Today's Date: Job 11:20 But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And they shall not escape, And their hope--loss of life!"(nkjv) ======= Job 12:1 ============ Job 12:1 Then Job responded,(nasb) Job 12:1 Respondens autem Job, dixit:(vulgate) Job 12:1 Y respondió Job, y dijo:(E) Job 12:1 Job prit la parole et dit:(F) Job 12:1 Da antwortete Hiob und sprach:(D) Job 12:1 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ιωβ λέγει(lxx) Job 12:1 Then Job answered and said:(nkjv) ======= Job 12:2 ============ Job 12:2 "Truly then you are the people, And with you wisdom will die!(nasb) Job 12:2 [Ergo vos estis soli homines, et vobiscum morietur sapientia?(vulgate) Job 12:2 Ciertamente vosotros [sois] el pueblo; y con vosotros morirá la sabiduría.(E) Job 12:2 On dirait, en vérité, que le genre humain c'est vous, Et qu'avec vous doit mourir la sagesse.(F) Job 12:2 Ja, ihr seid die Leute, mit euch wird die Weisheit sterben!(D) Job 12:2 εἶτα ὑμεῖς ἐστε ἄνθρωποι ἦ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν τελευτήσει σοφία(lxx) Job 12:2 "No doubt you are the people, And wisdom will die with you!(nkjv) ======= Job 12:3 ============ Job 12:3 "But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these?(nasb) Job 12:3 Et mihi est cor sicut et vobis, nec inferior vestri sum; quis enim hæc quæ nostis ignorat?(vulgate) Job 12:3 También tengo yo entendimiento como vosotros; no [soy] yo menos que vosotros: ¿Y quién habrá que no pueda decir otro tanto?(E) Job 12:3 J'ai tout aussi bien que vous de l'intelligence, moi, Je ne vous suis point inférieur; Et qui ne sait les choses que vous dites?(F) Job 12:3 Ich habe so wohl ein Herz als ihr und bin nicht geringer denn ihr; und wer ist, der solches nicht wisse?(D) Job 12:3 κἀμοὶ μὲν καρδία καθ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἐστιν(lxx) Job 12:3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Indeed, who does not know such things as these?(nkjv) ======= Job 12:4 ============ Job 12:4 "I am a joke to my friends, The one who called on God and He answered him; The just and blameless man is a joke.(nasb) Job 12:4 Qui deridetur ab amico suo, sicut ego, invocabit Deum, et exaudiet eum: deridetur enim justi simplicitas.(vulgate) Job 12:4 Yo soy uno de quien su amigo se mofa, que invoca a Dios, y Él le responde; con todo, el justo y perfecto [es] escarnecido.(E) Job 12:4 Je suis pour mes amis un objet de raillerie, Quand j'implore le secours de Dieu; Le juste, l'innocent, un objet de raillerie!(F) Job 12:4 Ich muß von meinem Nächsten verlacht sein, der ich Gott anrief, und er erhörte mich. Der Gerechte und Fromme muß verlacht sein(D) Job 12:4 δίκαιος γὰρ ἀνὴρ καὶ ἄμεμπτος ἐγενήθη εἰς χλεύασμα(lxx) Job 12:4 "I am one mocked by his friends, Who called on God, and He answered him, The just and blameless who is ridiculed.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:5 ============ Job 12:5 "He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt, As prepared for those whose feet slip.(nasb) Job 12:5 Lampas contempta apud cogitationes divitum parata ad tempus statutum.(vulgate) Job 12:5 Aquel [cuyos] pies van a resbalar, [es como] una lámpara despreciada de aquel que está a sus anchas.(E) Job 12:5 Au malheur le mépris! c'est la devise des heureux; A celui dont le pied chancelle est réservé le mépris.(F) Job 12:5 und ist ein verachtet Lichtlein vor den Gedanken der Stolzen, steht aber, daß sie sich daran ärgern.(D) Job 12:5 εἰς χρόνον γὰρ τακτὸν ἡτοίμαστο πεσεῖν ὑπὸ ἄλλους οἴκους τε αὐτοῦ ἐκπορθεῖσθαι ὑπὸ ἀνόμων(lxx) Job 12:5 A lamp is despised in the thought of one who is at ease; It is made ready for those whose feet slip.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:6 ============ Job 12:6 "The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power.(nasb) Job 12:6 Abundant tabernacula prædonum, et audacter provocant Deum, cum ipse dederit omnia in manus eorum.(vulgate) Job 12:6 Prosperan las tiendas de los ladrones, y los que provocan a Dios viven seguros; en cuyas manos Él ha puesto cuanto tienen.(E) Job 12:6 Il y a paix sous la tente des pillards, Sécurité pour ceux qui offensent Dieu, Pour quiconque se fait un dieu de sa force.(F) Job 12:6 Der Verstörer Hütten haben die Fülle, und Ruhe haben, die wider Gott toben, die ihren Gott in der Faust führen.(D) Job 12:6 οὐ μὴν δὲ ἀλλὰ μηδεὶς πεποιθέτω πονηρὸς ὢν ἀθῷος ἔσεσθαι ὅσοι παροργίζουσιν τὸν κύριον ὡς οὐχὶ καὶ ἔτασις αὐτῶν ἔσται(lxx) Job 12:6 The tents of robbers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure-- In what God provides by His hand.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:7 ============ Job 12:7 "But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you; And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.(nasb) Job 12:7 Nimirum interroga jumenta, et docebunt te; et volatilia cæli, et indicabunt tibi.(vulgate) Job 12:7 Y en efecto, pregunta ahora a las bestias, y ellas te enseñarán; y a las aves de los cielos, y ellas te lo mostrarán;(E) Job 12:7 Interroge les bêtes, elles t'instruiront, Les oiseaux du ciel, ils te l'apprendront;(F) Job 12:7 Frage doch das Vieh, das wird dich's lehren und die Vögel unter dem Himmel, die werden dir's sagen;(D) Job 12:7 ἀλλὰ δὴ ἐπερώτησον τετράποδα ἐάν σοι εἴπωσιν πετεινὰ δὲ οὐρανοῦ ἐάν σοι ἀπαγγείλωσιν(lxx) Job 12:7 "But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you;(nkjv) ======= Job 12:8 ============ Job 12:8 "Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you; And let the fish of the sea declare to you.(nasb) Job 12:8 Loquere terræ, et respondebit tibi, et narrabunt pisces maris.(vulgate) Job 12:8 o habla a la tierra, y ella te enseñará; los peces del mar también te [lo] declararán.(E) Job 12:8 Parle à la terre, elle t'instruira; Et les poissons de la mer te le raconteront.(F) Job 12:8 oder rede mit der Erde, die wird dich's lehren, und die Fische im Meer werden dir's erzählen.(D) Job 12:8 ἐκδιήγησαι δὲ γῇ ἐάν σοι φράσῃ καὶ ἐξηγήσονταί σοι οἱ ἰχθύες τῆς θαλάσσης(lxx) Job 12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:9 ============ Job 12:9 "Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this,(nasb) Job 12:9 Quis ignorat quod omnia hæc manus Domini fecerit?(vulgate) Job 12:9 ¿Qué cosa de todas éstas no entiende que la mano de Jehová la hizo?(E) Job 12:9 Qui ne reconnaît chez eux la preuve Que la main de l'Eternel a fait toutes choses?(F) Job 12:9 Wer erkennte nicht an dem allem, daß des HERRN Hand solches gemacht hat?(D) Job 12:9 τίς οὐκ ἔγνω ἐν πᾶσι τούτοις ὅτι χεὶρ κυρίου ἐποίησεν ταῦτα(lxx) Job 12:9 Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this,(nkjv) ======= Job 12:10 ============ Job 12:10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?(nasb) Job 12:10 In cujus manu anima omnis viventis, et spiritus universæ carnis hominis.(vulgate) Job 12:10 En su mano [está] el alma de todo viviente, y el hálito de todo ser humano.(E) Job 12:10 Il tient dans sa main l'âme de tout ce qui vit, Le souffle de toute chair d'homme.(F) Job 12:10 daß in seiner Hand ist die Seele alles dessen, was da lebt, und der Geist des Fleisches aller Menschen?(D) Job 12:10 εἰ μὴ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ψυχὴ πάντων τῶν ζώντων καὶ πνεῦμα παντὸς ἀνθρώπου(lxx) Job 12:10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?(nkjv) ======= Job 12:11 ============ Job 12:11 "Does not the ear test words, As the palate tastes its food?(nasb) Job 12:11 Nonne auris verba dijudicat? und der Mund schmeckt die Speise?(D) Job 12:11 οὖς μὲν γὰρ ῥήματα διακρίνει λάρυγξ δὲ σῖτα γεύεται(lxx) Job 12:11 Does not the ear test words And the mouth taste its food?(nkjv) ======= Job 12:12 ============ Job 12:12 "Wisdom is with aged men, With long life is understanding.(nasb) Job 12:12 In antiquis est sapientia, et in multo tempore prudentia.(vulgate) Job 12:12 En los ancianos [está] la sabiduría, y en la largura de días la inteligencia.(E) Job 12:12 Dans les vieillards se trouve la sagesse, Et dans une longue vie l'intelligence.(F) Job 12:12 Ja, "bei den Großvätern ist die Weisheit, und der Verstand bei den Alten".(D) Job 12:12 ἐν πολλῷ χρόνῳ σοφία ἐν δὲ πολλῷ βίῳ ἐπιστήμη(lxx) Job 12:12 Wisdom is with aged men, And with length of days, understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:13 ============ Job 12:13 "With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding.(nasb) Job 12:13 Apud ipsum est sapientia et fortitudo; ipse habet consilium et intelligentiam.(vulgate) Job 12:13 Con Dios [está] la sabiduría y la fortaleza; suyo es el consejo y la inteligencia.(E) Job 12:13 En Dieu résident la sagesse et la puissance. Le conseil et l'intelligence lui appartiennent.(F) Job 12:13 Bei ihm ist Weisheit und Gewalt, Rat und Verstand.(D) Job 12:13 παρ᾽ αὐτῷ σοφία καὶ δύναμις αὐτῷ βουλὴ καὶ σύνεσις(lxx) Job 12:13 "With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:14 ============ Job 12:14 "Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be rebuilt; He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.(nasb) Job 12:14 Si destruxerit, nemo est qui ædificet; si incluserit hominem, nullus est qui aperiat.(vulgate) Job 12:14 He aquí, Él derriba, y no será reedificado; Encierra al hombre, y no habrá quien le abra.(E) Job 12:14 Ce qu'il renverse ne sera point rebâti, Celui qu'il enferme ne sera point délivré.(F) Job 12:14 Siehe, wenn er zerbricht, so hilft kein Bauen; wenn er jemand einschließt, kann niemand aufmachen.(D) Job 12:14 ἐὰν καταβάλῃ τίς οἰκοδομήσει ἐὰν κλείσῃ κατὰ ἀνθρώπων τίς ἀνοίξει(lxx) Job 12:14 If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt; If He imprisons a man, there can be no release.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:15 ============ Job 12:15 "Behold, He restrains the waters, and they dry up; And He sends them out, and they inundate the earth.(nasb) Job 12:15 Si continuerit aquas, omnia siccabuntur; et si emiserit eas, subvertent terram.(vulgate) Job 12:15 He aquí, Él detiene las aguas, y [todo] se seca; Las envía, y destruyen la tierra.(E) Job 12:15 Il retient les eaux et tout se dessèche; Il les lâche, et la terre en est dévastée.(F) Job 12:15 Siehe, wenn er das Wasser verschließt, so wird alles dürr; und wenn er's ausläßt, so kehrt es das Land um.(D) Job 12:15 ἐὰν κωλύσῃ τὸ ὥδωρ ξηρανεῖ τὴν γῆν ἐὰν δὲ ἐπαφῇ ἀπώλεσεν αὐτὴν καταστρέψας(lxx) Job 12:15 If He withholds the waters, they dry up; If He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:16 ============ Job 12:16 "With Him are strength and sound wisdom, The misled and the misleader belong to Him.(nasb) Job 12:16 Apud ipsum est fortitudo et sapientia; ipse novit et decipientem, et eum qui decipitur.(vulgate) Job 12:16 Con Él [está] la fortaleza y la sabiduría; Suyo [es] el que yerra, y el que hace errar.(E) Job 12:16 Il possède la force et la prudence; Il maîtrise celui qui s'égare ou fait égarer les autres.(F) Job 12:16 Er ist stark und führt es aus. Er breitet ein Volk aus und treibt es wieder weg.(D) Job 12:23 πλανῶν ἔθνη καὶ ἀπολλύων αὐτά καταστρωννύων ἔθνη καὶ καθοδηγῶν αὐτά(lxx) Job 12:23 He makes nations great, and destroys them; He enlarges nations, and guides them.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:24 ============ Job 12:24 "He deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth's people And makes them wander in a pathless waste.(nasb) Job 12:24 Qui immutat cor principum populi terræ, et decipit eos ut frustra incedant per invium:(vulgate) Job 12:24 Él quita el entendimiento de los jefes del pueblo de la tierra, y les hace vagar por desierto [donde] no [hay] camino:(E) Job 12:24 Il enlève l'intelligence aux chefs des peuples, Il les fait errer dans les déserts sans chemin;(F) Job 12:24 Er nimmt weg den Mut der Obersten des Volkes im Lande und macht sie irre auf einem Umwege, da kein Weg ist,(D) Job 12:24 διαλλάσσων καρδίας ἀρχόντων γῆς ἐπλάνησεν δὲ αὐτοὺς ὁδῷ ᾗ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν(lxx) Job 12:24 He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, And makes them wander in a pathless wilderness.(nkjv) ======= Job 12:25 ============ Job 12:25 "They grope in darkness with no light, And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.(nasb) Job 12:25 palpabunt quasi in tenebris, et non in luce, et errare eos faciet quasi ebrios.](vulgate) Job 12:25 Van a tientas, como en tinieblas y sin luz, y los hace errar como borrachos.(E) Job 12:25 Ils tâtonnent dans les ténèbres, et ne voient pas clair; Il les fait errer comme des gens ivres.(F) Job 12:25 daß sie in Finsternis tappen ohne Licht; und macht sie irre wie die Trunkenen.(D) Job 12:25 ψηλαφήσαισαν σκότος καὶ μὴ φῶς πλανηθείησαν δὲ ὥσπερ ὁ μεθύων(lxx) Job 12:25 They grope in the dark without light, And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.(nkjv) ======= Job 13:1 ============ top of the page
