Today's Date: ======= Psalm 34:1 ============ Psa 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.(nas) Psa 34:1 τῷ Δαυιδ ὁπότε ἠλλοίωσεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον Αβιμελεχ καὶ ἀπέλυσεν αὐτόν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν (lxx) Psa 34:1 [Vulgate 33:1] David quando commutavit os suum coram Abimelech et eiecit eum et abiit [Vulgate 33:2] benedicam Domino in omni tempore semper laus eius in ore meo(vulgate) 1 ׃34 לְדָוִ֗ד בְּשַׁנּוֹת֣וֹ אֶת־טַ֭עְמוֹ לִפְנֵ֣י אֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ וֽ͏ַ֝יְגָרֲשֵׁ֗הוּ וַיֵּלַֽךְ׃ 2 ׃34 אֲבָרֲכָ֣ה אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה בְּכָל־עֵ֑ת תָּ֝מִ֗יד תְּֽהִלָּת֥וֹ בְּפִֽי׃ Psalms Psa 34:1 (Ein Psa lm Davids, da er seine Gebärde verstellte vor Abimelech, als der ihn von sich trieb und er wegging.) Ich will den HERRN loben allezeit; sein Lob soll immerdar in meinem Munde sein.(dhs) Psa 34:1 A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:2 ============ Psa 34:2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice.(nas) Psa 34:2 εὐλογήσω τὸν κύριον ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ διὰ παντὸς ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ στόματί μου (lxx) Psa 34:2 [Vulgate 33:3] in Domino laetabitur anima mea audiant mites et laetentur(vulgate) 3 ׃34 בַּ֭יהוָה תִּתְהַלֵּ֣ל נַפְשִׁ֑י יִשְׁמְע֖וּ עֲנָוִ֣ים וְיִשְׂמָֽחוּ׃ Psalms Psa 34:2 Meine Seele soll sich rühmen des HERRN, daß es die Elenden hören und sich freuen.(dhs) Psa 34:2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:3 ============ Psa 34:3 O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.(nas) Psa 34:3 ἐν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπαινεσθήσεται ἡ ψυχή μου ἀκουσάτωσαν πραεῖς καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν (lxx) Psa 34:3 [Vulgate 33:4] magnificate Dominum mecum et exaltemus nomen eius pariter(vulgate) 4 ׃34 גַּדְּל֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה אִתִּ֑י וּנְרוֹמְמָ֖ה שְׁמ֣וֹ יַחְדָּֽו׃ Psalms Psa 34:3 Preiset mit mir den HERRN und laßt uns miteinander seinen Namen erhöhen.(dhs) Psa 34:3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:4 ============ Psa 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.(nas) Psa 34:4 μεγαλύνατε τὸν κύριον σὺν ἐμοί καὶ ὑψώσωμεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό (lxx) Psa 34:4 [Vulgate 33:5] quaesivi Dominum et exaudivit me et de omnibus angustiis meis liberavit me(vulgate) 5 ׃34 דָּרַ֣שְׁתִּי אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה וְעָנָ֑נִי וּמִכָּל־מְ֝גוּרוֹתַ֗י הִצִּילָֽנִי׃ Psalms Psa 34:4 Da ich den HERRN suchte, antwortete er mir und errettete mich aus aller meiner Furcht.(dhs) Psa 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:5 ============ Psa 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed.(nas) Psa 34:5 ἐξεζήτησα τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐπήκουσέν μου καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν παροικιῶν μου ἐρρύσατό με (lxx) Psa 34:5 [Vulgate 33:6] respicite ad eum et confluite et vultus vestri non confundentur(vulgate) 6 ׃34 הִבִּ֣יטוּ אֵלָ֣יו וְנָהָ֑רוּ וּ֝פְנֵיהֶ֗ם אַל־יֶחְפָּֽרוּ׃ Psalms Psa 34:5 Welche auf ihn sehen, die werden erquickt, und ihr Angesicht wird nicht zu Schanden.(dhs) Psa 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:6 ============ Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him And saved him out of all his troubles.(nas) Psa 34:6 προσέλθατε πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ φωτίσθητε καὶ τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν οὐ μὴ καταισχυνθῇ (lxx) Psa 34:6 [Vulgate 33:7] hic pauper clamavit et Dominus exaudivit de omnibus tribulationibus salvabit eum(vulgate) 7 ׃34 זֶ֤ה עָנִ֣י קָ֭רָא וַיהוָ֣ה שָׁמֵ֑עַ וּמִכָּל־צָ֝רוֹתָ֗יו הוֹשִׁיעֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 34:6 Da dieser Elende rief, hörte der HERR und half ihm aus allen seinen Nöten.(dhs) Psa 34:6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:7 ============ Psa 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.(nas) Psa 34:7 οὗτος ὁ πτωχὸς ἐκέκραξεν καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰσήκουσεν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν θλίψεων αὐτοῦ ἔσωσεν αὐτόν (lxx) Psa 34:7 [Vulgate 33:8] circumdat angelus Domini in gyro timentes eum et eruet eos(vulgate) 8 ׃34 חֹנֶ֤ה מַלְאַךְ־יְהוָ֓ה סָ֘בִ֤יב לִֽירֵאָ֗יו וַֽיְחַלְּצֵֽם׃ Psalms Psa 34:7 Der Engel des HERRN lagert sich um die her, so ihn fürchten, und hilft ihnen aus.(dhs) Psa 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:8 ============ Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!(nas) Psa 34:8 παρεμβαλεῖ ἄγγελος κυρίου κύκλῳ τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν καὶ ῥύσεται αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 34:8 [Vulgate 33:9] gustate et videte quoniam bonus Dominus beatus vir qui sperat in eo(vulgate) 9 ׃34 טַעֲמ֣וּ וּ֭רְאוּ כִּי־ט֣וֹב יְהוָ֑ה אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י הַ֝גֶּ֗בֶר יֶחֱסֶה־בּֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 34:8 Schmecket und sehet, wie freundlich der HERR ist. Wohl dem, der auf ihn traut!(dhs) Psa 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:9 ============ Psa 34:9 O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want.(nas) Psa 34:9 γεύσασθε καὶ ἴδετε ὅτι χρηστὸς ὁ κύριος μακάριος ἀνήρ ὃς ἐλπίζει ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν (lxx) Psa 34:9 [Vulgate 33:10] timete Dominum sancti eius quoniam non est inopia timentibus eum(vulgate) 10 ׃34 יְר֣אוּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה קְדֹשָׁ֑יו כִּי־אֵ֥ין מַ֝חְס֗וֹר לִירֵאָֽיו׃ Psalms Psa 34:9 Fürchtet den HERRN, ihr seine Heiligen! denn die ihn fürchten, haben keinen Mangel.(dhs) Psa 34:9 Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:10 ============ Psa 34:10 The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.(nas) Psa 34:10 φοβήθητε τὸν κύριον οἱ ἅγιοι αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὑστέρημα τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτόν (lxx) Psa 34:10 [Vulgate 33:11] leones indiguerunt et esurierunt quaerentibus autem Dominum non deerit omne bonum(vulgate) 11 ׃34 כְּ֭פִירִים רָשׁ֣וּ וְרָעֵ֑בוּ וְדֹרְשֵׁ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה לֹא־יַחְסְר֥וּ כָל־טֽוֹב׃ Psalms Psa 34:10 Reiche müssen darben und hungern; aber die den HERRN suchen, haben keinen Mangel an irgend einem Gut.(dhs) Psa 34:10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:11 ============ Psa 34:11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.(nas) Psa 34:11 πλούσιοι ἐπτώχευσαν καὶ ἐπείνασαν οἱ δὲ ἐκζητοῦντες τὸν κύριον οὐκ ἐλαττωθήσονται παντὸς ἀγαθοῦ διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 34:11 [Vulgate 33:12] venite filii audite me timorem Domini docebo vos(vulgate) 12 ׃34 לְֽכוּ־בָ֭נִים שִׁמְעוּ־לִ֑י יִֽרְאַ֥ת יְ֝הוָ֗ה אֲלַמֶּדְכֶֽם׃ Psalms Psa 34:11 Kommt her, Kinder, höret mir zu; ich will euch die Furcht des HERRN lehren:(dhs) Psa 34:11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:12 ============ Psa 34:12 Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good?(nas) Psa 34:12 δεῦτε τέκνα ἀκούσατέ μου φόβον κυρίου διδάξω ὑμᾶς (lxx) Psa 34:12 [Vulgate 33:13] quis est vir qui velit vitam diligens dies videre bonos(vulgate) 13 ׃34 מִֽי־הָ֭אִישׁ הֶחָפֵ֣ץ חַיִּ֑ים אֹהֵ֥ב יָ֝מִ֗ים לִרְא֥וֹת טֽוֹב׃ Psalms Psa 34:12 Wer ist, der Leben begehrt und gerne gute Tage hätte?(dhs) Psa 34:12 Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good?(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:13 ============ Psa 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.(nas) Psa 34:13 τίς ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος ὁ θέλων ζωὴν ἀγαπῶν ἡμέρας ἰδεῖν ἀγαθάς (lxx) Psa 34:13 [Vulgate 33:14] custodi linguam tuam a malo et labia tua ne loquantur dolum(vulgate) 14 ׃34 נְצֹ֣ר לְשׁוֹנְךָ֣ מֵרָ֑ע וּ֝שְׂפָתֶ֗יךָ מִדַּבֵּ֥ר מִרְמָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 34:13 Behüte deine Zunge vor Bösem und deine Lippen, daß sie nicht Trug reden.(dhs) Psa 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:14 ============ Psa 34:14 Depart from evil and do good; suche Frieden und jage ihm nach.(dhs) Psa 34:14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:15 ============ Psa 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry.(nas) Psa 34:15 ἔκκλινον ἀπὸ κακοῦ καὶ ποίησον ἀγαθόν ζήτησον εἰρήνην καὶ δίωξον αὐτήν (lxx) Psa 34:15 [Vulgate 33:16] oculi Domini ad iustos et aures eius ad clamorem eorum(vulgate) 16 ׃34 עֵינֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה אֶל־צַדִּיקִ֑ים וְ֝אָזְנָ֗יו אֶל־שַׁוְעָתָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 34:15 Die Augen des HERRN merken auf die Gerechten und seine Ohren auf ihr Schreien;(dhs) Psa 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:16 ============ Psa 34:16 The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.(nas) Psa 34:16 ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου ἐπὶ δικαίους καὶ ὦτα αὐτοῦ εἰς δέησιν αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 34:16 [Vulgate 33:17] vultus Domini super facientes malum ut perdat de terra memoriam eorum(vulgate) 17 ׃34 פְּנֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה בְּעֹ֣שֵׂי רָ֑ע לְהַכְרִ֖ית מֵאֶ֣רֶץ זִכְרָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 34:16 das Antlitz aber des HERRN steht gegen die, so Böses tun, daß er ihr Gedächtnis ausrotte von der Erde.(dhs) Psa 34:16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:17 ============ Psa 34:17 The righteous cry, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles.(nas) Psa 34:17 πρόσωπον δὲ κυρίου ἐπὶ ποιοῦντας κακὰ τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ἐκ γῆς τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 34:17 [Vulgate 33:18] clamaverunt et Dominus exaudivit et ex omnibus tribulationibus eorum liberavit eos(vulgate) 18 ׃34 צָעֲק֣וּ וַיהוָ֣ה שָׁמֵ֑עַ וּמִכָּל־צָ֝רוֹתָ֗ם הִצִּילָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 34:17 Wenn die Gerechten schreien, so hört der HERR und errettet sie aus all ihrer Not.(dhs) Psa 34:17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:18 ============ Psa 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.(nas) Psa 34:18 ἐκέκραξαν οἱ δίκαιοι καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰσήκουσεν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν θλίψεων αὐτῶν ἐρρύσατο αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 34:18 [Vulgate 33:19] iuxta est Dominus contritis corde et confractos spiritu salvabit(vulgate) 19 ׃34 קָר֣וֹב יְ֭הוָה לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי־לֵ֑ב וְֽאֶת־דַּכְּאֵי־ר֥וּחַ יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ Psalms Psa 34:18 Der HERR ist nahe bei denen, die zerbrochnes Herzens sind, und hilft denen, die ein zerschlagen Gemüt haben.(dhs) Psa 34:18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:19 ============ Psa 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.(nas) Psa 34:19 ἐγγὺς κύριος τοῖς συντετριμμένοις τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τοὺς ταπεινοὺς τῷ πνεύματι σώσει (lxx) Psa 34:19 [Vulgate 33:20] multae tribulationes iusti et ex omnibus illis liberabit eum Dominus(vulgate) 20 ׃34 רַ֭בּוֹת רָע֣וֹת צַדִּ֑יק וּ֝מִכֻּלָּ֗ם יַצִּילֶ֥נּוּ יְהוָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 34:19 Der Gerechte muß viel Leiden; aber der HERR hilft ihm aus dem allem.(dhs) Psa 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:20 ============ Psa 34:20 He keeps all his bones, Not one of them is broken.(nas) Psa 34:20 πολλαὶ αἱ θλίψεις τῶν δικαίων καὶ ἐκ πασῶν αὐτῶν ῥύσεται αὐτούς (lxx) Psa 34:20 [Vulgate 33:21] custodit omnia ossa eius unum ex eis non confringetur(vulgate) 21 ׃34 שֹׁמֵ֥ר כָּל־עַצְמוֹתָ֑יו אַחַ֥ת מֵ֝הֵ֗נָּה לֹ֣א נִשְׁבָּֽרָה׃ Psalms Psa 34:20 Er bewahrt ihm alle seine Gebeine, daß deren nicht eins zerbrochen wird.(dhs) Psa 34:20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:21 ============ Psa 34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous will be condemned.(nas) Psa 34:21 κύριος φυλάσσει πάντα τὰ ὀστᾶ αὐτῶν ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐ συντριβήσεται (lxx) Psa 34:21 [Vulgate 33:22] interficiet impium malitia et odientes iustum superabuntur(vulgate) 22 ׃34 תְּמוֹתֵ֣ת רָשָׁ֣ע רָעָ֑ה וְשֹׂנְאֵ֖י צַדִּ֣יק יֶאְשָֽׁמוּ׃ Psalms Psa 34:21 Den Gottlosen wird das Unglück töten; und die den Gerechten hassen, werden Schuld haben.(dhs) Psa 34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 34:22 ============ Psa 34:22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.(nas) Psa 34:22 λυτρώσεται κύριος ψυχὰς δούλων αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ πλημμελήσωσιν πάντες οἱ ἐλπίζοντες ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν (lxx) Psa 34:22 [Vulgate 33:23] redimet Dominus animam servorum suorum et non peccabunt omnes sperantes in eo(vulgate) 23 ׃34 פּוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה נֶ֣פֶשׁ עֲבָדָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יֶ֝אְשְׁמ֗וּ כָּֽל־הַחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃ Psalms Psa 34:22 Der HERR erlöst die Seele seiner Knechte;
