Creditis in Deum, et in me credite.(vulgate) אַל־יֵחַת לִבְּכֶם הַאֲמִינוּ בֵאלֹהִים וּכְמוֹ־כֵן הַאֲמִינוּ בִּי׃ א John Jn 14:1 Und er sprach zu seinen Jüngern: Euer Herz erschrecke nicht! Glaubet an Gott und glaubet an mich!(dhs) Jn 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.(nkjv) ======= John 14:2 ============ Jn 14:2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.(nas) Jn 14:2 ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ τοῦ πατρός μου μοναὶ πολλαί εἰσιν· εἰ δὲ μή, εἶπον ἂν ὑμῖν ὅτι πορεύομαι ἑτοιμάσαι τόπον ὑμῖν; (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:2 In domo Patris mei mansiones multæ sunt; si quominus dixissem vobis: quia vado parare vobis locum.(vulgate) מְעוֹנוֹת רַבּוֹת נִמְצָאוֹת בְּבֵית אָבִי כִּי לוּלֵא כֵן הָיִיתִי מַגִּיד לָכֶם וַאֲנִי הֹלֵךְ לְהָכִין לָכֶם מָקוֹם׃ ב John Jn 14:2 In meines Vaters Hause sind viele Wohnungen. Wenn es nicht so wäre, so wollte ich zu euch sagen: Ich gehe hin euch die Stätte zu bereiten.(dhs) Jn 14:2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.(nkjv) ======= John 14:3 ============ Jn 14:3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.(nas) Jn 14:3 καὶ ἐὰν πορευθῶ καὶ ἑτοιμάσω τόπον ὑμῖν, πάλιν ἔρχομαι καὶ παραλήμψομαι ὑμᾶς πρὸς ἐμαυτόν, ἵνα ὅπου εἰμὶ ἐγὼ καὶ ὑμεῖς ἦτε. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:3 Et si abiero, et præparavero vobis locum, iterum venio, et accipiam vos ad meipsum: ut ubi sum ego, et vos sitis.(vulgate) וְאַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר אֵלֵךְ וְאָכִין מָקוֹם לָכֶם שׁוֹב אָשׁוּב וְלָקַחְתִּי אֶתְכֶם אֵלָי לְמַעַן תִּהְיוּ עִמִּי שָׁם בַּאֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה׃ ג John Jn 14:3 Und wenn ich hingehe euch die Stätte zu bereiten, so will ich wiederkommen und euch zu mir nehmen, auf daß ihr seid, wo ich bin.(dhs) Jn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.(nkjv) ======= John 14:4 ============ Jn 14:4 And you know the way where I am going."(nas) Jn 14:4 καὶ ὅπου [ἐγὼ] ὑπάγω οἴδατε τὴν ὁδόν. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:4 Et quo ego vado scitis, et viam scitis.(vulgate) וְאַתֶּם יְדַעְתֶּם אָנָא אֲנִי הֹלֵךְ וְגַם אֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְ יְדַעְתֶּם׃ ד John Jn 14:4 Und wo ich hin gehe, das wißt ihr, und den Weg wißt ihr auch.(dhs) Jn 14:4 And where I go you know, and the way you know."(nkjv) ======= John 14:5 ============ Jn 14:5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"(nas) Jn 14:5 λέγει αὐτῶ θωμᾶς, κύριε, οὐκ οἴδαμεν ποῦ ὑπάγεις· πῶς δυνάμεθα τὴν ὁδὸν εἰδέναι; (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:5 Dicit ei Thomas: Domine, nescimus quo vadis: et quomodo possumus viam scire?(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו תּוֹמָא אֲדֹנִי לֹא יָדַעְנוּ אָנָה אַתָּה הֹלֵךְ וְאֵיכָה נֵדַע אֶת־הַדָּרֶךְ׃ ה John Jn 14:5 Spricht zu ihm Thomas: HERR, wir wissen nicht, wo du hin gehst; und wie können wir den Weg wissen?(dhs) Jn 14:5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"(nkjv) ======= John 14:6 ============ Jn 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.(nas) Jn 14:6 λέγει αὐτῶ [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια καὶ ἡ ζωή· οὐδεὶς ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸν πατέρα εἰ μὴ δι᾽ ἐμοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:6 Dicit ei Jesus: Ego sum via, et veritas, et vita. Nemo venit ad Patrem, nisi per me.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יֵשׁוּעַ אָנֹכִי הַדֶּרֶךְ וְהָאֱמֶת וְהַחַיִּים וְאִישׁ לֹא־יָבֹא אֶל־הָאָב בִּלְתִּי עַל־יָדִי׃ ו John Jn 14:6 Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich bin der Weg und die Wahrheit und das Leben; niemand kommt zum Vater denn durch mich.(dhs) Jn 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.(nkjv) ======= John 14:7 ============ Jn 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."(nas) Jn 14:7 εἰ ἐγνώκατέ με, καὶ τὸν πατέρα μου γνώσεσθε· καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἄρτι γινώσκετε αὐτὸν καὶ ἑωράκατε αὐτόν. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:7 Si cognovissetis me, et Patrem meum utique cognovissetis: et amodo cognoscetis eum, et vidistis eum.(vulgate) לוּ אֹתִי יְדַעְתֶּם יְדַעְתֶּם גַּם אֶת־אָבִי וּמֵעַתָּה יְדַעְתֶּם אֹתוֹ וְגַם־רְאִיתֶם אֹתוֹ׃ ז John Jn 14:7 Wenn ihr mich kenntet, so kenntet ihr auch meinen Vater. Und von nun an kennt ihr ihn und habt ihn gesehen.(dhs) Jn 14:7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."(nkjv) ======= John 14:8 ============ Jn 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."(nas) Jn 14:8 λέγει αὐτῶ φίλιππος, κύριε, δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα, καὶ ἀρκεῖ ἡμῖν. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:8 Dicit ei Philippus: Domine, ostende nobis Patrem, et sufficit nobis.(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו פִילִפּוֹס אֲדֹנִי הַרְאֵנוּ נָא אֶת־הָאָב וְרַב לָנוּ׃ ח John Jn 14:8 Spricht zu ihm Philippus: HERR, zeige uns den Vater, so genügt uns.(dhs) Jn 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."(nkjv) ======= John 14:9 ============ Jn 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?(nas) Jn 14:9 λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, τοσούτῳ χρόνῳ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰμι καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωκάς με, φίλιππε; ὁ ἑωρακὼς ἐμὲ ἑώρακεν τὸν πατέρα· πῶς σὺ λέγεις, δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα; (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:9 Dicit ei Jesus: Tanto tempore vobiscum sum, et non cognovistis me? Philippe, qui videt me, videt et Patrem. Quomodo tu dicis: Ostende nobis Patrem?(vulgate) וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יֵשׁוּעַ הֲלֹא יָמִים רַבִּים הָיִיתִי עִמָּכֶם הֲטֶרֶם תֵּדַע אֹתִי פִּילִפּוֹס הָרֹאֶה אֹתִי רֹאֶה אֶת־הָאָב וְלָמָּה־זֶּה תֹאמַר הַרְאֵנוּ אֶת־הָאָב׃ ט John Jn 14:9 Jesus spricht zu ihm: So lange bin ich bei euch, und du kennst mich nicht, Philippus? Wer mich sieht, der sieht den Vater; wie sprichst du denn: Zeige uns den Vater?(dhs) Jn 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?(nkjv) ======= John 14:10 ============ Jn 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.(nas) Jn 14:10 οὐ πιστεύεις ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῶ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί ἐστιν; τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἀπ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ λαλῶ· ὁ δὲ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοὶ μένων ποιεῖ τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:10 Non creditis quia ego in Patre, et Pater in me est? Verba quæ ego loquor vobis, a meipso non loquor. Pater autem in me manens, ipse fecit opera.(vulgate) הֲכִי לֹא תַאֲמִין כִּי אֲנִי בָאָב וְהָאָב בִּי הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי דֹבֵר אֲלֵיכֶם לֹא־מִלִּבִּי אֲנִי דֹבֵר כִּי הָאָב הַשֹּׁכֵן בִּי הוּא פֹעֵל בִּי פְּעֻלּוֹתָיו׃ י John Jn 14:10 Glaubst du nicht, daß ich im Vater bin und der Vater in mir? Die Worte, die ich zu euch rede, die rede ich nicht von mir selbst. Der Vater aber, der in mir wohnt, der tut die Werke.(dhs) Jn 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.(nkjv) ======= John 14:11 ============ Jn 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.(nas) Jn 14:11 πιστεύετέ μοι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῶ πατρὶ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν ἐμοί· εἰ δὲ μή, διὰ τὰ ἔργα αὐτὰ πιστεύετε. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:11 Non creditis quia ego in Patre, et Pater in me est?(vulgate) הַאֲמִינוּ לִי כִּי־אֲנִי בָאָב וְהָאָב בִּי וְאִם־לֹא הַאֲמִינוּ לִי בִּגְלַל הַפְּעֻלּוֹת הָאֵלֶּה׃ יא John Jn 14:11 Glaubet mir, daß ich im Vater und der Vater in mir ist; wo nicht, so glaubet mir doch um der Werke willen.(dhs) Jn 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.(nkjv) ======= John 14:12 ============ Jn 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.(nas) Jn 14:12 ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ πιστεύων εἰς ἐμὲ τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ κἀκεῖνος ποιήσει, καὶ μείζονα τούτων ποιήσει, ὅτι ἐγὼ πρὸς τὸν πατέρα πορεύομαι· (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:12 alioquin propter opera ipsa credite. Amen, amen dico vobis, qui credit in me, opera quæ ego facio, et ipse faciet, et majora horum faciet: quia ego ad Patrem vado.(vulgate) אָמֵן אָמֵן אֲנִי אֹמֵר לָכֶם הַמַּאֲמִין בִּי אֶת־הַמַּעֲשִׂים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה יַעֲשֶׂה גַם־הוּא וּגְדֹלוֹת מֵאֵלֶּה יַעֲשֶׂה כִּי אֶל־אָבִי אָנֹכִי הֹלֵךְ׃ יב John Jn 14:12 Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Wer an mich glaubt, der wird die Werke auch tun, die ich tue, und wird größere als diese tun; denn ich gehe zum Vater.(dhs) Jn 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.(nkjv) ======= John 14:13 ============ Jn 14:13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.(nas) Jn 14:13 καὶ ὅ τι ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῶ ὀνόματί μου τοῦτο ποιήσω, ἵνα δοξασθῇ ὁ πατὴρ ἐν τῶ υἱῶ· (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:13 Et quodcumque petieritis Patrem in nomine meo, hoc faciam: ut glorificetur Pater in Filio.(vulgate) וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁאֲלוּ בִשְׁמִי אֹתוֹ אֶעֱשֶׂה לְבַעֲבוּר יִגְדַּל כְּבוֹד הָאָב בִּבְנוֹ׃ יג John Jn 14:13 Und was ihr bitten werdet in meinem Namen, das will ich tun, auf daß der Vater geehrt werde in dem Sohne.(dhs) Jn 14:13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.(nkjv) ======= John 14:14 ============ Jn 14:14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.(nas) Jn 14:14 ἐάν τι αἰτήσητέ με ἐν τῶ ὀνόματί μου ἐγὼ ποιήσω. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:14 Si quid petieritis me in nomine meo, hoc faciam.~(vulgate) כָּל־דָּבָר אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁאֲלוּ בִשְׁמִי אֲנִי אֶעֱשֶׂנּוּ׃ יד John Jn 14:14 Was ihr bitten werdet in meinem Namen, das will ich tun.(dhs) Jn 14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.(nkjv) ======= John 14:15 ============ Jn 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.(nas) Jn 14:15 ἐὰν ἀγαπᾶτέ με, τὰς ἐντολὰς τὰς ἐμὰς τηρήσετε· (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:15 Si diligitis me, mandata mea servate:(vulgate) אִם־אֲהַבְתֶּם אֹתִי אֶת־מְִֹצתַי תִּשְׁמֹרוּ׃ טו John Jn 14:15 Liebet ihr mich, so haltet ihr meine Gebote.(dhs) Jn 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.(nkjv) ======= John 14:16 ============ Jn 14:16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;(nas) Jn 14:16 κἀγὼ ἐρωτήσω τὸν πατέρα καὶ ἄλλον παράκλητον δώσει ὑμῖν ἵνα μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ᾖ, (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:16 et ego rogabo Patrem, et alium Paraclitum dabit vobis, ut maneat vobiscum in æternum,(vulgate) וַאֲנִי אֲחַלֶּה פְנֵי הָאָב וְיִתֵּן לָכֶם מֵלִיץ אַחֵר אֲשֶׁר־יִשְׁכֹּן אִתְּכֶם עֲדֵי־עַד׃ טז John Jn 14:16 Und ich will den Vater bitten, und er soll euch einen andern Tröster geben, daß er bei euch bleibe ewiglich:(dhs) Jn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--(nkjv) ======= John 14:17 ============ Jn 14:17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.(nas) Jn 14:17 τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς ἀληθείας, ὃ ὁ κόσμος οὐ δύναται λαβεῖν, ὅτι οὐ θεωρεῖ αὐτὸ οὐδὲ γινώσκει· ὑμεῖς γινώσκετε αὐτό, ὅτι παρ᾽ ὑμῖν μένει καὶ ἐν ὑμῖν ἔσται. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:17 Spiritum veritatis, quem mundus non potest accipere, quia non videt eum, nec scit eum: vos autem cognoscetis eum, quia apud vos manebit, et in vobis erit.(vulgate) הֲלֹא הוּא רוּחַ הָאֱמֶת אֲשֶׁר הָעוֹלָם לֹא־יָכֹל לְקַבְּלוֹ בַּאֲשֶׁר לֹא יִרְאֶנּוּ וְלֹא יֵדָעֶנּוּ וְאַתֶּם יְדַעְתֶּם אֹתוֹ כִּי הוּא שֹׁכֵן אִתְּכֶם וְאַף־הָיֹה יִהְיֶה בְּתוֹכְכֶם׃ יז John Jn 14:17 den Geist der Wahrheit, welchen die Welt nicht kann empfangen; denn sie sieht ihn nicht und kennt ihn nicht. Ihr aber kennet ihn; denn er bleibt bei euch und wird in euch sein.(dhs) Jn 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.(nkjv) ======= John 14:18 ============ Jn 14:18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.(nas) Jn 14:18 οὐκ ἀφήσω ὑμᾶς ὀρφανούς, ἔρχομαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:18 Non relinquam vos orphanos: veniam ad vos.(vulgate) וַאֲנִי לֹא אֶעֱזָבְכֶם יְתוֹמִים כִּי בֹא אָבֹא אֲלֵיכֶם׃ יח John Jn 14:18 Ich will euch nicht Waisen lassen; ich komme zu euch.(dhs) Jn 14:18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.(nkjv) ======= John 14:19 ============ Jn 14:19 After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.(nas) Jn 14:19 ἔτι μικρὸν καὶ ὁ κόσμος με οὐκέτι θεωρεῖ, ὑμεῖς δὲ θεωρεῖτέ με, ὅτι ἐγὼ ζῶ καὶ ὑμεῖς ζήσετε. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:19 Adhuc modicum, et mundus me jam non videt. Vos autem videtis me: quia ego vivo, et vos vivetis.(vulgate) עוֹד מְעַט מִזְעָר וְהָעוֹלָם לֹא יוֹסִיף לִרְאוֹת אֹתִי וְאַתֶּם תִּרְאֻנִי כִּי־אֲנִי חַי וְכֵן גַּם־אַתֶּם תִּחְיוּן׃ יט John Jn 14:19 Es ist noch um ein kleines, so wird mich die Welt nicht mehr sehen; ihr aber sollt mich sehen; denn ich lebe, und ihr sollt auch leben.(dhs) Jn 14:19 "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.(nkjv) ======= John 14:20 ============ Jn 14:20 In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.(nas) Jn 14:20 ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ γνώσεσθε ὑμεῖς ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐν τῶ πατρί μου καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐν ἐμοὶ κἀγὼ ἐν ὑμῖν. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:20 In illo die vos cognoscetis quia ego sum in Patre meo, et vos in me, et ego in vobis.(vulgate) בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא תֵּדְעוּ כִּי־אֲנִי בְאָבִי וְאַתֶּם בִּי וַאֲנִי בָכֶם׃ כ John Jn 14:20 An dem Tage werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich in meinem Vater bin und ihr in mir und ich in euch.(dhs) Jn 14:20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.(nkjv) ======= John 14:21 ============ Jn 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him."(nas) Jn 14:21 ὁ ἔχων τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τηρῶν αὐτὰς ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ὁ ἀγαπῶν με· ὁ δὲ ἀγαπῶν με ἀγαπηθήσεται ὑπὸ τοῦ πατρός μου, κἀγὼ ἀγαπήσω αὐτὸν καὶ ἐμφανίσω αὐτῶ ἐμαυτόν. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:21 Qui habet mandata mea, et servat ea: ille est qui diligit me. Qui autem diligit me, diligetur a Patre meo: et ego diligam eum, et manifestabo ei meipsum.(vulgate) מִי אֲשֶׁר מִצְוֹתַי אִתּוֹ וְשֹׁמֵר לַעֲשׂוֹתָן זֶה הוּא אֲשֶׁר יֶאֱהָבַנִי וְאֹהֲבִי אָהוּב לְאָבִי וַאֲנִי אֹהֲבֵהוּ וְאֵלָיו אֶתְוַדָּע׃ כא John Jn 14:21 Wer meine Gebote hat und hält sie, der ist es, der mich liebt. Wer mich aber liebt, der wird von meinem Vater geliebt werden, und ich werde ihn lieben und mich ihm offenbaren.(dhs) Jn 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. (Nestle-Aland) Jn 14:31 Sed ut cognoscat mundus quia diligo Patrem, et sicut mandatum dedit mihi Pater, sic facio. Surgite, eamus hinc.(vulgate) רַק לְבַעֲבוּר יֵדַע הָעוֹלָם כִּי אֲנִי אֹהֵב אֶת־הָאָב וְעֹשֶׂה אֲנִי כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוַּנִי הָאָב לְכוּ וְנֵלְכָה מִזֶּה׃ לא John Jn 14:31 Aber auf daß die Welt erkenne, daß ich den Vater liebe und ich also tue, wie mir der Vater geboten hat: stehet auf und lasset uns von hinnen gehen.(dhs) Jn 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do.
