Today's Date: ======= Psalm 2:1 ============ Psa 2:1 Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?(nas) Psa 2:1 ἵνα τί ἐφρύαξαν ἔθνη καὶ λαοὶ ἐμελέτησαν κενά (lxx) Psa 2:1 [Quare fremuerunt gentes, et populi meditati sunt inania?(vulgate) 1 ׃2 לָ֭מָּה רָגְשׁ֣וּ גוֹיִ֑ם וּ֝לְאֻמִּ֗ים יֶהְגּוּ־רִֽ[t]יק׃ Psalms Psa 2:1 Warum toben die Heiden, und die Völker reden so vergeblich?(dhs) Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:2 ============ Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,(nas) Psa 2:2 παρέστησαν οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες συνήχθησαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κατὰ τοῦ κυρίου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ χριστοῦ αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 2:2 Astiterunt reges terræ, et principes convenerunt in unum adversus Dominum, et adversus christum ejus.(vulgate) 2 ׃2 יִ֥תְיַצְּב֨וּ ׀ מַלְכֵי־אֶ֗רֶץ וְרוֹזְנִ֥ים נֽוֹסְדוּ־יָ֑חַד עַל־יְ֝הוָה וְעַל־מְשִׁיחֽ[t]וֹ׃ Psalms Psa 2:2 Die Könige der Erde lehnen sich auf, und die Herren ratschlagen miteinander wider den HERRN und seinen Gesalbten:(dhs) Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:3 ============ Psa 2:3 "Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!"(nas) Psa 2:3 διαρρήξωμεν τοὺς δεσμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπορρίψωμεν ἀφ᾽ ἡμῶν τὸν ζυγὸν αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 2:3 Dirumpamus vincula eorum, et projiciamus a nobis jugum ipsorum.(vulgate) 3 ׃2 נְֽ֭נַתְּקָה אֶת־מֽוֹסְרוֹתֵ֑ימוֹ וְנַשְׁלִ֖יכָה מִמֶּ֣נּוּ עֲבֹתֵֽימוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 2:3 "Lasset uns zerreißen ihre Bande und von uns werfen ihre Seile!"(dhs) Psa 2:3 "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:4 ============ Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.(nas) Psa 2:4 ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν οὐρανοῖς ἐκγελάσεται αὐτούς καὶ ὁ κύριος ἐκμυκτηριεῖ αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 2:4 Qui habitat in cælis irridebit eos, et Dominus subsannabit eos.(vulgate) 4 ׃2 יוֹשֵׁ֣ב בַּשָּׁמַ֣יִם יִשְׂחָ֑ק אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י יִלְעַג־לָֽמוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 2:4 Aber der im Himmel wohnt, lacht ihrer, und der HERR spottet ihrer.(dhs) Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:5 ============ Psa 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,(nas) Psa 2:5 τότε λαλήσει πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐν ὀργῇ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ αὐτοῦ ταράξει αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 2:5 Tunc loquetur ad eos in ira sua, et in furore suo conturbabit eos.(vulgate) 5 ׃2 אָ֤ז יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֵ֣ימוֹ בְאַפּ֑וֹ וּֽבַחֲרוֹנ֥וֹ יְבַהֲלֵֽמוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 2:5 Er wird einst mit ihnen reden in seinem Zorn, und mit seinem Grimm wird er sie schrecken.(dhs) Psa 2:5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:6 ============ Psa 2:6 "But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain."(nas) Psa 2:6 ἐγὼ δὲ κατεστάθην βασιλεὺς ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Σιων ὄρος τὸ ἅγιον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 2:6 Ego autem constitutus sum rex ab eo super Sion, montem sanctum ejus, prædicans præceptum ejus.(vulgate) 6 ׃2 וַ֭אֲנִי נָסַ֣כְתִּי מַלְכִּ֑י עַל־צִ֝יּ֗וֹן הַר־קָדְשִֽׁי׃ Psalms Psa 2:6 "Aber ich habe meinen König eingesetzt auf meinem heiligen Berg Zion."(dhs) Psa 2:6 "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:7 ============ Psa 2:7 "I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.(nas) Psa 2:7 διαγγέλλων τὸ πρόσταγμα κυρίου κύριος εἶπεν πρός με υἱός μου εἶ σύ ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε (lxx) Psa 2:7 Dominus dixit ad me: Filius meus es tu; ego hodie genui te.(vulgate) 7 ׃2 אֲסַפְּרָ֗ה אֶֽ֫ל חֹ֥ק יְֽהוָ֗ה אָמַ֘ר אֵלַ֥י בְּנִ֥י אַ֑תָּה אֲ֝נִ֗י הַיּ֥וֹם יְלִדְתִּֽיךָ׃ Psalms Psa 2:7 Ich will von der Weisheit predigen, daß der HERR zu mir gesagt hat: "Du bist mein Sohn, heute habe ich dich gezeuget:(dhs) Psa 2:7 "I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:8 ============ Psa 2:8 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.(nas) Psa 2:8 αἴτησαι παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ δώσω σοι ἔθνη τὴν κληρονομίαν σου καὶ τὴν κατάσχεσίν σου τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς (lxx) Psa 2:8 Postula a me, et dabo tibi gentes hæreditatem tuam, et possessionem tuam terminos terræ.(vulgate) 8 ׃2 שְׁאַ֤ל מִמֶּ֗נִּי וְאֶתְּנָ֣ה ג֭וֹיִם נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ וַ֝אֲחֻזָּתְךָ֗ אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 2:8 heische von mir, so will ich dir Heiden zum Erbe geben und der Welt Enden zum Eigentum.(dhs) Psa 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:9 ============ Psa 2:9 'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'"(nas) Psa 2:9 ποιμανεῖς αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ ὡς σκεῦος κεραμέως συντρίψεις αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 2:9 Reges eos in virga ferrea, et tamquam vas figuli confringes eos.(vulgate) 9 ׃2 תְּ֭רֹעֵם בְּשֵׁ֣בֶט בַּרְזֶ֑ל כִּכְלִ֖י יוֹצֵ֣ר תְּנַפְּצֵֽם׃ Psalms Psa 2:9 Du sollst sie mit einem eisernen Zepter zerschlagen; wie Töpfe sollst du sie zerschmeißen."(dhs) Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.' "(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:10 ============ Psa 2:10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.(nas) Psa 2:10 καὶ νῦν βασιλεῖς σύνετε παιδεύθητε πάντες οἱ κρίνοντες τὴν γῆν (lxx) Psa 2:10 Et nunc, reges, intelligite; erudimini, qui judicatis terram.(vulgate) 10 ׃2 וְ֭עַתָּה מְלָכִ֣ים הַשְׂכִּ֑ילוּ הִ֝וָּסְר֗וּ שֹׁ֣פְטֵי אָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 2:10 So lasset euch nun weisen, ihr Könige, und lasset euch züchtigen, ihr Richter auf Erden!(dhs) Psa 2:10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:11 ============ Psa 2:11 Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling.(nas) Psa 2:11 δουλεύσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε αὐτῷ ἐν τρόμῳ (lxx) Psa 2:11 Servite Domino in timore, et exsultate ei cum tremore.(vulgate) 11 ׃2 עִבְד֣וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה בְּיִרְאָ֑ה וְ֝גִ֗ילוּ בִּרְעָדָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 2:11 Dient dem HERRN mit Furcht und freut euch mit Zittern!(dhs) Psa 2:11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 2:12 ============ Psa 2:12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!(nas) Psa 2:12 δράξασθε παιδείας μήποτε ὀργισθῇ κύριος καὶ ἀπολεῖσθε ἐξ ὁδοῦ δικαίας ὅταν ἐκκαυθῇ ἐν τάχει ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ μακάριοι πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ (lxx) Psa 2:12 Apprehendite disciplinam, nequando irascatur Dominus, et pereatis de via justa. Cum exarserit in brevi ira ejus, beati omnes qui confidunt in eo.](vulgate) 12 ׃2 נַשְּׁקוּ־בַ֡ר פֶּן־יֶאֱנַ֤ף ׀ וְתֹ֬אבְדוּ דֶ֗רֶךְ כִּֽי־יִבְעַ֣ר כִּמְעַ֣ט אַפּ֑וֹ אַ֝שְׁרֵ֗י כָּל־ח֥וֹסֵי בֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 2:12 Küßt den Sohn, daß er nicht zürne und ihr umkommt auf dem Wege; denn sein Zorn wird bald entbrennen. Aber wohl allen, die auf ihn trauen!(dhs) Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little.
