Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 8:4 ============ Heb 8:4 Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are those who offer the gifts according to the Law; (nas) Heb 8:4 εἰ μὲν οὗν ἦν ἐπὶ γῆς, οὐδ᾽ ἂν ἦν ἱερεύς, ὄντων τῶν προσφερόντων κατὰ νόμον τὰ δῶρα· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 8:4 ει μεν γαρ ην επι γης ουδ αν ην ιερευς οντων των ιερεων των προσφεροντων κατα τον νομον τα δωρα (Textus Receptus) Heb 8:4 ei men gar hn epi ghv oud an hn iereuv ontwn twn ierewn twn prosferontwn kata ton nomon ta dwra (Byz translitr) Heb 8:4 Si ergo esset super terram, nec esset sacerdos: cum essent qui offerent secundum legem munera,(vulgate) Hebrews 8:4 For he were not a Priest, if he were on the earth, seeing there are Priestes that according to the Lawe offer giftes,(Geneva) Heb 8:4 Wenn er nun auf Erden wäre, so wäre er nicht Priester, dieweil da Priester sind, die nach dem Gesetz die Gaben opfern,(dhs) Heb 8:4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 8:5 ============ Heb 8:5 who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, "SEE," He says,"THAT YOU MAKE all things ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN."(nas) Heb 8:5 οἵτινες ὑποδείγματι καὶ σκιᾷ λατρεύουσιν τῶν ἐπουρανίων, καθὼς κεχρημάτισται μωϊσῆς μέλλων ἐπιτελεῖν τὴν σκηνήν, ὅρα γάρ, φησίν, ποιήσεις πάντα κατὰ τὸν τύπον τὸν δειχθέντα σοι ἐν τῶ ὄρει· (Nestle-Aland) Heb 8:5 οιτινες υποδειγματι και σκια λατρευουσιν των επουρανιων καθως κεχρηματισται μωσης μελλων επιτελειν την σκηνην ορα γαρ φησιν ποιησης παντα κατα τον τυπον τον δειχθεντα σοι εν τω ορει (Textus Receptus) Heb 8:5 oitinev upodeigmati kai skia latreuousin twn epouraniwn kaywv kecrhmatistai mwushv mellwn epitelein thn skhnhn ora gar fhsin poihseiv panta kata ton tupon ton deicyenta soi en tw orei (Byz translitr) Heb 8:5 qui exemplari, et umbræ deserviunt cælestium. For He said, "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 8:6 ============ Heb 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. (nas) Heb 8:6 νυν[ὶ] δὲ διαφορωτέρας τέτυχεν λειτουργίας, ὅσῳ καὶ κρείττονός ἐστιν διαθήκης μεσίτης, ἥτις ἐπὶ κρείττοσιν ἐπαγγελίαις νενομοθέτηται. (nas) Heb 8:9 οὐ κατὰ τὴν διαθήκην ἣν ἐποίησα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἐπιλαβομένου μου τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῶν ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς αἰγύπτου, ὅτι αὐτοὶ οὐκ ἐνέμειναν ἐν τῇ διαθήκῃ μου, κἀγὼ ἠμέλησα αὐτῶν, λέγει κύριος. Denn sie sind nicht geblieben in meinem Testament, so habe ich ihrer auch nicht wollen achten, spricht der HERR.(dhs) Heb 8:9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 8:10 ============ Heb 8:10 "FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND I WILL WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. (nas) Heb 8:10 ὅτι αὕτη ἡ διαθήκη ἣν διαθήσομαι τῶ οἴκῳ ἰσραὴλ μετὰ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐκείνας, λέγει κύριος, διδοὺς νόμους μου εἰς τὴν διάνοιαν αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐπὶ καρδίας αὐτῶν ἐπιγράψω αὐτούς, καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεὸν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν. (nas) Heb 8:11 καὶ οὐ μὴ διδάξωσιν ἕκαστος τὸν πολίτην αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, λέγων, γνῶθι τὸν κύριον, ὅτι πάντες εἰδήσουσίν με ἀπὸ μικροῦ ἕως μεγάλου αὐτῶν. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 8:12 οτι ιλεως εσομαι ταις αδικιαις αυτων και των αμαρτιων αυτων και των ανομιων αυτων ου μη μνησθω ετι (Textus Receptus) Heb 8:12 oti ilewv esomai taiv adikiaiv autwn kai twn amartiwn autwn kai twn anomiwn autwn ou mh mnhsyw eti (Byz translitr) Heb 8:12 quia propitius ero iniquitatibus eorum, et peccatorum eorum jam non memorabor.(vulgate) Hebrews 8:12 For I will bee mercifull to their vnrighteousnes, and I wil remember their sinnes and their iniquities no more.(Geneva) Heb 8:12 Denn ich will gnädig sein ihrer Untugend und ihren Sünden, und ihrer Ungerechtigkeit will ich nicht mehr gedenken."(dhs) Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."(nkjv) ======= Hebrews 8:13 ============ Heb 8:13 When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear. (nas) Heb 8:13 ἐν τῶ λέγειν καινὴν πεπαλαίωκεν τὴν πρώτην· τὸ δὲ παλαιούμενον καὶ γηράσκον ἐγγὺς ἀφανισμοῦ. (Nestle-Aland) Heb 8:13 εν τω λεγειν καινην πεπαλαιωκεν την πρωτην το δε παλαιουμενον και γηρασκον εγγυς αφανισμου (Textus Receptus) Heb 8:13 en tw legein kainhn pepalaiwken thn prwthn to de palaioumenon kai ghraskon egguv afanismou (Byz translitr) Heb 8:13 Dicendo autem novum: veteravit prius. Quod autem antiquatur, et senescit, prope interitum est.(vulgate) Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith a new Testament, he hath abrogate the olde: nowe that which is disanulled and waxed olde, is ready to vanish away.(Geneva) Heb 8:13 Indem er sagt: "Ein neues", macht das erste alt.
