Do you observe the calving of the deer?(nas) Job 39:1 εἰ ἔγνως καιρὸν τοκετοῦ τραγελάφων πέτρας ἐφύλαξας δὲ ὠδῖνας ἐλάφων (lxx) Job 39:1 [Numquid nosti tempus partus ibicum in petris, vel parturientes cervas observasti?(vulgate) 1 ׃39 הֲיָדַ֗עְתָּ עֵ֭ת לֶ֣דֶת יַעֲלֵי־סָ֑לַע חֹלֵ֖ל אַיָּל֣וֹת תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃ Job Job 39:1 Weißt du die Zeit, wann die Gemsen auf den Felsen gebären? oder hast du gemerkt, wann die Hinden schwanger gehen?(dhs) Job 39:1 "Do you know the time when the wild mountain goats bear young? Or can you mark when the deer gives birth?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:2 ============ Job 39:2 "Can you count the months they fulfill, Or do you know the time they give birth?(nas) Job 39:2 ἠρίθμησας δὲ αὐτῶν μῆνας πλήρεις τοκετοῦ ὠδῖνας δὲ αὐτῶν ἔλυσας (lxx) Job 39:2 Dinumerasti menses conceptus earum, et scisti tempus partus earum?(vulgate) 2 ׃39 תִּסְפֹּ֣ר יְרָחִ֣ים תְּמַלֶּ֑אנָה וְ֝יָדַעְתָּ֗ עֵ֣ת לִדְתָּֽנָה׃ Job Job 39:2 Hast du gezählt ihre Monden, wann sie voll werden? oder weißt du die Zeit, wann sie gebären?(dhs) Job 39:2 Can you number the months that they fulfill? Or do you know the time when they bear young?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:3 ============ Job 39:3 "They kneel down, they bring forth their young, They get rid of their labor pains.(nas) Job 39:3 ἐξέθρεψας δὲ αὐτῶν τὰ παιδία ἔξω φόβου ὠδῖνας αὐτῶν ἐξαποστελεῖς (lxx) Job 39:3 Incurvantur ad fœtum, et pariunt, et rugitus emittunt.(vulgate) 3 ׃39 תִּ֭כְרַעְנָה יַלְדֵיהֶ֣ן תְּפַלַּ֑חְנָה חֶבְלֵיהֶ֥ם תְּשַׁלַּֽחְנָה׃ Job Job 39:3 Sie beugen sich, lassen los ihre Jungen und werden los ihre Wehen.(dhs) Job 39:3 They bow down, They bring forth their young, They deliver their offspring.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:4 ============ Job 39:4 "Their offspring become strong, they grow up in the open field; They leave and do not return to them.(nas) Job 39:4 ἀπορρήξουσιν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν πληθυνθήσονται ἐν γενήματι ἐξελεύσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀνακάμψουσιν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Job 39:4 Separantur filii earum, et pergunt ad pastum: egrediuntur, et non revertuntur ad eas.(vulgate) 4 ׃39 יַחְלְמ֣וּ בְ֭נֵיהֶם יִרְבּ֣וּ בַבָּ֑ר יָ֝צְא֗וּ וְלֹא־שָׁ֥בוּ לָֽמוֹ׃ Job Job 39:4 Ihre Jungen werden feist und groß im Freien und gehen aus und kommen nicht wieder zu ihnen.(dhs) Job 39:4 Their young ones are healthy, They grow strong with grain; They depart and do not return to them.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:5 ============ Job 39:5 "Who sent out the wild donkey free? And who loosed the bonds of the swift donkey,(nas) Job 39:5 τίς δέ ἐστιν ὁ ἀφεὶς ὄνον ἄγριον ἐλεύθερον δεσμοὺς δὲ αὐτοῦ τίς ἔλυσεν (lxx) Job 39:5 Quis dimisit onagrum liberum, et vincula ejus quis solvit?(vulgate) 5 ׃39 מִֽי־שִׁלַּ֣ח פֶּ֣רֶא חָפְשִׁ֑י וּמֹסְר֥וֹת עָ֝ר֗וֹד מִ֣י פִתֵּֽחַ׃ Job Job 39:5 Wer hat den Wildesel so frei lassen gehen, wer hat die Bande des Flüchtigen gelöst,(dhs) Job 39:5 "Who set the wild donkey free? Who loosed the bonds of the onager,(nkjv) ======= Job 39:6 ============ Job 39:6 To whom I gave the wilderness for a home And the salt land for his dwelling place?(nas) Job 39:6 ἐθέμην δὲ τὴν δίαιταν αὐτοῦ ἔρημον καὶ τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτοῦ ἁλμυρίδα (lxx) Job 39:6 cui dedi in solitudine domum, et tabernacula ejus in terra salsuginis.(vulgate) 6 ׃39 אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי עֲרָבָ֣ה בֵית֑וֹ וּֽמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָ֥יו מְלֵֽחָה׃ Job Job 39:6 dem ich die Einöde zum Hause gegeben habe und die Wüste zur Wohnung?(dhs) Job 39:6 Whose home I have made the wilderness, And the barren land his dwelling?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:7 ============ Job 39:7 "He scorns the tumult of the city, The shoutings of the driver he does not hear.(nas) Job 39:7 καταγελῶν πολυοχλίας πόλεως μέμψιν δὲ φορολόγου οὐκ ἀκούων (lxx) Job 39:7 Contemnit multitudinem civitatis: clamorem exactoris non audit.(vulgate) 7 ׃39 יִ֭שְׂחַק לַהֲמ֣וֹן קִרְיָ֑ה תְּשֻׁא֥וֹת נ֝וֹגֵ֗שׂ לֹ֣א יִשְׁמָֽע׃ Job Job 39:7 Er verlacht das Getümmel der Stadt; das Pochen des Treibers hört er nicht.(dhs) Job 39:7 He scorns the tumult of the city; He does not heed the shouts of the driver.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:8 ============ Job 39:8 "He explores the mountains for his pasture And searches after every green thing.(nas) Job 39:8 κατασκέψεται ὄρη νομὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ὀπίσω παντὸς χλωροῦ ζητεῖ (lxx) Job 39:8 Circumspicit montes pascuæ suæ, et virentia quæque perquirit.(vulgate) 8 ׃39 יְת֣וּר הָרִ֣ים מִרְעֵ֑הוּ וְאַחַ֖ר כָּל־יָר֣וֹק יִדְרֽוֹשׁ׃ Job Job 39:8 Er schaut nach den Bergen, da seine Weide ist, und sucht, wo es grün ist.(dhs) Job 39:8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, And he searches after every green thing.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:9 ============ Job 39:9 "Will the wild ox consent to serve you, Or will he spend the night at your manger?(nas) Job 39:9 βουλήσεται δέ σοι μονόκερως δουλεῦσαι ἢ κοιμηθῆναι ἐπὶ φάτνης σου (lxx) Job 39:9 Numquid volet rhinoceros servire tibi, aut morabitur ad præsepe tuum?(vulgate) 9 ׃39 הֲיֹ֣אבֶה רֵּ֣ים עָבְדֶ֑ךָ אִם־יָ֝לִ֗ין עַל־אֲבוּסֶֽךָ׃ Job Job 39:9 Meinst du das Einhorn werde dir dienen und werde bleiben an deiner Krippe?(dhs) Job 39:9 "Will the wild ox be willing to serve you? Will he bed by your manger?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:10 ============ Job 39:10 "Can you bind the wild ox in a furrow with ropes, Or will he harrow the valleys after you?(nas) Job 39:10 δήσεις δὲ ἐν ἱμᾶσι ζυγὸν αὐτοῦ ἢ ἑλκύσει σου αὔλακας ἐν πεδίῳ (lxx) Job 39:10 Numquid alligabis rhinocerota ad arandum loro tuo, aut confringet glebas vallium post te?(vulgate) 10 ׃39 הֲֽתִקְשָׁר־רֵ֭ים בְּתֶ֣לֶם עֲבֹת֑וֹ אִם־יְשַׂדֵּ֖ד עֲמָקִ֣ים אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃ Job Job 39:10 Kannst du ihm dein Seil anknüpfen, die Furchen zu machen, daß es hinter dir brache in Tälern?(dhs) Job 39:10 Can you bind the wild ox in the furrow with ropes? Or will he plow the valleys behind you?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:11 ============ Job 39:11 "Will you trust him because his strength is great And leave your labor to him?(nas) Job 39:11 πέποιθας δὲ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ὅτι πολλὴ ἡ ἰσχὺς αὐτοῦ ἐπαφήσεις δὲ αὐτῷ τὰ ἔργα σου (lxx) Job 39:11 Numquid fiduciam habebis in magna fortitudine ejus, et derelinques ei labores tuos?(vulgate) 11 ׃39 הֲֽתִבְטַח־בּ֭וֹ כִּי־רַ֣ב כֹּח֑וֹ וְתַעֲזֹ֖ב אֵלָ֣יו יְגִיעֶֽךָ׃ Job Job 39:11 Magst du dich auf das Tier verlassen, daß es so stark ist, und wirst es dir lassen arbeiten?(dhs) Job 39:11 Will you trust him because his strength is great? Or will you leave your labor to him?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:12 ============ Job 39:12 "Will you have faith in him that he will return your grain And gather it from your threshing floor?(nas) Job 39:12 πιστεύσεις δὲ ὅτι ἀποδώσει σοι τὸν σπόρον εἰσοίσει δέ σου τὸν ἅλωνα (lxx) Job 39:12 Numquid credes illi quod sementem reddat tibi, et aream tuam congreget?(vulgate) 12 ׃39 הֲתַאֲמִ֣ין בּ֭וֹ כִּי־*ישוב **יָשִׁ֣יב זַרְעֶ֑ךָ וְֽגָרְנְךָ֥ יֶאֱסֹֽף׃ Job Job 39:12 Magst du ihm trauen, daß es deinen Samen dir wiederbringe und in deine Scheune sammle?(dhs) Job 39:12 Will you trust him to bring home your grain, And gather it to your threshing floor?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:13 ============ Job 39:13 "The ostriches' wings flap joyously With the pinion and plumage of love,(nas) Job 39:13 πτέρυξ τερπομένων νεελασα ἐὰν συλλάβῃ ασιδα καὶ νεσσα (lxx) Job 39:13 Penna struthionis similis est pennis herodii et accipitris.(vulgate) 13 ׃39 כְּנַף־רְנָנִ֥ים נֶעֱלָ֑סָה אִם־אֶ֝בְרָ֗ה חֲסִידָ֥ה וְנֹצָֽה׃ Job Job 39:13 Der Fittich des Straußes hebt sich fröhlich. Dem frommen Storch gleicht er an Flügeln und Federn.(dhs) Job 39:13 "The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork's?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:14 ============ Job 39:14 For she abandons her eggs to the earth And warms them in the dust,(nas) Job 39:14 ὅτι ἀφήσει εἰς γῆν τὰ ᾠὰ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ χοῦν θάλψει (lxx) Job 39:14 Quando derelinquit ova sua in terra, tu forsitan in pulvere calefacies ea?(vulgate) 14 ׃39 כִּֽי־תַעֲזֹ֣ב לָאָ֣רֶץ בֵּצֶ֑יהָ וְֽעַל־עָפָ֥ר תְּחַמֵּֽם׃ Job Job 39:14 Doch läßt er seine Eier auf der Erde und läßt sie die heiße Erde ausbrüten.(dhs) Job 39:14 For she leaves her eggs on the ground, And warms them in the dust;(nkjv) ======= Job 39:15 ============ Job 39:15 And she forgets that a foot may crush them, Or that a wild beast may trample them.(nas) Job 39:15 καὶ ἐπελάθετο ὅτι ποὺς σκορπιεῖ καὶ θηρία ἀγροῦ καταπατήσει (lxx) Job 39:15 Obliviscitur quod pes conculcet ea, aut bestia agri conterat.(vulgate) 15 ׃39 וַ֭תִּשְׁכַּח כִּי־רֶ֣גֶל תְּזוּרֶ֑הָ וְחַיַּ֖ת הַשָּׂדֶ֣ה תְּדוּשֶֽׁהָ׃ Job Job 39:15 Er vergißt, daß sie möchten zertreten werden und ein wildes Tier sie zerbreche.(dhs) Job 39:15 She forgets that a foot may crush them, Or that a wild beast may break them.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:16 ============ Job 39:16 "She treats her young cruelly, as if they were not hers; Though her labor be in vain, she is unconcerned;(nas) Job 39:16 ἀπεσκλήρυνεν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς ὥστε μὴ ἑαυτῇ εἰς κενὸν ἐκοπίασεν ἄνευ φόβου (lxx) Job 39:16 Duratur ad filios suos, quasi non sint sui: frustra laboravit, nullo timore cogente.(vulgate) 16 ׃39 הִקְשִׁ֣יחַ בָּנֶ֣יהָ לְּלֹא־לָ֑הּ לְרִ֖יק יְגִיעָ֣הּ בְּלִי־פָֽחַד׃ Job Job 39:16 Er wird so hart gegen seine Jungen, als wären sie nicht sein, achtet's nicht, daß er umsonst arbeitet.(dhs) Job 39:16 She treats her young harshly, as though they were not hers; Her labor is in vain, without concern,(nkjv) ======= Job 39:17 ============ Job 39:17 Because God has made her forget wisdom, And has not given her a share of understanding.(nas) Job 39:17 ὅτι κατεσιώπησεν αὐτῇ ὁ θεὸς σοφίαν καὶ οὐκ ἐμέρισεν αὐτῇ ἐν τῇ συνέσει (lxx) Job 39:17 Privavit enim eam Deus sapientia, nec dedit illi intelligentiam.(vulgate) 17 ׃39 כִּֽי־הִשָּׁ֣הּ אֱל֣וֹהַּ חָכְמָ֑ה וְלֹא־חָ֥לַק לָ֝֗הּ בַּבִּינָֽה׃ Job Job 39:17 Denn Gott hat ihm die Weisheit genommen und hat ihm keinen Verstand zugeteilt.(dhs) Job 39:17 Because God deprived her of wisdom, And did not endow her with understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:18 ============ Job 39:18 "When she lifts herself on high, She laughs at the horse and his rider.(nas) Job 39:18 κατὰ καιρὸν ἐν ὕψει ὑψώσει καταγελάσεται ἵππου καὶ τοῦ ἐπιβάτου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 39:18 Cum tempus fuerit, in altum alas erigit: deridet equum et ascensorem ejus.(vulgate) 18 ׃39 כָּ֭עֵת בַּמָּר֣וֹם תַּמְרִ֑יא תִּֽשְׂחַ֥ק לַ֝סּ֗וּס וּלְרֹֽכְבֽוֹ׃ Job Job 39:18 Zu der Zeit, da er hoch auffährt, verlacht er beide, Roß und Mann.(dhs) Job 39:18 When she lifts herself on high, She scorns the horse and its rider.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:19 ============ Job 39:19 "Do you give the horse his might? Do you clothe his neck with a mane?(nas) Job 39:19 ἦ σὺ περιέθηκας ἵππῳ δύναμιν ἐνέδυσας δὲ τραχήλῳ αὐτοῦ φόβον (lxx) Job 39:19 Numquid præbebis equo fortitudinem, aut circumdabis collo ejus hinnitum?(vulgate) 19 ׃39 הֲתִתֵּ֣ן לַסּ֣וּס גְּבוּרָ֑ה הֲתַלְבִּ֖ישׁ צַוָּאר֣וֹ רַעְמָֽה׃ Job Job 39:19 Kannst du dem Roß Kräfte geben oder seinen Hals zieren mit seiner Mähne?(dhs) Job 39:19 "Have you given the horse strength? Have you clothed his neck with thunder?(nkjv) ======= Job 39:20 ============ Job 39:20 "Do you make him leap like the locust? His majestic snorting is terrible.(nas) Job 39:20 περιέθηκας δὲ αὐτῷ πανοπλίαν δόξαν δὲ στηθέων αὐτοῦ τόλμῃ (lxx) Job 39:20 Numquid suscitabis eum quasi locustas? gloria narium ejus terror.(vulgate) 20 ׃39 הְֽ֭תַרְעִישֶׁנּוּ כָּאַרְבֶּ֑ה ה֖וֹד נַחְר֣וֹ אֵימָֽה׃ Job Job 39:20 Läßt du es aufspringen wie die Heuschrecken? Schrecklich ist sein prächtiges Schnauben.(dhs) Job 39:20 Can you frighten him like a locust? His majestic snorting strikes terror.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:21 ============ Job 39:21 "He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He goes out to meet the weapons.(nas) Job 39:21 ἀνορύσσων ἐν πεδίῳ γαυριᾷ ἐκπορεύεται δὲ εἰς πεδίον ἐν ἰσχύι (lxx) Job 39:21 Terram ungula fodit; exultat audacter: in occursum pergit armatis.(vulgate) 21 ׃39 יַחְפְּר֣וּ בָ֭עֵמֶק וְיָשִׂ֣ישׂ בְּכֹ֑חַ יֵ֝צֵ֗א לִקְרַאת־נָֽשֶׁק׃ Job Job 39:21 Es stampft auf den Boden und ist freudig mit Kraft und zieht aus, den Geharnischten entgegen.(dhs) Job 39:21 He paws in the valley, and rejoices in his strength; He gallops into the clash of arms.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:22 ============ Job 39:22 "He laughs at fear and is not dismayed; And he does not turn back from the sword.(nas) Job 39:22 συναντῶν βέλει καταγελᾷ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀποστραφῇ ἀπὸ σιδήρου (lxx) Job 39:22 Contemnit pavorem, nec cedit gladio.(vulgate) 22 ׃39 יִשְׂחַ֣ק לְ֭פַחַד וְלֹ֣א יֵחָ֑ת וְלֹֽא־יָ֝שׁ֗וּב מִפְּנֵי־חָֽרֶב׃ Job Job 39:22 Es spottet der Furcht und erschrickt nicht und flieht vor dem Schwert nicht,(dhs) Job 39:22 He mocks at fear, and is not frightened; Nor does he turn back from the sword.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:23 ============ Job 39:23 "The quiver rattles against him, The flashing spear and javelin.(nas) Job 39:23 ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ γαυριᾷ τόξον καὶ μάχαιρα (lxx) Job 39:23 Super ipsum sonabit pharetra; vibrabit hasta et clypeus:(vulgate) 23 ׃39 עָ֭לָיו תִּרְנֶ֣ה אַשְׁפָּ֑ה לַ֖הַב חֲנִ֣ית וְכִידֽוֹן׃ Job Job 39:23 wenngleich über ihm klingt der Köcher und glänzen beide, Spieß und Lanze.(dhs) Job 39:23 The quiver rattles against him, The glittering spear and javelin.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:24 ============ Job 39:24 "With shaking and rage he races over the ground, And he does not stand still at the voice of the trumpet.(nas) Job 39:24 καὶ ὀργῇ ἀφανιεῖ τὴν γῆν καὶ οὐ μὴ πιστεύσῃ ἕως ἂν σημάνῃ σάλπιγξ (lxx) Job 39:24 fervens et fremens sorbet terram, nec reputat tubæ sonare clangorem.(vulgate) 24 ׃39 בְּרַ֣עַשׁ וְ֭רֹגֶז יְגַמֶּא־אָ֑רֶץ וְלֹֽא־יַ֝אֲמִ֗ין כִּי־ק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃ Job Job 39:24 Es zittert und tobt und scharrt in die Erde und läßt sich nicht halten bei der Drommete Hall.(dhs) Job 39:24 He devours the distance with fierceness and rage; Nor does he come to a halt because the trumpet has sounded.(nkjv) ======= Job 39:25 ============ Job 39:25 "As often as the trumpet sounds he says, 'Aha!' And he scents the battle from afar, And the thunder of the captains and the war cry.(nas) Job 39:25 σάλπιγγος δὲ σημαινούσης λέγει εὖγε πόρρωθεν δὲ ὀσφραίνεται πολέμου σὺν ἅλματι καὶ κραυγῇ (lxx) Job 39:25 Ubi audierit buccinam, dicit: Vah! procul odoratur bellum: exhortationem ducum, et ululatum exercitus.(vulgate) 25 ׃39 בְּדֵ֤י שֹׁפָ֨ר ׀ יֹ֘אמַ֤ר הֶאָ֗ח וּֽ֭מֵרָחוֹק יָרִ֣יחַ מִלְחָמָ֑ה רַ֥עַם שָׂ֝רִים וּתְרוּעָֽה׃ Job Job 39:25 So oft die Drommete klingt, spricht es: Hui! und wittert den Streit von ferne, das Schreien der Fürsten und Jauchzen.(dhs) Job 39:25 At the blast of the trumpet he says, 'Aha!'
