The words of Job are ended.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:1 ============ Job 32:1 Then these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.(nas) Job 32:1 ἡσύχασαν δὲ καὶ οἱ τρεῖς φίλοι αὐτοῦ ἔτι ἀντειπεῖν Ιωβ ἦν γὰρ Ιωβ δίκαιος ἐναντίον αὐτῶν (lxx) Job 32:1 Omiserunt autem tres viri isti respondere Job, eo quod justus sibi videretur.(vulgate) 1 ׃32 וַֽיִּשְׁבְּת֡וּ שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָ֭אֵלֶּה מֵעֲנ֣וֹת אֶת־אִיּ֑וֹב כִּ֤י ה֖וּא צַדִּ֣יק בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ פ Job Job 32:1 Da hörten die drei Männer auf, Hiob zu antworten, weil er sich für gerecht hielt.(dhs) Job 32:1 So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:2 ============ Job 32:2 But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram burned; against Job his anger burned because he justified himself before God.(nas) Job 32:2 ὠργίσθη δὲ Ελιους ὁ τοῦ Βαραχιηλ ὁ Βουζίτης ἐκ τῆς συγγενείας Ραμ τῆς Αυσίτιδος χώρας ὠργίσθη δὲ τῷ Ιωβ σφόδρα διότι ἀπέφηνεν ἑαυτὸν δίκαιον ἐναντίον κυρίου (lxx) Job 32:2 Et iratus indignatusque est Eliu filius Barachel Buzites, de cognatione Ram: iratus est autem adversum Job, eo quod justum se esse diceret coram Deo.(vulgate) 2 ׃32 וַיִּ֤חַר אַ֨ף ׀ אֱלִיה֣וּא בֶן־בַּרַכְאֵ֣ל הַבּוּזִי֮ מִמִּשְׁפַּ֢חַ֫ת רָ֥ם בְּ֭אִיּוֹב חָרָ֣ה אַפּ֑וֹ עַֽל־צַדְּק֥וֹ נַ֝פְשׁ֗וֹ מֵאֱלֹהִֽים׃ Job Job 32:2 Aber Elihu, der Sohn Baracheels von Bus, des Geschlechts Rams, ward zornig über Hiob, daß er seine Seele gerechter hielt denn Gott.(dhs) Job 32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:3 ============ Job 32:3 And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.(nas) Job 32:3 καὶ κατὰ τῶν τριῶν δὲ φίλων ὠργίσθη σφόδρα διότι οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν ἀποκριθῆναι ἀντίθετα Ιωβ καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτὸν εἶναι ἀσεβῆ (lxx) Job 32:3 Porro adversum amicos ejus indignatus est, eo quod non invenissent responsionem rationabilem, sed tantummodo condemnassent Job.(vulgate) 3 ׃32 וּבִשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת רֵעָיו֮ חָרָ֢ה אַ֫פּ֥וֹ עַ֤ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־מָצְא֣וּ מַעֲנֶ֑ה וַ֝יַּרְשִׁ֗יעוּ אֶת־אִיּֽוֹב׃ Job Job 32:3 Auch ward er zornig über seine drei Freunde, daß sie keine Antwort fanden und doch Hiob verdammten.(dhs) Job 32:3 Also against his three friends his wrath was aroused, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:4 ============ Job 32:4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he.(nas) Job 32:4 Ελιους δὲ ὑπέμεινεν δοῦναι ἀπόκρισιν Ιωβ ὅτι πρεσβύτεροι αὐτοῦ εἰσιν ἡμέραις (lxx) Job 32:4 Igitur Eliu expectavit Job loquentem, eo quod seniores essent qui loquebantur.(vulgate) 4 ׃32 וֶֽאֱלִיה֗וּ חִכָּ֣ה אֶת־אִ֭יּוֹב בִּדְבָרִ֑ים כִּ֤י זְֽקֵנִים־הֵ֖מָּה מִמֶּ֣נּוּ לְיָמִֽים׃ Job Job 32:4 Denn Elihu hatte geharrt, bis daß sie mit Hiob geredet hatten, weil sie älter waren als er.(dhs) Job 32:4 Now because they were years older than he, Elihu had waited to speak to Job.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:5 ============ Job 32:5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men his anger burned.(nas) Job 32:5 καὶ εἶδεν Ελιους ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἀπόκρισις ἐν στόματι τῶν τριῶν ἀνδρῶν καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργὴ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 32:5 Cum autem vidisset quod tres respondere non potuissent, iratus est vehementer.(vulgate) 5 ׃32 וַיַּ֤רְא אֱלִיה֗וּא כִּ֘י אֵ֤ין מַעֲנֶ֗ה בְּ֭פִי שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים וַיִּ֥חַר אַפּֽוֹ׃ פ Job Job 32:5 Darum, da er sah, daß keine Antwort war im Munde der drei Männer, ward er zornig.(dhs) Job 32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was aroused.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:6 ============ Job 32:6 So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said, "I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.(nas) Job 32:6 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιους ὁ τοῦ Βαραχιηλ ὁ Βουζίτης εἶπεν νεώτερος μέν εἰμι τῷ χρόνῳ ὑμεῖς δέ ἐστε πρεσβύτεροι διὸ ἡσύχασα φοβηθεὶς τοῦ ὑμῖν ἀναγγεῖλαι τὴν ἐμαυτοῦ ἐπιστήμην (lxx) Job 32:6 Respondensque Eliu filius Barachel Buzites, dixit: [Junior sum tempore, vos autem antiquiores: idcirco, demisso capite, veritus sum vobis indicare meam sententiam.(vulgate) 6 ׃32 וַיַּ֤עַן ׀ אֱלִיה֖וּא בֶן־בַּֽרַכְאֵ֥ל הַבּוּזִ֗י וַיֹּ֫אמַֽ[m]ר צָ֘עִ֤יר אֲנִ֣י לְ֭יָמִים וְאַתֶּ֣ם יְשִׁישִׁ֑ים עַל־כֵּ֖ן זָחַ֥לְתִּי וָֽאִירָ֓א ׀ מֵחַוֺּ֖ת דֵּעִ֣י אֶתְכֶֽם׃ Job Job 32:6 Und so antwortete Elihu, der Sohn Baracheels von Bus, und sprach: Ich bin jung, ihr aber seid alt; darum habe ich mich gescheut und gefürchtet, mein Wissen euch kundzutun.(dhs) Job 32:6 So Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, answered and said: "I am young in years, and you are very old; Therefore I was afraid, And dared not declare my opinion to you.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:7 ============ Job 32:7 "I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom.(nas) Job 32:7 εἶπα δὲ ὅτι ὁ χρόνος ἐστὶν ὁ λαλῶν ἐν πολλοῖς δὲ ἔτεσιν οἴδασιν σοφίαν (lxx) Job 32:7 Sperabam enim quod ætas prolixior loqueretur, et annorum multitudo doceret sapientiam.(vulgate) 7 ׃32 אָ֭מַרְתִּי יָמִ֣ים יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ וְרֹ֥ב שָׁ֝נִ֗ים יֹדִ֥יעוּ חָכְמָֽה׃ Job Job 32:7 Ich dachte: Laß das Alter reden, und die Menge der Jahre laß Weisheit beweisen.(dhs) Job 32:7 I said, 'Age should speak, And multitude of years should teach wisdom.'(nkjv) ======= Job 32:8 ============ Job 32:8 "But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.(nas) Job 32:8 ἀλλὰ πνεῦμά ἐστιν ἐν βροτοῖς πνοὴ δὲ παντοκράτορός ἐστιν ἡ διδάσκουσα (lxx) Job 32:8 Sed, ut video, spiritus est in hominibus, et inspiratio Omnipotentis dat intelligentiam.(vulgate) 8 ׃32 אָ֭כֵן רֽוּחַ־הִ֣יא בֶאֱנ֑וֹשׁ וְנִשְׁמַ֖ת שַׁדַּ֣י תְּבִינֵֽם׃ Job Job 32:8 Aber der Geist ist in den Leuten und der Odem des Allmächtigen, der sie verständig macht.(dhs) Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:9 ============ Job 32:9 "The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.(nas) Job 32:9 οὐχ οἱ πολυχρόνιοί εἰσιν σοφοί οὐδ᾽ οἱ γέροντες οἴδασιν κρίμα (lxx) Job 32:9 Non sunt longævi sapientes, nec senes intelligunt judicium.(vulgate) 9 ׃32 לֹֽא־רַבִּ֥ים יֶחְכָּ֑מוּ וּ֝זְקֵנִ֗ים יָבִ֥ינוּ מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ Job Job 32:9 Die Großen sind nicht immer die Weisesten, und die Alten verstehen nicht das Recht.(dhs) Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise, Nor do the aged always understand justice.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:10 ============ Job 32:10 "So I say, 'Listen to me, I too will tell what I think.'(nas) Job 32:10 διὸ εἶπα ἀκούσατέ μου καὶ ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν ἃ οἶδα (lxx) Job 32:10 Ideo dicam: Audite me: ostendam vobis etiam ego meam sapientiam.(vulgate) 10 ׃32 לָכֵ֣ן אָ֭מַרְתִּי שִׁמְעָה־לִּ֑י אֲחַוֶּ֖ה דֵעִ֣י אַף־אָֽנִי׃ Job Job 32:10 Darum will ich auch reden; höre mir zu. Ich will mein Wissen auch kundtun.(dhs) Job 32:10 "Therefore I say, 'Listen to me, I also will declare my opinion.'(nkjv) ======= Job 32:11 ============ Job 32:11 "Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, While you pondered what to say.(nas) Job 32:11 ἐνωτίζεσθέ μου τὰ ῥήματα ἐρῶ γὰρ ὑμῶν ἀκουόντων ἄχρι οὗ ἐτάσητε λόγους (lxx) Job 32:11 Expectavi enim sermones vestros; audivi prudentiam vestram, donec disceptaremini sermonibus;(vulgate) 11 ׃32 הֵ֤ן הוֹחַ֨לְתִּי לְֽדִבְרֵיכֶ֗ם אָ֭זִין עַד־תְּב֥וּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם עַֽד־תַּחְקְר֥וּן מִלִּֽין׃ Job Job 32:11 Siehe, ich habe geharrt auf das, was ihr geredet habt; ich habe aufgemerkt auf eure Einsicht, bis ihr träfet die rechte Rede,(dhs) Job 32:11 Indeed I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, while you searched out what to say.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:12 ============ Job 32:12 "I even paid close attention to you; Indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.(nas) Job 32:12 καὶ μέχρι ὑμῶν συνήσω καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἦν τῷ Ιωβ ἐλέγχων ἀνταποκρινόμενος ῥήματα αὐτοῦ ἐξ ὑμῶν (lxx) Job 32:12 et donec putabam vos aliquid dicere, considerabam: sed, ut video, non est qui possit arguere Job, et respondere ex vobis sermonibus ejus.(vulgate) 12 ׃32 וְעָֽדֵיכֶ֗ם אֶתְבּ֫וֹנָ֥ן וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֵ֣ין לְאִיּ֣וֹב מוֹכִ֑יחַ עוֹנֶ֖ה אֲמָרָ֣יו מִכֶּֽם׃ Job Job 32:12 und ich habe achtgehabt auf euch. Aber siehe, da ist keiner unter euch, der Hiob zurechtweise oder seiner Rede antworte.(dhs) Job 32:12 I paid close attention to you; And surely not one of you convinced Job, Or answered his words--(nkjv) ======= Job 32:13 ============ Job 32:13 "Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; God will rout him, not man.'(nas) Job 32:13 ἵνα μὴ εἴπητε εὕρομεν σοφίαν κυρίῳ προσθέμενοι (lxx) Job 32:13 Ne forte dicatis: Invenimus sapientiam: Deus projecit eum, non homo.(vulgate) 13 ׃32 פֶּן־תֹּ֣֭אמְרוּ מָצָ֣אנוּ חָכְמָ֑ה אֵ֖ל יִדְּפֶ֣נּוּ לֹא־אִֽישׁ׃ Job Job 32:13 Sagt nur nicht: "Wir haben Weisheit getroffen; Gott muß ihn schlagen, kein Mensch."(dhs) Job 32:13 Lest you say, 'We have found wisdom'; God will vanquish him, not man.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:14 ============ Job 32:14 "For he has not arranged his words against me, Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.(nas) Job 32:14 ἀνθρώπῳ δὲ ἐπετρέψατε λαλῆσαι τοιαῦτα ῥήματα (lxx) Job 32:14 Nihil locutus est mihi: et ego non secundum sermones vestros respondebo illi.(vulgate) 14 ׃32 וְלֹא־עָרַ֣ךְ אֵלַ֣י מִלִּ֑ין וּ֝בְאִמְרֵיכֶ֗ם לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ Job Job 32:14 Gegen mich hat er seine Worte nicht gerichtet, und mit euren Reden will ich ihm nicht antworten.(dhs) Job 32:14 Now he has not directed his words against me; So I will not answer him with your words.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:15 ============ Job 32:15 "They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.(nas) Job 32:15 ἐπτοήθησαν οὐκ ἀπεκρίθησαν ἔτι ἐπαλαίωσαν ἐξ αὐτῶν λόγους (lxx) Job 32:15 Extimuerunt, nec responderunt ultra, abstuleruntque a se eloquia.(vulgate) 15 ׃32 חַ֭תּוּ לֹא־עָ֣נוּ ע֑וֹד הֶעְתִּ֖יקוּ מֵהֶ֣ם מִלִּֽים׃ Job Job 32:15 Ach! sie sind verzagt, können nicht mehr antworten; sie können nicht mehr reden.(dhs) Job 32:15 "They are dismayed and answer no more; Words escape them.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:16 ============ Job 32:16 "Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer?(nas) Job 32:16 ὑπέμεινα οὐ γὰρ ἐλάλησαν ὅτι ἔστησαν οὐκ ἀπεκρίθησαν (lxx) Job 32:16 Quoniam igitur expectavi, et non sunt locuti: steterunt, nec ultra responderunt:(vulgate) 16 ׃32 וְ֭הוֹחַלְתִּי כִּי־לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ כִּ֥י עָ֝מְד֗וּ לֹא־עָ֥נוּ עֽוֹד׃ Job Job 32:16 Weil ich denn geharrt habe, und sie konnten nicht reden (denn sie stehen still und antworten nicht mehr),(dhs) Job 32:16 And I have waited, because they did not speak, Because they stood still and answered no more.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:17 ============ Job 32:17 "I too will answer my share, I also will tell my opinion.(nas) Job 32:17 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιους λέγει (lxx) Job 32:17 respondebo et ego partem meam, et ostendam scientiam meam.(vulgate) 17 ׃32 אַעֲנֶ֣ה אַף־אֲנִ֣י חֶלְקִ֑י אֲחַוֶּ֖ה דֵעִ֣י אַף־אָֽנִי׃ Job Job 32:17 will ich auch mein Teil antworten und will mein Wissen kundtun.(dhs) Job 32:17 I also will answer my part, I too will declare my opinion.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:18 ============ Job 32:18 "For I am full of words; The spirit within me constrains me.(nas) Job 32:18 πάλιν λαλήσω πλήρης γάρ εἰμι ῥημάτων ὀλέκει γάρ με τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς γαστρός (lxx) Job 32:18 Plenus sum enim sermonibus, et coarctat me spiritus uteri mei.(vulgate) 18 ׃32 כִּ֭י מָלֵ֣תִי מִלִּ֑ים הֱ֝צִיקַ֗תְנִי ר֣וּחַ בִּטְנִֽי׃ Job Job 32:18 Denn ich bin der Reden so voll, daß mich der Odem in meinem Innern ängstet.(dhs) Job 32:18 For I am full of words; The spirit within me compels me.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:19 ============ Job 32:19 "Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, Like new wineskins it is about to burst.(nas) Job 32:19 ἡ δὲ γαστήρ μου ὥσπερ ἀσκὸς γλεύκους ζέων δεδεμένος ἢ ὥσπερ φυσητὴρ χαλκέως ἐρρηγώς (lxx) Job 32:19 En venter meus quasi mustum absque spiraculo, quod lagunculas novas disrumpit.(vulgate) 19 ׃32 הִנֵּֽה־בִטְנִ֗י כְּיַ֥יִן לֹא־יִפָּתֵ֑חַ כְּאֹב֥וֹת חֲ֝דָשִׁ֗ים יִבָּקֵֽעַ׃ Job Job 32:19 Siehe, mein Inneres ist wie der Most, der zugestopft ist, der die neuen Schläuche zerreißt.(dhs) Job 32:19 Indeed my belly is like wine that has no vent; It is ready to burst like new wineskins.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:20 ============ Job 32:20 "Let me speak that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.(nas) Job 32:20 λαλήσω ἵνα ἀναπαύσωμαι ἀνοίξας τὰ χείλη (lxx) Job 32:20 Loquar, et respirabo paululum: aperiam labia mea, et respondebo.(vulgate) 20 ׃32 אֲדַבְּרָ֥ה וְיִֽרְוַֽח־לִ֑י אֶפְתַּ֖ח שְׂפָתַ֣י וְאֶֽעֱנֶֽה׃ Job Job 32:20 Ich muß reden, daß ich mir Luft mache; ich muß meine Lippen auftun und antworten.(dhs) Job 32:20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:21 ============ Job 32:21 "Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man.(nas) Job 32:21 ἄνθρωπον γὰρ οὐ μὴ αἰσχυνθῶ ἀλλὰ μὴν οὐδὲ βροτὸν οὐ μὴ ἐντραπῶ (lxx) Job 32:21 Non accipiam personam viri, et Deum homini non æquabo.(vulgate) 21 ׃32 אַל־נָ֭א אֶשָּׂ֣א פְנֵי־אִ֑ישׁ וְאֶל־אָ֝דָ֗ם לֹ֣א אֲכַנֶּֽה׃ Job Job 32:21 Ich will niemands Person ansehen und will keinem Menschen schmeicheln.(dhs) Job 32:21 Let me not, I pray, show partiality to anyone; Nor let me flatter any man.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:22 ============ Job 32:22 "For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.(nas) Job 32:22 οὐ γὰρ ἐπίσταμαι θαυμάσαι πρόσωπον εἰ δὲ μή καὶ ἐμὲ σῆτες ἔδονται (lxx) Job 32:22 Nescio enim quamdiu subsistam, et si post modicum tollat me factor meus.](vulgate) 22 ׃32 כִּ֤י לֹ֣א יָדַ֣עְתִּי אֲכַנֶּ֑ה כִּ֝מְעַ֗ט יִשָּׂאֵ֥נִי עֹשֵֽׂנִי׃ Job Job 32:22 Denn ich weiß nicht zu schmeicheln; leicht würde mich sonst mein Schöpfer dahinraffen.(dhs) Job 32:22 For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.(nkjv) ======= Job 33:1 ============ top of the page
