Today's Date: Job 30:31 My harp is turned to mourning, And my flute to the voice of those who weep.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:1 ============ Job 31:1 "I have made a covenant with my eyes; How then could I gaze at a virgin?(nas) Job 31:1 διαθήκην ἐθέμην τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς μου καὶ οὐ συνήσω ἐπὶ παρθένον (lxx) Job 31:1 [Pepigi fœdus cum oculis meis, ut ne cogitarem quidem de virgine.(vulgate) 1 ׃31 בְּ֭רִית כָּרַ֣תִּי לְעֵינָ֑י וּמָ֥ה אֶ֝תְבּוֹנֵ֗ן עַל־בְּתוּלָֽה׃ Job Job 31:1 Ich habe einen Bund gemacht mit meinen Augen, daß ich nicht achtete auf eine Jungfrau.(dhs) Job 31:1 "I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:2 ============ Job 31:2 "And what is the portion of God from above Or the heritage of the Almighty from on high?(nas) Job 31:2 καὶ τί ἐμέρισεν ὁ θεὸς ἀπάνωθεν καὶ κληρονομία ἱκανοῦ ἐξ ὑψίστων (lxx) Job 31:2 Quam enim partem haberet in me Deus desuper, et hæreditatem Omnipotens de excelsis?(vulgate) 2 ׃31 וּמֶ֤ה ׀ חֵ֣לֶק אֱל֣וֹהַּ מִמָּ֑עַל וְֽנַחֲלַ֥ת שַׁ֝דַּ֗י מִמְּרֹמִֽים׃ Job Job 31:2 Was gäbe mir Gott sonst als Teil von oben und was für ein Erbe der Allmächtige in der Höhe?(dhs) Job 31:2 For what is the allotment of God from above, And the inheritance of the Almighty from on high?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:3 ============ Job 31:3 "Is it not calamity to the unjust And disaster to those who work iniquity?(nas) Job 31:3 οὐχὶ ἀπώλεια τῷ ἀδίκῳ καὶ ἀπαλλοτρίωσις τοῖς ποιοῦσιν ἀνομίαν (lxx) Job 31:3 Numquid non perditio est iniquo, et alienatio operantibus injustitiam?(vulgate) 3 ׃31 הֲלֹא־אֵ֥יד לְעַוָּ֑ל וְ֝נֵ֗כֶר לְפֹ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ Job Job 31:3 Wird nicht der Ungerechte Unglück haben und ein Übeltäter verstoßen werden?(dhs) Job 31:3 Is it not destruction for the wicked, And disaster for the workers of iniquity?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:4 ============ Job 31:4 "Does He not see my ways And number all my steps?(nas) Job 31:4 οὐχὶ αὐτὸς ὄψεται ὁδόν μου καὶ πάντα τὰ διαβήματά μου ἐξαριθμήσεται (lxx) Job 31:4 Nonne ipse considerat vias meas, et cunctos gressus meos dinumerat?(vulgate) 4 ׃31 הֲלֹא־ה֭וּא יִרְאֶ֣ה דְרָכָ֑י וְֽכָל־צְעָדַ֥י יִסְפּֽוֹר׃ Job Job 31:4 Sieht er nicht meine Wege und zählt alle meine Gänge?(dhs) Job 31:4 Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:5 ============ Job 31:5 "If I have walked with falsehood, And my foot has hastened after deceit,(nas) Job 31:5 εἰ δὲ ἤμην πεπορευμένος μετὰ γελοιαστῶν εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐσπούδασεν ὁ πούς μου εἰς δόλον (lxx) Job 31:5 Si ambulavi in vanitate, et festinavit in dolo pes meus,(vulgate) 5 ׃31 אִם־הָלַ֥כְתִּי עִם־שָׁ֑וְא וַתַּ֖חַשׁ עַל־מִרְמָ֣ה רַגְלֽ͏ִי׃ Job Job 31:5 Habe ich gewandelt in Eitelkeit, oder hat mein Fuß geeilt zum Betrug?(dhs) Job 31:5 "If I have walked with falsehood, Or if my foot has hastened to deceit,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:6 ============ Job 31:6 Let Him weigh me with accurate scales, And let God know my integrity.(nas) Job 31:6 ἱσταίη με ἄρα ἐν ζυγῷ δικαίῳ οἶδεν δὲ ὁ κύριος τὴν ἀκακίαν μου (lxx) Job 31:6 appendat me in statera justa, et sciat Deus simplicitatem meam.(vulgate) 6 ׃31 יִשְׁקְלֵ֥נִי בְמֹאזְנֵי־צֶ֑דֶק וְיֵדַ֥ע אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ תֻּמָּתִֽי׃ Job Job 31:6 So wäge man mich auf der rechten Waage, so wird Gott erfahren meine Unschuld.(dhs) Job 31:6 Let me be weighed on honest scales, That God may know my integrity.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:7 ============ Job 31:7 "If my step has turned from the way, Or my heart followed my eyes, Or if any spot has stuck to my hands,(nas) Job 31:7 εἰ ἐξέκλινεν ὁ πούς μου ἐκ τῆς ὁδοῦ εἰ δὲ καὶ τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ ἐπηκολούθησεν ἡ καρδία μου εἰ δὲ καὶ ταῖς χερσίν μου ἡψάμην δώρων (lxx) Job 31:7 Si declinavit gressus meus de via, et si secutum est oculos meos cor meum, et si manibus meis adhæsit macula,(vulgate) 7 ׃31 אִ֥ם תִּטֶּ֣ה אַשֻּׁרִי֮ מִנִּ֢י הַ֫דָּ֥רֶךְ וְאַחַ֣ר עֵ֭ינַי הָלַ֣ךְ לִבִּ֑י וּ֝בְכַפַּ֗י דָּ֣בַק מֻאוּֽם׃ פ Job Job 31:7 Ist mein Gang gewichen aus dem Wege und mein Herz meinen Augen nachgefolgt und klebt ein Flecken an meinen Händen,(dhs) Job 31:7 If my step has turned from the way, Or my heart walked after my eyes, Or if any spot adheres to my hands,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:8 ============ Job 31:8 Let me sow and another eat, And let my crops be uprooted.(nas) Job 31:8 σπείραιμι ἄρα καὶ ἄλλοι φάγοισαν ἄρριζος δὲ γενοίμην ἐπὶ γῆς (lxx) Job 31:8 seram, et alius comedat, et progenies mea eradicetur.(vulgate) 8 ׃31 אֶ֭זְרְעָה וְאַחֵ֣ר יֹאכֵ֑ל וְֽצֶאֱצָאַ֥י יְשֹׁרָֽשׁוּ׃ Job Job 31:8 so müsse ich säen, und ein andrer esse es; und mein Geschlecht müsse ausgewurzelt werden.(dhs) Job 31:8 Then let me sow, and another eat; Yes, let my harvest be rooted out.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:9 ============ Job 31:9 "If my heart has been enticed by a woman, Or I have lurked at my neighbor's doorway,(nas) Job 31:9 εἰ ἐξηκολούθησεν ἡ καρδία μου γυναικὶ ἀνδρὸς ἑτέρου εἰ καὶ ἐγκάθετος ἐγενόμην ἐπὶ θύραις αὐτῆς (lxx) Job 31:9 Si deceptum est cor meum super muliere, et si ad ostium amici mei insidiatus sum,(vulgate) 9 ׃31 אִם־נִפְתָּ֣ה לִ֭בִּי עַל־אִשָּׁ֑ה וְעַל־פֶּ֖תַח רֵעִ֣י אָרָֽבְתִּי׃ Job Job 31:9 Hat sich mein Herz lassen reizen zum Weibe und habe ich an meines Nächsten Tür gelauert,(dhs) Job 31:9 "If my heart has been enticed by a woman, Or if I have lurked at my neighbor's door,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:10 ============ Job 31:10 May my wife grind for another, And let others kneel down over her.(nas) Job 31:10 ἀρέσαι ἄρα καὶ ἡ γυνή μου ἑτέρῳ τὰ δὲ νήπιά μου ταπεινωθείη (lxx) Job 31:10 scortum alterius sit uxor mea, et super illam incurventur alii.(vulgate) 10 ׃31 תִּטְחַ֣ן לְאַחֵ֣ר אִשְׁתִּ֑י וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ יִכְרְע֥וּן אֲחֵרִֽין׃ Job Job 31:10 so müsse mein Weib von einem andern geschändet werden, und andere müssen bei ihr liegen;(dhs) Job 31:10 Then let my wife grind for another, And let others bow down over her.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:11 ============ Job 31:11 "For that would be a lustful crime; Moreover, it would be an iniquity punishable by judges.(nas) Job 31:11 θυμὸς γὰρ ὀργῆς ἀκατάσχετος τὸ μιᾶναι ἀνδρὸς γυναῖκα (lxx) Job 31:11 Hoc enim nefas est, et iniquitas maxima.(vulgate) 11 ׃31 כִּי־*הוא **הִ֥יא זִמָּ֑ה *והיא **וְ֝ה֗וּא עָוֺ֥ן פְּלִילִֽים׃ Job Job 31:11 denn das ist ein Frevel und eine Missetat für die Richter.(dhs) Job 31:11 For that would be wickedness; Yes, it would be iniquity deserving of judgment.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:12 ============ Job 31:12 "For it would be fire that consumes to Abaddon, And would uproot all my increase.(nas) Job 31:12 πῦρ γάρ ἐστιν καιόμενον ἐπὶ πάντων τῶν μερῶν οὗ δ᾽ ἂν ἐπέλθῃ ἐκ ῥιζῶν ἀπώλεσεν (lxx) Job 31:12 Ignis est usque ad perditionem devorans, et omnia eradicans genimina.(vulgate) 12 ׃31 כִּ֤י אֵ֣שׁ הִ֭יא עַד־אֲבַדּ֣וֹן תֹּאכֵ֑ל וּֽבְכָל־תְּב֖וּאָתִ֣י תְשָׁרֵֽשׁ׃ Job Job 31:12 Denn das wäre ein Feuer, das bis in den Abgrund verzehrte und all mein Einkommen auswurzelte.(dhs) Job 31:12 For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction, And would root out all my increase.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:13 ============ Job 31:13 "If I have despised the claim of my male or female slaves When they filed a complaint against me,(nas) Job 31:13 εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐφαύλισα κρίμα θεράποντός μου ἢ θεραπαίνης κρινομένων αὐτῶν πρός με (lxx) Job 31:13 Si contempsi subire judicium cum servo meo et ancilla mea, cum disceptarent adversum me:(vulgate) 13 ׃31 אִם־אֶמְאַ֗ס מִשְׁפַּ֣ט עַ֭בְדִּי וַאֲמָתִ֑י בְּ֝רִבָ֗ם עִמָּדִֽי׃ Job Job 31:13 Hab ich verachtet das Recht meines Knechtes oder meiner Magd, wenn sie eine Sache wider mich hatten?(dhs) Job 31:13 "If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant When they complained against me,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:14 ============ Job 31:14 What then could I do when God arises? And when He calls me to account, what will I answer Him?(nas) Job 31:14 τί γὰρ ποιήσω ἐὰν ἔτασίν μου ποιήσηται ὁ κύριος ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ἐπισκοπήν τίνα ἀπόκρισιν ποιήσομαι (lxx) Job 31:14 quid enim faciam cum surrexerit ad judicandum Deus? et cum quæsierit, quid respondebo illi?(vulgate) 14 ׃31 וּמָ֣ה אֶֽ֭עֱשֶׂה כִּֽי־יָק֣וּם אֵ֑ל וְכִֽי־יִ֝פְקֹ֗ד מָ֣ה אֲשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ Job Job 31:14 Was wollte ich tun, wenn Gott sich aufmachte, und was würde ich antworten, wenn er heimsuchte?(dhs) Job 31:14 What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:15 ============ Job 31:15 "Did not He who made me in the womb make him, And the same one fashion us in the womb?(nas) Job 31:15 πότερον οὐχ ὡς καὶ ἐγὼ ἐγενόμην ἐν γαστρί καὶ ἐκεῖνοι γεγόνασιν γεγόναμεν δὲ ἐν τῇ αὐτῇ κοιλίᾳ (lxx) Job 31:15 Numquid non in utero fecit me, qui et illum operatus est, et formavit me in vulva unus?(vulgate) 15 ׃31 הֲֽ֝לֹא־בַ֭בֶּטֶן עֹשֵׂ֣נִי עָשָׂ֑הוּ וַ֝יְכֻנֶ֗נּוּ בָּרֶ֥חֶם אֶחָֽד׃ Job Job 31:15 Hat ihn nicht auch der gemacht, der mich in Mutterleibe machte, und hat ihn im Schoße ebensowohl bereitet?(dhs) Job 31:15 Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?(nkjv) ======= Job 31:16 ============ Job 31:16 "If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,(nas) Job 31:16 ἀδύνατοι δὲ χρείαν ἥν ποτ᾽ εἶχον οὐκ ἀπέτυχον χήρας δὲ τὸν ὀφθαλμὸν οὐκ ἐξέτηξα (lxx) Job 31:16 Si negavi quod volebant pauperibus, et oculos viduæ expectare feci;(vulgate) 16 ׃31 אִם־אֶ֭מְנַע מֵחֵ֣פֶץ דַּלִּ֑ים וְעֵינֵ֖י אַלְמָנָ֣ה אֲכַלֶּֽה׃ Job Job 31:16 Habe ich den Dürftigen ihr Begehren versagt und die Augen der Witwe lassen verschmachten?(dhs) Job 31:16 "If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:17 ============ Job 31:17 Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the orphan has not shared it(nas) Job 31:17 εἰ δὲ καὶ τὸν ψωμόν μου ἔφαγον μόνος καὶ οὐχὶ ὀρφανῷ μετέδωκα (lxx) Job 31:17 si comedi buccellam meam solus, et non comedit pupillus ex ea(vulgate) 17 ׃31 וְאֹכַ֣ל פִּתִּ֣י לְבַדִּ֑י וְלֹא־אָכַ֖ל יָת֣וֹם מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ Job Job 31:17 Hab ich meinen Bissen allein gegessen, und hat nicht der Waise auch davon gegessen?(dhs) Job 31:17 Or eaten my morsel by myself, So that the fatherless could not eat of it(nkjv) ======= Job 31:18 ============ Job 31:18 ( But from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And from infancy I guided her),(nas) Job 31:18 ὅτι ἐκ νεότητός μου ἐξέτρεφον ὡς πατὴρ καὶ ἐκ γαστρὸς μητρός μου ὡδήγησα (lxx) Job 31:18 (quia ab infantia mea crevit mecum miseratio, et de utero matris meæ egressa est mecum);(vulgate) 18 ׃31 כִּ֣י מִ֭נְּעוּרַי גְּדֵלַ֣נִי כְאָ֑ב וּמִבֶּ֖טֶן אִמִּ֣י אַנְחֶֽנָּה׃ Job Job 31:18 Denn ich habe mich von Jugend auf gehalten wie ein Vater, und von meiner Mutter Leib an habe ich gerne getröstet.(dhs) Job 31:18 (But from my youth I reared him as a father, And from my mother's womb I guided the widow);(nkjv) ======= Job 31:19 ============ Job 31:19 If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or that the needy had no covering,(nas) Job 31:19 εἰ δὲ καὶ ὑπερεῖδον γυμνὸν ἀπολλύμενον καὶ οὐκ ἠμφίασα (lxx) Job 31:19 si despexi pereuntem, eo quod non habuerit indumentum, et absque operimento pauperem;(vulgate) 19 ׃31 אִם־אֶרְאֶ֣ה א֭וֹבֵד מִבְּלִ֣י לְב֑וּשׁ וְאֵ֥ין כְּ֝ס֗וּת לָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃ Job Job 31:19 Hab ich jemand sehen umkommen, daß er kein Kleid hatte, und den Armen ohne Decke gehen lassen?(dhs) Job 31:19 If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or any poor man without covering;(nkjv) ======= Job 31:20 ============ Job 31:20 If his loins have not thanked me, And if he has not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep,(nas) Job 31:20 ἀδύνατοι δὲ εἰ μὴ εὐλόγησάν με ἀπὸ δὲ κουρᾶς ἀμνῶν μου ἐθερμάνθησαν οἱ ὦμοι αὐτῶν (lxx) Job 31:20 si non benedixerunt mihi latera ejus, et de velleribus ovium mearum calefactus est;(vulgate) 20 ׃31 אִם־לֹ֣א בֵרֲכ֣וּנִי *חלצו **חֲלָצָ֑יו וּמִגֵּ֥ז כְּ֝בָשַׂי יִתְחַמָּֽם׃ Job Job 31:20 Haben mich nicht gesegnet seine Lenden, da er von den Fellen meiner Lämmer erwärmt ward?(dhs) Job 31:20 If his heart has not blessed me, And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;(nkjv) ======= Job 31:21 ============ Job 31:21 If I have lifted up my hand against the orphan, Because I saw I had support in the gate,(nas) Job 31:21 εἰ ἐπῆρα ὀρφανῷ χεῖρα πεποιθὼς ὅτι πολλή μοι βοήθεια περίεστιν (lxx) Job 31:21 si levavi super pupillum manum meam, etiam cum viderem me in porta superiorem:(vulgate) 21 ׃31 אִם־הֲנִיפ֣וֹתִי עַל־יָת֣וֹם יָדִ֑י כִּֽי־אֶרְאֶ֥ה בַ֝שַּׁ֗עַר עֶזְרָתִֽי׃ Job Job 31:21 Hab ich meine Hand an den Waisen gelegt, weil ich sah, daß ich im Tor Helfer hatte?(dhs) Job 31:21 If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, When I saw I had help in the gate;(nkjv) ======= Job 31:22 ============ Job 31:22 Let my shoulder fall from the socket, And my arm be broken off at the elbow.(nas) Job 31:22 ἀποσταίη ἄρα ὁ ὦμός μου ἀπὸ τῆς κλειδός ὁ δὲ βραχίων μου ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀγκῶνός μου συντριβείη (lxx) Job 31:22 humerus meus a junctura sua cadat, et brachium meum cum suis ossibus confringatur.(vulgate) 22 ׃31 כְּ֭תֵפִי מִשִּׁכְמָ֣ה תִפּ֑וֹל וְ֝אֶזְרֹעִ֗י מִקָּנָ֥ה תִשָּׁבֵֽר׃ Job Job 31:22 So falle meine Schulter von der Achsel, und mein Arm breche von der Röhre.(dhs) Job 31:22 Then let my arm fall from my shoulder, Let my arm be torn from the socket.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:23 ============ Job 31:23 "For calamity from God is a terror to me, And because of His majesty I can do nothing.(nas) Job 31:23 φόβος γὰρ κυρίου συνέσχεν με καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ λήμματος αὐτοῦ οὐχ ὑποίσω (lxx) Job 31:23 Semper enim quasi tumentes super me fluctus timui Deum, et pondus ejus ferre non potui.(vulgate) 23 ׃31 כִּ֤י פַ֣חַד אֵ֭לַי אֵ֣יד אֵ֑ל וּ֝מִשְּׂאֵת֗וֹ לֹ֣א אוּכָֽל׃ Job Job 31:23 Denn ich fürchte Gottes Strafe über mich und könnte seine Last nicht ertragen.(dhs) Job 31:23 For destruction from God is a terror to me, And because of His magnificence I cannot endure.(nkjv) ======= Job 31:24 ============ Job 31:24 "If I have put my confidence in gold, And called fine gold my trust,(nas) Job 31:24 εἰ ἔταξα χρυσίον ἰσχύν μου εἰ δὲ καὶ λίθῳ πολυτελεῖ ἐπεποίθησα (lxx) Job 31:24 Si putavi aurum robur meum, et obrizo dixi: Fiducia mea;(vulgate) 24 ׃31 אִם־שַׂ֣מְתִּי זָהָ֣ב כִּסְלִ֑י וְ֝לַכֶּ֗תֶם אָמַ֥רְתִּי מִבְטַחִֽי׃ Job Job 31:24 Hab ich das Gold zu meiner Zuversicht gemacht und zu dem Goldklumpen gesagt: "Mein Trost"?(dhs) Job 31:24 "If I have made gold my hope, Or said to fine gold, 'You are my confidence';(nkjv) ======= Job 31:25 ============ Job 31:25 If I have gloated because my wealth was great, And because my hand had secured so much;(nas) Job 31:25 εἰ δὲ καὶ εὐφράνθην πολλοῦ πλούτου μοι γενομένου εἰ δὲ καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀναριθμήτοις ἐθέμην χεῖρά μου (lxx) Job 31:25 si lætatus sum super multis divitiis meis, et quia plurima reperit manus mea;(vulgate) 25 ׃31 אִם־אֶ֭שְׂמַח כִּי־רַ֣ב חֵילִ֑י וְכִֽי־כַ֝בִּ֗יר מָצְאָ֥ה יָדִֽי׃ Job Job 31:25 Hab ich mich gefreut, daß ich großes Gut hatte und meine Hand allerlei erworben hatte?(dhs) Job 31:25 If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gained much;(nkjv) ======= Job 31:26 ============ Job 31:26 If I have looked at the sun when it shone Or the moon going in splendor,(nas) Job 31:26 ἦ οὐχ ὁρῶ μὲν ἥλιον τὸν ἐπιφαύσκοντα ἐκλείποντα σελήνην δὲ φθίνουσαν οὐ γὰρ ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς ἐστιν (lxx) Job 31:26 si vidi solem cum fulgeret, et lunam incedentem clare,(vulgate) 26 ׃31 אִם־אֶרְאֶ֣ה א֖וֹר כִּ֣י יָהֵ֑ל וְ֝יָרֵ֗חַ יָקָ֥ר הֹלֵֽךְ׃ Job Job 31:26 Hab ich das Licht angesehen, wenn es hell leuchtete, und den Mond, wenn er voll ging,(dhs) Job 31:26 If I have observed the sun when it shines, Or the moon moving in brightness,(nkjv) ======= Job 31:27 ============ Job 31:27 And my heart became secretly enticed, And my hand threw a kiss from my mouth,(nas) Job 31:27 καὶ εἰ ἠπατήθη λάθρᾳ ἡ καρδία μου εἰ δὲ καὶ χεῖρά μου ἐπιθεὶς ἐπὶ στόματί μου ἐφίλησα (lxx) Job 31:27 et lætatum est in abscondito cor meum, et osculatus sum manum meam ore meo:(vulgate) 27 ׃31 וַיִּ֣פְתְּ בַּסֵּ֣תֶר לִבִּ֑י וַתִּשַּׁ֖ק יָדִ֣י לְפִֽי׃ Job Job 31:27 daß ich mein Herz heimlich beredet hätte, ihnen Küsse zuzuwerfen mit meiner Hand?(dhs) Job 31:27 So that my heart has been secretly enticed, And my mouth has kissed my hand;(nkjv) ======= Job 31:28 ============ Job 31:28 That too would have been an iniquity calling for judgment, For I would have denied God above.(nas) Job 31:28 καὶ τοῦτό μοι ἄρα ἀνομία ἡ μεγίστη λογισθείη ὅτι ἐψευσάμην ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ ὑψίστου (lxx) Job 31:28 quæ est iniquitas maxima, et negatio contra Deum altissimum.(vulgate) 28 ׃31 גַּם־ה֭וּא עָוֺ֣ן פְּלִילִ֑י כִּֽי־כִחַ֖שְׁתִּי לָאֵ֣ל מִמָּֽעַל׃ Job Job 31:28 was auch eine Missetat ist vor den Richtern; denn damit hätte ich verleugnet Gott in der Höhe.(dhs) Job 31:28 This überhoben, darum daß ihn Unglück betreten hatte?(dhs) Job 31:29 "If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him(nkjv) ======= Job 31:30 ============ Job 31:30 "No, I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for his life in a curse.(nas) Job 31:30 ἀκούσαι ἄρα τὸ οὖς μου τὴν κατάραν μου θρυληθείην δὲ ἄρα ὑπὸ λαοῦ μου κακούμενος (lxx) Job 31:30 non enim dedi ad peccandum guttur meum, ut expeterem maledicens animam ejus.(vulgate) 30 ׃31 וְלֹא־נָתַ֣תִּי לַחֲטֹ֣א חִכִּ֑י לִשְׁאֹ֖ל בְּאָלָ֣ה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ Job Job 31:30 Denn ich ließ meinen Mund nicht sündigen, daß ich verwünschte mit einem Fluch seine Seele.(dhs) Job 31:30 (Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for a curse on his soul);(nkjv) ======= Job 31:31 ============ Job 31:31 λίαν μου χρηστοῦ ὄντος (lxx) Job 31:31 Si non dixerunt viri tabernaculi mei: Quis det de carnibus ejus, ut saturemur?(vulgate) 31 ׃31 אִם־לֹ֣א אָ֭מְרוּ מְתֵ֣י אָהֳלִ֑י מִֽי־יִתֵּ֥ן מִ֝בְּשָׂר֗וֹ לֹ֣א נִשְׂבָּֽע׃ Job Job 31:31 Haben nicht die Männer in meiner Hütte müssen sagen: "Wo ist einer, der von seinem Fleisch nicht wäre gesättigt worden?"(dhs) Job 31:31 If the men of my tent have not said, 'Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?'(nkjv) ======= Job 31:32 ============ Job 31:32 "The alien has not lodged outside, For I have opened my doors to the traveler.(nas) Job 31:32 ἔξω δὲ οὐκ ηὐλίζετο ξένος ἡ δὲ θύρα μου παντὶ ἐλθόντι ἀνέῳκτο (lxx) Job 31:32 foris non mansit peregrinus: ostium meum viatori patuit.(vulgate) 32 ׃31 בַּ֭חוּץ לֹא־יָלִ֣ין גֵּ֑ר דְּ֝לָתַ֗י לָאֹ֥רַח אֶפְתָּֽח׃ Job Job 31:32 Draußen mußte der Gast nicht bleiben, sondern meine Tür tat ich dem Wanderer auf.(dhs) Job 31:32 (But no sojourner had to lodge in the street, For I have opened my doors to the traveler);(nkjv) ======= Job 31:33 ============ Job 31:33 "Have I covered my transgressions like Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my bosom,(nas) Job 31:33 εἰ δὲ καὶ ἁμαρτὼν ἀκουσίως ἔκρυψα τὴν ἁμαρτίαν μου (lxx) Job 31:33 Si abscondi quasi homo peccatum meum, et celavi in sinu meo iniquitatem meam;(vulgate) 33 ׃31 אִם־כִּסִּ֣יתִי כְאָדָ֣ם פְּשָׁעָ֑י לִטְמ֖וֹן בְּחֻבִּ֣י עֲוֺֽנִי׃ Job Job 31:33 Hab ich meine Übertretungen nach Menschenweise zugedeckt, daß ich heimlich meine Missetat verbarg?(dhs) Job 31:33 If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my terruit me: et non magis tacui, nec egressus sum ostium.(vulgate) 34 ׃31 כִּ֤י אֶֽעֱר֨וֹץ ׀ הָ֘מ֤וֹן רַבָּ֗ה וּבוּז־מִשְׁפָּח֥וֹת יְחִתֵּ֑נִי וָ֝אֶדֹּ֗ם לֹא־אֵ֥צֵא פָֽתַח׃ Job Job 31:34 Habe ich mir grauen lassen vor der großen Menge, und hat die Verachtung der Freundschaften mich abgeschreckt, daß ich stille blieb und nicht zur Tür ausging?(dhs) Job 31:34 Because I feared the great multitude, Behold, here is my signature; Let the Almighty answer me! The words of Job are ended.(nas) Job 31:40 ἀντὶ πυροῦ ἄρα ἐξέλθοι μοι κνίδη ἀντὶ δὲ κριθῆς βάτος καὶ ἐπαύσατο Ιωβ ῥήμασιν (lxx) Job 31:40 pro frumento oriatur mihi tribulus, et pro hordeo spina.] Finita sunt verba Job.(vulgate) 40 ׃31 תַּ֤חַת חִטָּ֨ה ׀ יֵ֥צֵא ח֗וֹחַ וְתַֽחַת־שְׂעֹרָ֥ה בָאְשָׁ֑ה תַּ֝֗מּוּ דִּבְרֵ֥י אִיּֽוֹב׃ פ Job Job 31:40 so mögen mir Disteln wachsen für Weizen und Dornen für Gerste.
