(nasb) ======= Matthew 2:5 ============ Mat 2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,(KJV) Matthew 2:5 And they saide vnto him, At Beth-leem in Iudea: for so it is written by the Prophet,(Geneva) Matthieu 2:5 Ils lui dirent: A Bethléhem en Judée; car voici ce qui a été écrit par le prophète:(FR) וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלָיו בְּבֵית־לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה כִּי כֹה־כָּתוּב בְּיַד־הַנָּבִיא׃ ה Matthew Mat 2:5 They said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet: (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:6 ============ Mat 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.(KJV) Matthew 2:6 And thou Beth-leem in the lande of Iuda, art not the least among the Princes of Iuda: For out of thee shall come the gouernour that shall feede that my people Israel.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:6 Et toi, Bethléhem, terre de Juda, Tu n'es certes pas la moindre entre les principales villes de Juda, Car de toi sortira un chef Qui paîtra Israël, mon peuple.(FR) וְאַתָּה בֵּית־לֶחֶם אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה אֵינְךָ צָעִיר בְּאַלֻּפֵי יְהוּדָה כִּי מִמְּךָ יֵצֵא מוֹשֵׁל אֲשֶׁר יִרְעֶה אֶת־עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ ו Matthew Mat 2:6 'And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, Are by no means least among the leaders of Judah; For out of you shall come forth a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.'"(nasb) ======= Matthew 2:7 ============ Mat 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.(KJV) Matthew 2:7 Then Herod priuily called the Wisemen, and diligently inquired of them the time of the starre that appeared,(Geneva) Matthieu 2:7 Alors Hérode fit appeler en secret les mages, et s'enquit soigneusement auprès d'eux depuis combien de temps l'étoile brillait.(FR) וַיִּקְרָא הוֹרְדוֹס אֶל־חֹזֵי הַכּוֹכָבִים בַּסֵּתֶר וַיַּחְקֹר אֹתָם לָדַעַת אֶת־הָעֵת אֲשֶׁר נִרְאָה הַכּוֹכָב׃ ז Matthew Mat 2:7 Then Herod secretly called the magi and determined from them the exact time the star appeared. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:8 ============ Mat 2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.(KJV) Matthew 2:8 And sent them to Beth-leem, saying, Goe, and searche diligently for the babe: and when ye haue founde him, bring mee worde againe, that I may come also, and worship him.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:8 Puis il les envoya à Bethléhem, en disant: Allez, et prenez des informations exactes sur le petit enfant; quand vous l'aurez trouvé, faites-le-moi savoir, afin que j'aille aussi moi-même l'adorer.(FR) וַיִּשְׁלַח אֹתָם בֵּית־לֶחֶם וַיֹּאמַר לְכוּ וְדִרְשׁוּ הֵיטֵב עַל־הַיֶּלֶד וְכַאֲשֶׁר תִּמְצְאוּן אֹתוֹ שׁוּבוּ וְהַגִּידוּ לִי וְאָבֹאָה לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹת־לוֹ גַּם־אָנִי׃ ח Matthew Mat 2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him."(nasb) ======= Matthew 2:9 ============ Mat 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.(KJV) Matthew 2:9 So when they had heard the King, they departed: and loe, the starre which they had seene in the East, went before them, till it came and stoode ouer the place where the babe was.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:9 Après avoir entendu le roi, ils partirent. Et voici, l'étoile qu'ils avaient vue en Orient marchait devant eux jusqu'à ce qu'étant arrivée au-dessus du lieu où était le petit enfant, elle s'arrêta.(FR) וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיֵּלֵכוּ וְהִנֵּה הַכּוֹכָב אֲשֶׁר־רָאוּ בַקֶּדֶם עָלָה לִפְנֵיהֶם עַד אֲשֶׁר־בָּא וַיַּעֲמֹד מִמַּעַל לַאֲשֶׁר הָיָה שָׁם הַיָּלֶד׃ ט Matthew Mat 2:9 After hearing the king, they went their way; and the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them until it came and stood over the place where the Child was. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:10 ============ Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.(KJV) Matthew 2:10 And when they sawe the starre, they reioyced with an exceeding great ioy,(Geneva) Matthieu 2:10 Quand ils aperçurent l'étoile, ils furent saisis d'une très grande joie.(FR) וְהֵם חָזוּ בַכּוֹכָב וַיִּשְׂמְחוּ שִׂמְחָה גְדֹלָה עַד־מְאֹד׃ י Matthew Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:12 ============ Mat 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.(KJV) Matthew 2:12 And after they were warned of God in a dreame, that they should not go againe to Herod, ther returned into their countrey another way.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:12 Puis, divinement avertis en songe de ne pas retourner vers Hérode, ils regagnèrent leur pays par un autre chemin.(FR) וְהֵם צֻוּוּ בַחֲלוֹם לְבִלְתִּי שׁוּב אֶל־הוֹרְדוּס וַיִּפְנוּ וַיֵּלְכוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ אַחֵר לְאַרְצָם׃ יב Matthew Mat 2:12 And having been warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:13 ============ Mat 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.(KJV) Matthew 2:13 After their departture, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeareth to Ioseph in a dreame, saying, Arise, and take the babe & his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there til I bring thee word: for Herod will seeke the babe, to destroy him.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:13 Lorsqu'ils furent partis, voici, un ange du Seigneur apparut en songe à Joseph, et dit: Lève-toi, prends le petit enfant et sa mère, fuis en Egypte, et restes-y jusqu'à ce que je te parle; car Hérode cherchera le petit enfant pour le faire périr.(FR) וַיְהִי בְּלֶכְתָּם וַיֵּרָא מַלְאַךְ יְהוָֹה אֶל־יוֹסֵף בַּחֲלוֹם לֵאמֹר קוּם קַח אֶת־הַיֶּלֶד וְאֶת־אִמּוֹ וּבְרַח־לְךָ מִצְרַיְמָה וְשֶׁב־שָׁם עַד־אֲשֶׁר אֹמַר אֵלֶיךָ כִּי הוֹרְדוֹס מְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת־נֶפֶשׁ הַיֶּלֶד לְקַחְתָּהּ׃ יג Matthew Mat 2:13 Now when they had gone, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him."(nasb) ======= Matthew 2:14 ============ Mat 2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:(KJV) Matthew 2:14 So he arose and tooke the babe and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt,(Geneva) Matthieu 2:14 Joseph se leva, prit de nuit le petit enfant et sa mère, et se retira en Egypte.(FR) וַיָּקָם וַיִּקַּח אֶת־הַיֶּלֶד וְאֶת־אִמּוֹ לָיְלָה וַיֵּלֶךְ מִצְרָיְמָה׃ יד Matthew Mat 2:14 So Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and left for Egypt. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:15 ============ Mat 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.(KJV) Matthew 2:15 And was there vnto the death of Herod, that that might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by the Prophet, saying, Out of Egypt haue I called my sonne.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:15 Il y resta jusqu'à la mort d'Hérode, afin que s'accomplît ce que le Seigneur avait annoncé par le prophète: J'ai appelé mon fils hors d'Egypte.(FR) וַיֵּשֶׁב שָׁם עַד־מוֹת הוֹרְדוֹס לְמַלֹּאת אֶת אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָֹה בְּיַד־הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר מִמִּצְרַיִם קָרָאתִי לִבְנִי׃ טו Matthew Mat 2:15 He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet." Out of Egypt I called My Son." (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:16 ============ Mat 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.(KJV) Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, seeing that he was mocked of the Wisemen, was exceeding wroth, and sent foorth, and slew all the male children that were in Beth-leem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two yeere old and vnder, according to the time which he had diligently searched out of the Wisemen.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:16 Alors Hérode, voyant qu'il avait été joué par les mages, se mit dans une grande colère, et il envoya tuer tous les enfants de deux ans et au-dessous qui étaient à Bethléhem et dans tout son territoire, selon la date dont il s'était soigneusement enquis auprès des mages.(FR) וַיְהִי כִּרְאוֹת הוֹרְדוֹס כִּי הֵתֵלוּ בוֹ הַחֹזִים וַיִּקְצֹף עַד־מְאֹד וַיִּשְׁלַח וַיַּךְ אֶת־כָּל־הַיְלָדִים אֲשֶׁר בְּבֵית־לֶחֶם וּבְכָל־גְּבוּלֶיהָ מִבֶּן־שְׁנָתַיִם וּלְמָטָּה לְפִי הָעֵת אֲשֶׁר חָקַר מִפִּי הַחֹזִים׃ טז Matthew Mat 2:16 Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi. (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:22 ============ Mat 2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:(KJV) Matthew 2:22 But whe he heard that Archelaus did reigne in Iudea in stead of his father Herod, he was afraide to go thither: yet after he was warned of God in a dreame, he turned aside into the parts of Galile,(Geneva) Matthieu 2:22 Mais, ayant appris qu'Archélaüs régnait sur la Judée à la place d'Hérode, son père, il craignit de s'y rendre; et, divinement averti en songe, il se retira dans le territoire de la Galilée,(FR) וּבְשָׁמְעוֹ כִּי אַרְקְלוֹס מָלַךְ בִּיהוּדָה תַּחַת הוֹרְדוֹס אָבִיו וַיִּירָא לָלֶכֶת שָׁמָּה וַיֻּגַּד־לוֹ דָבָר בַּחֲלוֹם וַיִּסֹּב אֶל־גְּלִילוֹת הַגָּלִיל׃ כב Matthew Mat 2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Then after being warned by God in a dream, he left for the regions of Galilee, (nasb) ======= Matthew 2:23 ============ Mat 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.(kjv) Matthew 2:23 And went and dwelt in a citie called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Prophets, which was, That hee should be called a Nazarite.(Geneva) Matthieu 2:23 et vint demeurer dans une ville appelée Nazareth, afin que s'accomplît ce qui avait été annoncé par les prophètes: Il sera appelé Nazaréen.(FR) וַיָּבֹא וַיֵּשֶׁב בָּעִיר הַנִּקְרֵאת נְצָרֶת לְמַלֹּאת אֶת־דִּבְרֵי הַנְּבִיאִים כִּי נָצְרִי יִקָּרֵא לוֹ׃ כג Matthew Mat 2:23 and came and lived in a city called Nazareth. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets. "He shall be called a Nazarene."
