Praise the Lord, O my soul!(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:2 ============ Psa 146:2 I will praise the Lord while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.(nas) Psa 146:2 αἰνέσω κύριον ἐν ζωῇ μου ψαλῶ τῷ θεῷ μου ἕως ὑπάρχω (lxx) Psa 146:2 [Vulgate 145:2b] laudabo Dominum in vita mea cantabo Deo meo quamdiu sum(vulgate) 2 ׃146 אֲהַלְלָ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה בְּחַיָּ֑י אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵֽאלֹהַ֣י בְּעוֹדִֽי׃ Psalms Psa 146:2 Ich will den HERRN loben, solange ich lebe, und meinem Gott lobsingen, solange ich hier bin.(dhs) Psa 146:2 While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:3 ============ Psa 146:3 Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.(nas) Psa 146:3 μὴ πεποίθατε ἐπ᾽ ἄρχοντας καὶ ἐφ᾽ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν σωτηρία (lxx) Psa 146:3 [Vulgate 145:2c] nolite confidere in principibus [Vulgate 145:3] in filio hominis cui non est salus(vulgate) 3 ׃146 אַל־תִּבְטְח֥וּ בִנְדִיבִ֑ים בְּבֶן־אָדָ֓ם ׀ שֶׁ֤אֵֽין ל֥וֹ תְשׁוּעָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 146:3 Verlaßt euch nicht auf Fürsten; sie sind Menschen, die können ja nicht helfen.(dhs) Psa 146:3 Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:4 ============ Psa 146:4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.(nas) Psa 146:4 ἐξελεύσεται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἀπολοῦνται πάντες οἱ διαλογισμοὶ αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 146:4 [Vulgate 145:4] egredietur spiritus eius et revertetur in humum suam in die illa peribunt cogitationes eius(vulgate) 4 ׃146 תֵּצֵ֣א ר֭וּחוֹ יָשֻׁ֣ב לְאַדְמָת֑וֹ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַ֝ה֗וּא אָבְד֥וּ עֶשְׁתֹּנֹתָֽיו׃ Psalms Psa 146:4 Denn des Menschen Geist muß davon, und er muß wieder zu Erde werden; alsdann sind verloren alle seine Anschläge.(dhs) Psa 146:4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:5 ============ Psa 146:5 How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,(nas) Psa 146:5 μακάριος οὗ ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ βοηθός ἡ ἐλπὶς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ κύριον τὸν θεὸν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Psa 146:5 [Vulgate 145:5] beatus cuius Deus Iacob auxiliator eius spes eius in Domino Deo suo(vulgate) 5 ׃146 אַשְׁרֵ֗י שֶׁ֤אֵ֣ל יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּעֶזְר֑וֹ שִׂ֝בְר֗וֹ עַל־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ Psalms Psa 146:5 Wohl dem, des Hilfe der Gott Jakobs ist; des Hoffnung auf den HERRN, seinem Gott, steht;(dhs) Psa 146:5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:6 ============ Psa 146:6 Who made heaven and earth, The sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever;(nas) Psa 146:6 τὸν ποιήσαντα τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς τὸν φυλάσσοντα ἀλήθειαν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα (lxx) Psa 146:6 [Vulgate 145:6] qui fecit caelos et terram mare et omnia quae in eis sunt(vulgate) 6 ׃146 עֹשֶׂ֤ה ׀ שָׁ֘מַ֤יִם וָאָ֗רֶץ אֶת־הַיָּ֥ם וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑ם הַשֹּׁמֵ֖ר אֱמֶ֣ת לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 146:6 der Himmel, Erde, Meer und alles, was darinnen ist, gemacht hat; der Glauben hält ewiglich;(dhs) Psa 146:6 Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever,(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:7 ============ Psa 146:7 Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free.(nas) Psa 146:7 ποιοῦντα κρίμα τοῖς ἀδικουμένοις διδόντα τροφὴν τοῖς πεινῶσιν κύριος λύει πεπεδημένους (lxx) Psa 146:7 [Vulgate 145:7] et custodit veritatem in sempiternum qui facit iudicium calumniam sustinentibus et dat panem esurientibus Dominus solvit vinctos(vulgate) 7 ׃146 עֹשֶׂ֤ה מִשְׁפָּ֨ט ׀ לָעֲשׁוּקִ֗ים נֹתֵ֣ן לֶ֭חֶם לָרְעֵבִ֑ים יְ֝הוָ֗ה מַתִּ֥יר אֲסוּרִֽים׃ Psalms Psa 146:7 der Recht schafft denen, so Gewalt leiden; der die Hungrigen speist. Der HERR richtet auf, die niedergeschlagen sind. Der HERR liebt die Gerechten.(dhs) Psa 146:8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:9 ============ Psa 146:9 The Lord protects the strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, But He thwarts the way of the wicked.(nas) Psa 146:9 κύριος φυλάσσει τοὺς προσηλύτους ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν ἀναλήμψεται καὶ ὁδὸν ἁμαρτωλῶν ἀφανιεῖ (lxx) Psa 146:9 [Vulgate 145:9] Dominus custodit advenas pupillum et viduam suscipiet et viam impiorum conteret(vulgate) 9 ׃146 יְהוָ֤ה ׀ שֹׁ֘מֵ֤ר אֶת־גֵּרִ֗ים יָת֣וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה יְעוֹדֵ֑ד וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים יְעַוֵּֽת׃ Psalms Psa 146:9 Der HERR behütet die Fremdlinge und erhält die Waisen und Witwen und kehrt zurück den Weg der Gottlosen.(dhs) Psa 146:9 The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 146:10 ============ Psa 146:10 The Lord will reign forever, Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
