A sound of the uproar of kingdoms, Of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts is mustering the army for battle. (nas) Isa 13:19 καὶ ἔσται Βαβυλών ἣ καλεῖται ἔνδοξος ὑπὸ βασιλέως Χαλδαίων ὃν τρόπον κατέστρεψεν ὁ θεὸς Σοδομα καὶ Γομορρα (lxx) Isa 13:19 Et erit Babylon illa gloriosa in regnis, inclyta superbia Chaldæorum, sicut subvertit Dominus Sodomam et Gomorrham.(vulgate) Isaiah 13:19 And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.(Geneva) Isa 13:19 Also soll Babel, das schönste unter den Königreichen, die herrliche Pracht der Chaldäer, umgekehrt werden vor Gott wie Sodom und Gomorra,(dhs) Isa 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, The beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 13:20 ============ Isa 13:20 It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his tent there, Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there. Her fateful time also will soon come And her days will not be prolonged.
