ κρίμα ἴσα διπλοΐδι (lxx) Job 29:14 Justitia indutus sum, et vestivi me, sicut vestimento et diademate, judicio meo.(vulgate) 14 ׃29 צֶ֣דֶק לָ֭בַשְׁתִּי וַיִּלְבָּשֵׁ֑נִי כִּֽמְעִ֥יל וְ֝צָנִ֗יף מִשְׁפָּטִֽי׃ Job Job 29:14 Gerechtigkeit war mein Kleid, das ich anzog wie einen Rock; und mein Recht war mein fürstlicher Hut.(dhs) Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:15 ============ Job 29:15 "I was eyes to the blind And feet to the lame.(nas) Job 29:15 ὀφθαλμὸς ἤμην τυφλῶν ποὺς δὲ χωλῶν (lxx) Job 29:15 Oculus fui cæco, et pes claudo.(vulgate) 15 ׃29 עֵינַ֣יִם הָ֭יִיתִי לַֽעִוֵּ֑ר וְרַגְלַ֖יִם לַפִּסֵּ֣חַ אָֽנִי׃ Job Job 29:15 Ich war des Blinden Auge und des Lahmen Fuß.(dhs) Job 29:15 I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:16 ============ Job 29:16 "I was a father to the needy, And I investigated the case which I did not know.(nas) Job 29:16 ἐγὼ ἤμην πατὴρ ἀδυνάτων δίκην δέ ἣν οὐκ ᾔδειν ἐξιχνίασα (lxx) Job 29:16 Pater eram pauperum, et causam quam nesciebam diligentissime investigabam.(vulgate) 16 ׃29 אָ֣ב אָ֭נֹכִֽי לָֽאֶבְיוֹנִ֑ים וְרִ֖ב לֹא־יָדַ֣עְתִּי אֶחְקְרֵֽהוּ׃ Job Job 29:16 Ich war ein Vater der Armen; und die Sache des, den ich nicht kannte, die erforschte ich.(dhs) Job 29:16 I was a father to the poor, And I searched out the case that I did not know.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:17 ============ Job 29:17 "I broke the jaws of the wicked And snatched the prey from his teeth.(nas) Job 29:17 συνέτριψα δὲ μύλας ἀδίκων ἐκ δὲ μέσου τῶν ὀδόντων αὐτῶν ἅρπαγμα ἐξέσπασα (lxx) Job 29:17 Conterebam molas iniqui, et de dentibus illius auferebam prædam.(vulgate) 17 ׃29 וָֽ֭אֲשַׁבְּרָה מְתַלְּע֣וֹת עַוָּ֑ל וּ֝מִשִּׁנָּ֗יו אַשְׁלִ֥יךְ טָֽרֶף׃ Job Job 29:17 Ich zerbrach die Backenzähne des Ungerechten und riß den Raub aus seinen Zähnen.(dhs) Job 29:17 I broke the fangs of the wicked, And plucked the victim from his teeth.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:18 ============ Job 29:18 "Then I thought, 'I shall die in my nest, And I shall multiply my days as the sand.(nas) Job 29:18 εἶπα δέ ἡ ἡλικία μου γηράσει ὥσπερ στέλεχος φοίνικος πολὺν χρόνον βιώσω (lxx) Job 29:18 Dicebamque: In nidulo meo moriar, et sicut palma multiplicabo dies.(vulgate) 18 ׃29 וָ֭אֹמַר עִם־קִנִּ֣י אֶגְוָ֑ע וְ֝כַח֗וֹל אַרְבֶּ֥ה יָמִֽים׃ Job Job 29:18 Ich gedachte: "Ich will in meinem Nest ersterben und meiner Tage viel machen wie Sand."(dhs) Job 29:18 "Then I said, 'I shall die in my nest, And multiply my days as the sand.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:19 ============ Job 29:19 'My root is spread out to the waters, And dew lies all night on my branch.(nas) Job 29:19 ἡ ῥίζα μου διήνοικται ἐπὶ ὕδατος καὶ δρόσος αὐλισθήσεται ἐν τῷ θερισμῷ μου (lxx) Job 29:19 Radix mea aperta est secus aquas, et ros morabitur in messione mea.(vulgate) 19 ׃29 שָׁרְשִׁ֣י פָת֣וּחַ אֱלֵי־מָ֑יִם וְ֝טַ֗ל יָלִ֥ין בִּקְצִירֽ͏ִי׃ Job Job 29:19 Meine Wurzel war aufgetan dem Wasser, und der Tau blieb über meinen Zweigen.(dhs) Job 29:19 My root is spread out to the waters, And the dew lies all night on my branch.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:20 ============ Job 29:20 'My glory is ever new with me, And my לִֽי־שָׁמְע֥וּ וְיִחֵ֑לּוּ וְ֝יִדְּמ֗וּ לְמ֣וֹ עֲצָתִֽי׃ Job Job 29:21 Sie hörten mir zu und schwiegen und warteten auf meinen Rat.(dhs) Job 29:21 "Men listened to me and waited, And kept silence for my counsel.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:22 ============ Job 29:22 "After my words they did not speak again, And my speech dropped on them.(nas) Job 29:22 ἐπὶ δὲ τῷ ἐμῷ ῥήματι οὐ προσέθεντο περιχαρεῖς δὲ ἐγίνοντο ὁπόταν αὐτοῖς ἐλάλουν (lxx) Job 29:22 Verbis meis addere nihil audebant, et super illos stillabat eloquium meum.(vulgate) 22 ׃29 אַחֲרֵ֣י דְ֭בָרִי לֹ֣א יִשְׁנ֑וּ וְ֝עָלֵ֗ימוֹ תִּטֹּ֥ף מִלָּתִֽי׃ Job Job 29:22 Nach meinen Worten redete niemand mehr, und meine Rede troff auf sie.(dhs) Job 29:22 After my words they did not speak again, And my speech settled on them as dew.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:23 ============ Job 29:23 "They waited for me as for the rain, And opened their mouth as for the spring rain.(nas) Job 29:23 ὥσπερ γῆ διψῶσα προσδεχομένη τὸν ὑετόν οὕτως οὗτοι τὴν ἐμὴν λαλιάν (lxx) Job 29:23 Expectabant me sicut pluviam, et os suum aperiebant quasi ad imbrem serotinum.(vulgate) 23 ׃29 וְיִֽחֲל֣וּ כַמָּטָ֣ר לִ֑י וּ֝פִיהֶ֗ם פָּעֲר֥וּ לְמַלְקֽוֹשׁ׃ Job Job 29:23 Sie warteten auf mich wie auf den Regen und sperrten ihren Mund auf als nach dem Spätregen.(dhs) Job 29:23 They waited for me as for the rain, And they opened their mouth wide as for the spring rain.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:24 ============ Job 29:24 "I smiled on them when they did not believe, And the light of my face they did not cast down.(nas) Job 29:24 ἐὰν γελάσω πρὸς αὐτούς οὐ μὴ πιστεύσωσιν καὶ φῶς τοῦ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἀπέπιπτεν (lxx) Job 29:24 Siquando ridebam ad eos, non credebant: et lux vultus mei non cadebat in terram.(vulgate) 24 ׃29 אֶשְׂחַ֣ק אֲ֭לֵהֶם לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֑ינוּ וְא֥וֹר פָּ֝נַ֗י לֹ֣א יַפִּילֽוּן׃ Job Job 29:24 Wenn ich mit ihnen lachte, wurden sie nicht zu kühn darauf; und das Licht meines Angesichts machte mich nicht geringer.(dhs) Job 29:24 If I mocked at them, they did not believe it, And the light of my countenance they did not cast down.(nkjv) ======= Job 29:25 ============ Job 29:25 "I chose a way for them and sat as chief, And dwelt as a king among the troops, As one who comforted the mourners.(nas) Job 29:25 ἐξελεξάμην ὁδὸν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκάθισα ἄρχων καὶ κατεσκήνουν ὡσεὶ βασιλεὺς ἐν μονοζώνοις ὃν τρόπον παθεινοὺς παρακαλῶν (lxx) Job 29:25 Si voluissem ire ad eos, sedebam primus: cumque sederem quasi rex, circumstante exercitu, eram tamen mœrentium consolator.](vulgate) 25 ׃29 אֶֽבֲחַ֣ר דַּרְכָּם֮ וְאֵשֵׁ֢ב רֹ֥אשׁ וְ֭אֶשְׁכּוֹן כְּמֶ֣לֶךְ בַּגְּד֑וּד כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אֲבֵלִ֣ים יְנַחֵֽם׃ Job Job 29:25 Wenn ich zu ihrem Geschäft wollte kommen, so mußte ich obenan sitzen und wohnte wie ein König unter Kriegsknechten, da ich tröstete, die Leid
