"(nas) Psa 90:3 μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς ἄνθρωπον εἰς ταπείνωσιν καὶ εἶπας ἐπιστρέψατε υἱοὶ ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Psa 90:3 [Vulgate 89:3] convertes hominem usque ad contritionem et dices revertimini filii Adam(vulgate) 3 ׃90 תָּשֵׁ֣ב אֱ֭נוֹשׁ עַד־דַּכָּ֑א וַ֝תֹּ֗אמֶר שׁ֣וּבוּ בְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 90:3 der du die Menschen lässest sterben und sprichst: Kommt wieder, Menschenkinder!(dhs) Psa 90:3 You turn man to destruction, And say, "Return, O children of men."(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:4 ============ Psa 90:4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.(nas) Psa 90:4 ὅτι χίλια ἔτη ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα ἡ ἐχθές ἥτις διῆλθεν καὶ φυλακὴ ἐν νυκτί (lxx) Psa 90:4 [Vulgate 89:4] quia mille anni in oculis tuis sicut dies hesterna quae pertransiit et vigilia nocturna(vulgate) 4 ׃90 כִּ֤י אֶ֪לֶף שָׁנִ֡ים בְּֽעֵינֶ֗יךָ כְּי֣וֹם אֶ֭תְמוֹל כִּ֣י יַעֲבֹ֑ר וְאַשְׁמוּרָ֥ה בַלָּֽיְלָה׃ Psalms Psa 90:4 Denn tausend Jahre sind vor dir wie der Tag, der gestern vergangen ist, und wie eine Nachtwache.(dhs) Psa 90:4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:5 ============ Psa 90:5 You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep; In the morning they are like grass which sprouts anew.(nas) Psa 90:5 τὰ ἐξουδενώματα αὐτῶν ἔτη ἔσονται τὸ πρωὶ ὡσεὶ χλόη παρέλθοι (lxx) Psa 90:5 [Vulgate 89:5] percutiente te eos somnium erunt(vulgate) 5 ׃90 זְ֭רַמְתָּם שֵׁנָ֣ה יִהְי֑וּ בַּ֝בֹּ֗קֶר כֶּחָצִ֥יר יַחֲלֹֽף׃ Psalms Psa 90:5 Du lässest sie dahinfahren wie einen Strom; sie sind wie ein Schlaf, gleichwie ein Gras, das doch bald welk wird,(dhs) Psa 90:5 You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up:(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:6 ============ Psa 90:6 In the morning it flourishes and sprouts anew; Toward evening it fades and withers away.(nas) Psa 90:6 τὸ πρωὶ ἀνθήσαι καὶ παρέλθοι τὸ ἑσπέρας ἀποπέσοι σκληρυνθείη καὶ ξηρανθείη (lxx) Psa 90:6 [Vulgate 89:6] mane quasi herba pertransiens mane floruit et abiit ad vesperam conteretur atque siccabitur(vulgate) 6 ׃90 בַּ֭בֹּקֶר יָצִ֣יץ וְחָלָ֑ף לָ֝עֶ֗רֶב יְמוֹלֵ֥ל וְיָבֵֽשׁ׃ Psalms Psa 90:6 das da frühe blüht und bald welk wird und des Abends abgehauen wird und verdorrt.(dhs) Psa 90:6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:7 ============ Psa 90:7 For we have been consumed by Your anger And by Your wrath we have been dismayed.(nas) Psa 90:7 ὅτι ἐξελίπομεν ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ σου καὶ ἐν τῷ θυμῷ σου ἐταράχθημεν (lxx) Psa 90:7 [Vulgate 89:7] consumpti enim sumus in furore tuo et in indignatione tua conturbati sumus(vulgate) 7 ׃90 כִּֽי־כָלִ֥ינוּ בְאַפֶּ֑ךָ וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ׃ Psalms Psa 90:7 Das macht dein Zorn, daß wir so vergehen, und dein Grimm, daß wir so plötzlich dahinmüssen.(dhs) Psa 90:7 For we have been consumed by Your anger, And by Your wrath we are terrified.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:8 ============ Psa 90:8 You have placed our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your presence.(nas) Psa 90:8 ἔθου τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν ἐνώπιόν σου ὁ αἰὼν ἡμῶν εἰς φωτισμὸν τοῦ προσώπου σου (lxx) Psa 90:8 [Vulgate 89:8] posuisti iniquitates nostras coram te neglegentias nostras in luce vultus tui(vulgate) 8 ׃90 *שת **שַׁתָּ֣ה עֲוֺנֹתֵ֣ינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ עֲ֝לֻמֵ֗נוּ לִמְא֥וֹר פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ Psalms Psa 90:8 Denn unsere Missetaten stellst du vor dich, unsre unerkannte Sünde ins Licht vor deinem Angesicht.(dhs) Psa 90:8 You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:9 ============ Psa 90:9 For all our days have declined in Your fury; We have finished our years like a sigh.(nas) Psa 90:9 ὅτι πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι ἡμῶν ἐξέλιπον καὶ ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ σου ἐξελίπομεν τὰ ἔτη ἡμῶν ὡς ἀράχνην ἐμελέτων (lxx) Psa 90:9 [Vulgate 89:9] omnes enim dies nostri transierunt in furore tuo consumpsimus annos nostros quasi sermonem loquens(vulgate) 9 ׃90 כִּ֣י כָל־יָ֭מֵינוּ פָּנ֣וּ בְעֶבְרָתֶ֑ךָ כִּלִּ֖ינוּ שָׁנֵ֣ינוּ כְמוֹ־הֶֽגֶה׃ Psalms Psa 90:9 Darum fahren alle unsere Tage dahin durch deinen Zorn; wir bringen unsre Jahre zu wie ein Geschwätz.(dhs) Psa 90:9 For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:10 ============ Psa 90:10 As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; For soon it is gone and we fly away.(nas) Psa 90:10 αἱ ἡμέραι τῶν ἐτῶν ἡμῶν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη ἐὰν δὲ ἐν δυναστείαις ὀγδοήκοντα ἔτη καὶ τὸ πλεῖον αὐτῶν κόπος καὶ πόνος ὅτι ἐπῆλθεν πραΰτης ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς καὶ παιδευθησόμεθα (lxx) Psa 90:10 [Vulgate 89:10] dies annorum nostrorum in ipsis septuaginta anni si autem multum octoginta anni et quod amplius est labor et dolor quoniam transivimus cito et avolavimus(vulgate) 10 ׃90 יְמֵֽי־שְׁנוֹתֵ֨ינוּ בָהֶ֥ם שִׁבְעִ֪ים שָׁנָ֡ה וְאִ֤ם בִּגְבוּרֹ֨ת ׀ שְׁמ֘וֹנִ֤ים שָׁנָ֗ה וְ֭רָהְבָּם עָמָ֣ל וָאָ֑וֶן כִּי־גָ֥ז חִ֝֗ישׁ וַנָּעֻֽפָה׃ Psalms Psa 90:10 Unser Leben währet siebzig Jahre, und wenn's hoch kommt, so sind's achtzig Jahre, und wenn's köstlich gewesen ist, so ist es Mühe und Arbeit gewesen; denn es fährt schnell dahin, als flögen wir davon.(dhs) Psa 90:10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:11 ============ Psa 90:11 Who understands the power of Your anger And Your fury, according to the fear that is due You?(nas) Psa 90:11 τίς γινώσκει τὸ κράτος τῆς ὀργῆς σου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου σου τὸν θυμόν σου (lxx) Psa 90:11 [Vulgate 89:11] quis novit fortitudinem irae tuae et secundum timorem tuum indignationem tuam(vulgate) 11 ׃90 מִֽי־י֭וֹדֵעַ עֹ֣ז אַפֶּ֑ךָ וּ֝כְיִרְאָתְךָ֗ עֶבְרָתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 90:11 Wer glaubt aber, daß du so sehr zürnest, und wer fürchtet sich vor solchem deinem Grimm?(dhs) Psa 90:11 Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:12 ============ Psa 90:12 So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.(nas) Psa 90:12 ἐξαριθμήσασθαι τὴν δεξιάν σου οὕτως γνώρισον καὶ τοὺς πεπεδημένους τῇ καρδίᾳ ἐν σοφίᾳ (lxx) Psa 90:12 [Vulgate 89:12] ut numerentur dies nostri sic ostende et veniemus corde sapienti(vulgate) 12 ׃90 לִמְנ֣וֹת יָ֭מֵינוּ כֵּ֣ן הוֹדַ֑ע וְ֝נָבִ֗א לְבַ֣ב חָכְמָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 90:12 Lehre uns bedenken, daß wir sterben müssen, auf daß wir klug werden.(dhs) Psa 90:12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:13 ============ Psa 90:13 Do return, O Lord; how long will it be? And be sorry for Your servants.(nas) Psa 90:13 ἐπίστρεψον κύριε ἕως πότε καὶ παρακλήθητι ἐπὶ τοῖς δούλοις σου (lxx) Psa 90:13 [Vulgate 89:13] revertere Domine usquequo et exorabilis esto super servis tuis(vulgate) 13 ׃90 שׁוּבָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה עַד־מָתָ֑י וְ֝הִנָּחֵ֗ם עַל־עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃ Psalms Psa 90:13 HERR, kehre doch wieder zu uns und sei deinen Knechten gnädig!(dhs) Psa 90:13 Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:14 ============ Psa 90:14 O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.(nas) Psa 90:14 ἐνεπλήσθημεν τὸ πρωὶ τοῦ ἐλέους σου καὶ ἠγαλλιασάμεθα καὶ εὐφράνθημεν ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἡμέραις ἡμῶν (lxx) Psa 90:14 [Vulgate 89:14] imple nos matutina misericordia tua et laudabimus et laetabimur in cunctis diebus nostris(vulgate) 14 ׃90 שַׂבְּעֵ֣נוּ בַבֹּ֣קֶר חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וּֽנְרַנְּנָ֥ה וְ֝נִשְׂמְחָ֗ה בְּכָל־יָמֵֽינוּ׃ Psalms Psa 90:14 Fülle uns früh mit deiner Gnade, so wollen wir rühmen und fröhlich sein unser Leben lang.(dhs) Psa 90:14 Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:15 ============ Psa 90:15 Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, And the years we have seen evil.(nas) Psa 90:15 εὐφράνθημεν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἡμερῶν ἐταπείνωσας ἡμᾶς ἐτῶν ὧν εἴδομεν κακά (lxx) Psa 90:15 [Vulgate 89:15] laetifica nos pro diebus quibus adflixisti nos et annis in quibus vidimus mala(vulgate) 15 ׃90 שַׂ֭מְּחֵנוּ כִּימ֣וֹת עִנִּיתָ֑נוּ שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת רָאִ֥ינוּ רָעָֽה׃ Psalms Psa 90:15 Erfreue uns nun wieder, nachdem du uns so lange plagest, nachdem wir so lange Unglück leiden.(dhs) Psa 90:15 Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, The years in which we have seen evil.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:16 ============ Psa 90:16 Let Your work appear to Your servants And Your majesty to their children.(nas) Psa 90:16 καὶ ἰδὲ ἐπὶ τοὺς δούλους σου καὶ τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ ὁδήγησον τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν (lxx) Psa 90:16 [Vulgate 89:16] appareat apud servos tuos opus tuum et gloria tua super filios eorum(vulgate) 16 ׃90 יֵרָאֶ֣ה אֶל־עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ פָעֳלֶ֑ךָ וַ֝הֲדָרְךָ֗ עַל־בְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Psalms Psa 90:16 Zeige deinen Knechten deine Werke und deine Ehre ihren Kindern.(dhs) Psa 90:16 Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 90:17 ============ Psa 90:17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.(nas) Psa 90:17 καὶ ἔστω ἡ λαμπρότης κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς καὶ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν ἡμῶν κατεύθυνον ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς (lxx) Psa 90:17 [Vulgate 89:17] et sit decor Domini Dei nostri super nos et opus manuum nostrarum fac stabile super nos opus manuum nostrarum confirma(vulgate) 17 ׃90 וִיהִ֤י ׀ נֹ֤עַם אֲדֹנָ֥י אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ עָ֫לֵ֥ינוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָ֭דֵינוּ כּוֹנְנָ֥ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָ֝דֵ֗ינוּ כּוֹנְנֵֽהוּ׃ Psalms Psa 90:17 Und der HERR, unser Gott, sei uns freundlich und fördere das Werk unsrer Hände bei uns; ja, das Werk unsrer Hände wolle er fördern!(dhs) Psa 90:17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 91:1 ============ top of the page
