Today's Date: 4/9/2025 ======= Proverbs 2:1 ============ Pro 2:1 My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you,(nas) Pro 2:1 υἱέ ἐὰν δεξάμενος ῥῆσιν ἐμῆς ἐντολῆς κρύψῃς παρὰ σεαυτῷ (lxx) Pro 2:1 [Fili mi, si susceperis sermones meos, et mandata mea absconderis penes te:(vulgate) 1 ׃2 בְּ֭נִי אִם־תִּקַּ֣ח אֲמָרָ֑י וּ֝מִצְוֺתַ֗י תִּצְפֹּ֥ן אִתָּֽךְ׃ Proverbs Pro 2:1 Mein Kind, so du willst meine Rede annehmen und meine Gebote bei dir behalten,(dhs) Pro 2:1 My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:2 ============ Pro 2:2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding;(nas) Pro 2:2 ὑπακούσεται σοφίας τὸ οὖς σου καὶ παραβαλεῖς καρδίαν σου εἰς σύνεσιν παραβαλεῖς δὲ αὐτὴν ἐπὶ νουθέτησιν τῷ υἱῷ σου (lxx) Pro 2:2 ut audiat sapientiam auris tua, inclina cor tuum ad cognoscendam prudentiam.(vulgate) 2 ׃2 לְהַקְשִׁ֣יב לַֽחָכְמָ֣ה אָזְנֶ֑ךָ תַּטֶּ֥ה לִ֝בְּךָ֗ לַתְּבוּנָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:2 daß dein Ohr auf Weisheit achthat und du dein Herz mit Fleiß dazu neigest;(dhs) Pro 2:2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:3 ============ Pro 2:3 For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding;(nas) Pro 2:3 ἐὰν γὰρ τὴν σοφίαν ἐπικαλέσῃ καὶ τῇ συνέσει δῷς φωνήν σου τὴν δὲ αἴσθησιν ζητήσῃς μεγάλῃ τῇ φωνῇ (lxx) Pro 2:3 Si enim sapientiam invocaveris, et inclinaveris cor tuum prudentiæ;(vulgate) 3 ׃2 כִּ֤י אִ֣ם לַבִּינָ֣ה תִקְרָ֑א לַ֝תְּבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֶֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 2:3 ja, so du mit Fleiß darnach rufest und darum betest;(dhs) Pro 2:3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:4 ============ Pro 2:4 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures;(nas) Pro 2:4 καὶ ἐὰν ζητήσῃς αὐτὴν ὡς ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς θησαυροὺς ἐξερευνήσῃς αὐτήν (lxx) Pro 2:4 si quæsieris eam quasi pecuniam, et sicut thesauros effoderis illam:(vulgate) 4 ׃2 אִם־תְּבַקְשֶׁ֥נָּה כַכָּ֑סֶף וְֽכַמַּטְמוֹנִ֥ים תַּחְפְּשֶֽׂנָּה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:4 so du sie suchest wie Silber und nach ihr froschest wie nach Schätzen:(dhs) Pro 2:4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:5 ============ Pro 2:5 Then you will discern the fear of the Lord And discover the knowledge of God.(nas) Pro 2:5 τότε συνήσεις φόβον κυρίου καὶ ἐπίγνωσιν θεοῦ εὑρήσεις (lxx) Pro 2:5 tunc intelliges timorem Domini, et scientiam Dei invenies,(vulgate) 5 ׃2 אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין יִרְאַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְדַ֖עַת אֱלֹהִ֣ים תִּמְצָֽא׃ Proverbs Pro 2:5 alsdann wirst du die Furcht des HERRN verstehen und Gottes Erkenntnis finden.(dhs) Pro 2:5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:6 ============ Pro 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.(nas) Pro 2:6 ὅτι κύριος δίδωσιν σοφίαν καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ γνῶσις καὶ σύνεσις (lxx) Pro 2:6 quia Dominus dat sapientiam, et ex ore ejus prudentia et scientia.(vulgate) 6 ׃2 כִּֽי־יְ֭הוָה יִתֵּ֣ן חָכְמָ֑ה מִ֝פִּ֗יו דַּ֣עַת וּתְבוּנָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:6 Denn der HERR gibt Weisheit, und aus seinem Munde kommt Erkenntnis und Verstand.(dhs) Pro 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:7 ============ Pro 2:7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,(nas) Pro 2:7 καὶ θησαυρίζει τοῖς κατορθοῦσι σωτηρίαν ὑπερασπιεῖ τὴν πορείαν αὐτῶν (lxx) Pro 2:7 Custodiet rectorum salutem, et proteget gradientes simpliciter,(vulgate) 7 ׃2 *וצפן **יִצְפֹּ֣ן לַ֭יְשָׁרִים תּוּשִׁיָּ֑ה מָ֝גֵ֗ן לְהֹ֣לְכֵי תֹֽם׃ Proverbs Pro 2:7 Er läßt's den Aufrichtigen gelingen und beschirmt die Frommen(dhs) Pro 2:7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:8 ============ Pro 2:8 Guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones.(nas) Pro 2:8 τοῦ φυλάξαι ὁδοὺς δικαιωμάτων καὶ ὁδὸν εὐλαβουμένων αὐτὸν διαφυλάξει (lxx) Pro 2:8 servans semitas justitiæ, et vias sanctorum custodiens.(vulgate) 8 ׃2 לִ֭נְצֹר אָרְח֣וֹת מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְדֶ֖רֶךְ *חסידו **חֲסִידָ֣יו יִשְׁמֹֽר׃ Proverbs Pro 2:8 und behütet die, so recht tun, und bewahrt den Weg seiner Heiligen.(dhs) Pro 2:8 He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:9 ============ Pro 2:9 Then you will discern righteousness and justice And equity and every good course.(nas) Pro 2:9 τότε συνήσεις δικαιοσύνην καὶ κρίμα καὶ κατορθώσεις πάντας ἄξονας ἀγαθούς (lxx) Pro 2:9 Tunc intelliges justitiam, et judicium, et æquitatem, et omnem semitam bonam.]~(vulgate) 9 ׃2 אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין צֶ֣דֶק וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּ֝מֵישָׁרִ֗ים כָּל־מַעְגַּל־טֽוֹב׃ Proverbs Pro 2:9 Alsdann wirst du verstehen Gerechtigkeit und Recht und Frömmigkeit und allen guten Weg.(dhs) Pro 2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:10 ============ Pro 2:10 For wisdom will enter your heart And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;(nas) Pro 2:10 ἐὰν γὰρ ἔλθῃ ἡ σοφία εἰς σὴν διάνοιαν ἡ δὲ αἴσθησις τῇ σῇ ψυχῇ καλὴ εἶναι δόξῃ (lxx) Pro 2:10 [Si intraverit sapientia cor tuum, et scientia animæ tuæ placuerit,(vulgate) 10 ׃2 כִּֽי־תָב֣וֹא חָכְמָ֣ה בְלִבֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝דַ֗עַת לְֽנַפְשְׁךָ֥ יִנְעָֽם׃ Proverbs Pro 2:10 Denn Weisheit wird in dein Herz eingehen, daß du gerne lernst;(dhs) Pro 2:10 When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:11 ============ Pro 2:11 Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you,(nas) Pro 2:11 βουλὴ καλὴ φυλάξει σε ἔννοια δὲ ὁσία τηρήσει σε (lxx) Pro 2:11 consilium custodiet te, et prudentia servabit te:(vulgate) 11 ׃2 מְ֭זִמָּה תִּשְׁמֹ֥ר עָלֶ֗יךָ תְּבוּנָ֥ה תִנְצְרֶֽכָּה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:11 guter Rat wird dich bewahren, und Verstand wird dich behüten,(dhs) Pro 2:11 Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:12 ============ Pro 2:12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things;(nas) Pro 2:12 ἵνα ῥύσηταί σε ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ κακῆς καὶ ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς λαλοῦντος μηδὲν πιστόν (lxx) Pro 2:12 ut eruaris a via mala, et ab homine qui perversa loquitur;(vulgate) 12 ׃2 לְ֭הַצִּ֣ילְךָ מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ רָ֑ע מֵ֝אִ֗ישׁ מְדַבֵּ֥ר תַּהְפֻּכֽוֹת׃ Proverbs Pro 2:12 daß du nicht geratest auf den Weg der Bösen noch unter die verkehrten Schwätzer,(dhs) Pro 2:12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:13 ============ Pro 2:13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;(nas) Pro 2:13 ὦ οἱ ἐγκαταλείποντες ὁδοὺς εὐθείας τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ὁδοῖς σκότους (lxx) Pro 2:13 qui relinquunt iter rectum, et ambulant per vias tenebrosas;(vulgate) 13 ׃2 הַ֭עֹ֣זְבִים אָרְח֣וֹת יֹ֑שֶׁר לָ֝לֶ֗כֶת בְּדַרְכֵי־חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ Proverbs Pro 2:13 die da verlassen die rechte Bahn und gehen finstere Wege,(dhs) Pro 2:13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:14 ============ Pro 2:14 Who delight in doing evil And rejoice in the perversity of evil;(nas) Pro 2:14 οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐπὶ κακοῖς καὶ χαίροντες ἐπὶ διαστροφῇ κακῇ (lxx) Pro 2:14 qui lætantur cum malefecerint, et exsultant in rebus pessimis;(vulgate) 14 ׃2 הַ֭שְּׂמֵחִים לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת רָ֑ע יָ֝גִ֗ילוּ בְּֽתַהְפֻּכ֥וֹת רָֽע׃ Proverbs Pro 2:14 die sich freuen, Böses zu tun, und sind fröhlich in ihrem bösen, verkehrten Wesen,(dhs) Pro 2:14 Who rejoice in doing evil, And delight in the perversity of the wicked;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:15 ============ Pro 2:15 Whose paths are crooked, And who are devious in their ways;(nas) Pro 2:15 ὧν αἱ τρίβοι σκολιαὶ καὶ καμπύλαι αἱ τροχιαὶ αὐτῶν (lxx) Pro 2:15 quorum viæ perversæ sunt, et infames gressus eorum.(vulgate) 15 ׃2 אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָרְחֹתֵיהֶ֣ם עִקְּשִׁ֑ים וּ֝נְלוֹזִ֗ים בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתָֽם׃ Proverbs Pro 2:15 welche ihren Weg verkehren und folgen ihrem Abwege;(dhs) Pro 2:15 Whose ways are crooked, And who are devious in their paths;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:16 ============ Pro 2:16 To deliver you from the strange woman, From the adulteress who flatters with her words;(nas) Pro 2:16 τοῦ μακράν σε ποιῆσαι ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ εὐθείας καὶ ἀλλότριον τῆς δικαίας γνώμης (lxx) Pro 2:16 Ut eruaris a muliere aliena, et ab extranea quæ mollit sermones suos,(vulgate) 16 ׃2 לְ֭הַצִּ֣ילְךָ מֵאִשָּׁ֣ה זָרָ֑ה מִ֝נָּכְרִיָּ֗ה אֲמָרֶ֥יהָ הֶחֱלִֽיקָה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:16 daß du nicht geratest an eines andern Weib, an eine Fremde, die glatte Worte gibt(dhs) Pro 2:16 To deliver you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:17 ============ Pro 2:17 That leaves the companion of her youth And forgets the covenant of her God;(nas) Pro 2:17 υἱέ μή σε καταλάβῃ κακὴ βουλὴ ἡ ἀπολείπουσα διδασκαλίαν νεότητος καὶ διαθήκην θείαν ἐπιλελησμένη (lxx) Pro 2:17 et relinquit ducem pubertatis suæ,(vulgate) 17 ׃2 הַ֭עֹזֶבֶת אַלּ֣וּף נְעוּרֶ֑יהָ וְאֶת־בְּרִ֖ית אֱלֹהֶ֣יהָ שָׁכֵֽחָה׃ Proverbs Pro 2:17 und verläßt den Freund ihrer Jugend und vergißt den Bund ihres Gottes(dhs) Pro 2:17 Who forsakes the companion of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:18 ============ Pro 2:18 For her house sinks down to death And her tracks lead to the dead;(nas) Pro 2:18 ἔθετο γὰρ παρὰ τῷ θανάτῳ τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς καὶ παρὰ τῷ ᾅδῃ μετὰ τῶν γηγενῶν τοὺς ἄξονας αὐτῆς (lxx) Pro 2:18 et pacti Dei sui oblita est. Inclinata est enim ad mortem domus ejus, et ad inferos semitæ ipsius.(vulgate) 18 ׃2 כִּ֤י שָׁ֣חָה אֶל־מָ֣וֶת בֵּיתָ֑הּ וְאֶל־רְ֝פָאִ֗ים מַעְגְּלֹתֶֽיהָ׃ Proverbs Pro 2:18 (denn ihr Haus neigt sich zum Tod und ihre Gänge zu den Verlorenen;(dhs) Pro 2:18 For her house leads down to death, And her paths to the dead;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:19 ============ Pro 2:19 None who go to her return again, Nor do they reach the paths of life.(nas) Pro 2:19 πάντες οἱ πορευόμενοι ἐν αὐτῇ οὐκ ἀναστρέψουσιν οὐδὲ μὴ καταλάβωσιν τρίβους εὐθείας οὐ γὰρ καταλαμβάνονται ὑπὸ ἐνιαυτῶν ζωῆς (lxx) Pro 2:19 Omnes qui ingrediuntur ad eam non revertentur, nec apprehendent semitas vitæ.(vulgate) 19 ׃2 כָּל־בָּ֭אֶיהָ לֹ֣א יְשׁוּב֑וּן וְלֹֽא־יַ֝שִּׂ֗יגוּ אָרְח֥וֹת חַיִּֽים׃ Proverbs Pro 2:19 alle, die zu ihr eingehen, kommen nicht wieder und ergreifen den Weg des Lebens nicht);(dhs) Pro 2:19 None who go to her return, Nor do they regain the paths of life--(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:20 ============ Pro 2:20 So you will walk in the way of good men And keep to the paths of the righteous.(nas) Pro 2:20 εἰ γὰρ ἐπορεύοντο τρίβους ἀγαθάς εὕροσαν ἂν τρίβους δικαιοσύνης λείους (lxx) Pro 2:20 Ut ambules in via bona, et calles justorum custodias:(vulgate) 20 ׃2 לְמַ֗עַן תֵּ֭לֵךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ טוֹבִ֑ים וְאָרְח֖וֹת צַדִּיקִ֣ים תִּשְׁמֹֽר׃ Proverbs Pro 2:20 auf daß du wandelst auf gutem Wege und bleibst auf der rechten Bahn.(dhs) Pro 2:20 So you may walk in the way of goodness, And keep to the paths of righteousness.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:21 ============ Pro 2:21 For the upright will live in the land And the blameless will remain in it;(nas) Pro 2:21 χρηστοὶ ἔσονται οἰκήτορες γῆς ἄκακοι δὲ ὑπολειφθήσονται ἐν αὐτῇ ὅτι εὐθεῖς κατασκηνώσουσι γῆν καὶ ὅσιοι ὑπολειφθήσονται ἐν αὐτῇ (lxx) Pro 2:21 qui enim recti sunt habitabunt in terra, et simplices permanebunt in ea;(vulgate) 21 ׃2 כִּֽי־יְשָׁרִ֥ים יִשְׁכְּנוּ[c] אָ֑רֶץ וּ֝תְמִימִ֗ים יִוָּ֥תְרוּ בָֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 2:21 Denn die Gerechten werden im Lande wohnen, und die Frommen werden darin bleiben;(dhs) Pro 2:21 For the upright will dwell in the land, And the blameless will remain in it;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 2:22 ============ Pro 2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous will be uprooted from it.(nas) Pro 2:22 ὁδοὶ ἀσεβῶν ἐκ γῆς ὀλοῦνται οἱ δὲ παράνομοι ἐξωσθήσονται ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς (lxx) Pro 2:22 impii vero de terra perdentur, et qui inique agunt auferentur ex ea.](vulgate) 22 ׃2 וּ֭רְשָׁעִים מֵאֶ֣רֶץ יִכָּרֵ֑תוּ וּ֝בוֹגְדִ֗ים יִסְּח֥וּ מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ פ Proverbs Pro 2:22 aber die Gottlosen werden aus dem Lande ausgerottet, und die Verächter werden daraus vertilgt.(dhs) Pro 2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the earth, And the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:1 ============ top of the page
