Today's Date: ======= Proverbs 3:1 ============ Pro 3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments;(nas) Pro 3:1 υἱέ ἐμῶν νομίμων μὴ ἐπιλανθάνου τὰ δὲ ῥήματά μου τηρείτω σὴ καρδία (lxx) Pro 3:1 [Fili mi, ne obliviscaris legis meæ, et præcepta mea cor tuum custodiat:(vulgate) 1 ׃3 בְּ֭נִי תּוֹרָתִ֣י אַל־תִּשְׁכָּ֑ח וּ֝מִצְוֺתַ֗י יִצֹּ֥ר לִבֶּֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:1 Mein Kind, vergiß meines Gesetzes nicht, und dein Herz behalte meine Gebote.(dhs) Pro 3:1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:2 ============ Pro 3:2 For length of days and years of life And peace they will add to you.(nas) Pro 3:2 μῆκος γὰρ βίου καὶ ἔτη ζωῆς καὶ εἰρήνην προσθήσουσίν σοι (lxx) Pro 3:2 longitudinem enim dierum, et annos vitæ, et pacem, apponent tibi.(vulgate) 2 ׃3 כִּ֤י אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים וּשְׁנ֣וֹת חַיִּ֑ים וְ֝שָׁל֗וֹם יוֹסִ֥יפוּ לָֽךְ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:2 Denn sie werden dir langes Leben und gute Jahre und Frieden bringen;(dhs) Pro 3:2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:3 ============ Pro 3:3 Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.(nas) Pro 3:3 ἐλεημοσύναι καὶ πίστεις μὴ ἐκλιπέτωσάν σε ἄφαψαι δὲ αὐτὰς ἐπὶ σῷ τραχήλῳ καὶ εὑρήσεις χάριν (lxx) Pro 3:3 Misericordia et veritas te non deserant; circumda eas gutturi tuo, et describe in tabulis cordis tui:(vulgate) 3 ׃3 חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶ֗ת אַֽל־יַעַ֫זְבֻ֥ךָ קָשְׁרֵ֥ם עַל־גַּרְגְּרוֹתֶ֑יךָ כָּ֝תְבֵ֗ם עַל־ל֥וּחַ לִבֶּֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:3 Gnade und Treue werden dich nicht lassen. Hänge sie an deinen Hals und schreibe sie auf die Tafel deines Herzens,(dhs) Pro 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:4 ============ Pro 3:4 So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man.(nas) Pro 3:4 καὶ προνοοῦ καλὰ ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Pro 3:4 et invenies gratiam, et disciplinam bonam, coram Deo et hominibus.(vulgate) 4 ׃3 וּמְצָא־חֵ֖ן וְשֵֽׂכֶל־ט֑וֹב בְּעֵינֵ֖י אֱלֹהִ֣ים וְאָדָֽם׃ פ Proverbs Pro 3:4 so wirst du Gunst und Klugheit finden, die Gott und Menschen gefällt.(dhs) Pro 3:4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:5 ============ Pro 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.(nas) Pro 3:5 ἴσθι πεποιθὼς ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ ἐπὶ θεῷ ἐπὶ δὲ σῇ σοφίᾳ μὴ ἐπαίρου (lxx) Pro 3:5 Habe fiduciam in Domino ex toto corde tuo, et ne innitaris prudentiæ tuæ.(vulgate) 5 ׃3 בְּטַ֣ח אֶל־יְ֭הוָה בְּכָל־לִבֶּ֑ךָ וְאֶל־בִּֽ֝ינָתְךָ֗ אַל־תִּשָּׁעֵֽן׃ Proverbs Pro 3:5 Verlaß dich auf den HERRN von ganzem Herzen und verlaß dich nicht auf deinen Verstand;(dhs) Pro 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:6 ============ Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.(nas) Pro 3:6 ἐν πάσαις ὁδοῖς σου γνώριζε αὐτήν ἵνα ὀρθοτομῇ τὰς ὁδούς σου ὁ δὲ πούς σου οὐ μὴ προσκόπτῃ (lxx) Pro 3:6 In omnibus viis tuis cogita illum, et ipse diriget gressus tuos.(vulgate) 6 ׃3 בְּכָל־דְּרָכֶ֥יךָ דָעֵ֑הוּ וְ֝ה֗וּא יְיַשֵּׁ֥ר אֹֽרְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:6 sondern gedenke an ihn in allen deinen Wegen, so wird er dich recht führen.(dhs) Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:7 ============ Pro 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.(nas) Pro 3:7 μὴ ἴσθι φρόνιμος παρὰ σεαυτῷ φοβοῦ δὲ τὸν θεὸν καὶ ἔκκλινε ἀπὸ παντὸς κακοῦ (lxx) Pro 3:7 Ne sis sapiens apud temetipsum; time Deum, et recede a malo:(vulgate) 7 ׃3 אַל־תְּהִ֣י חָכָ֣ם בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ יְרָ֥א אֶת־יְ֝הוָ֗ה וְס֣וּר מֵרָֽע׃ Proverbs Pro 3:7 Dünke dich nicht, weise zu sein, sondern fürchte den HERRN und weiche vom Bösen.(dhs) Pro 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:8 ============ Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones.(nas) Pro 3:8 τότε ἴασις ἔσται τῷ σώματί σου καὶ ἐπιμέλεια τοῖς ὀστέοις σου (lxx) Pro 3:8 sanitas quippe erit umbilico tuo, et irrigatio ossium tuorum.(vulgate) 8 ׃3 רִ֭פְאוּת תְּהִ֣י לְשָׁרֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝שִׁקּ֗וּי לְעַצְמוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:8 Das wird deinem Leibe gesund sein und deine Gebeine erquicken.(dhs) Pro 3:8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:9 ============ Pro 3:9 Honor the Lord from your wealth And from the first of all your produce;(nas) Pro 3:9 τίμα τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ σῶν δικαίων πόνων καὶ ἀπάρχου αὐτῷ ἀπὸ σῶν καρπῶν δικαιοσύνης (lxx) Pro 3:9 Honora Dominum de tua substantia, et de primitiis omnium frugum tuarum da ei:(vulgate) 9 ׃3 כַּבֵּ֣ד אֶת־יְ֭הוָה מֵהוֹנֶ֑ךָ וּ֝מֵרֵאשִׁ֗ית כָּל־תְּבוּאָתֶֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:9 Ehre den HERRN von deinem Gut und von den Erstlingen all deines Einkommens,(dhs) Pro 3:9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:10 ============ Pro 3:10 So your barns will be filled with plenty And your vats will overflow with new wine.(nas) Pro 3:10 ἵνα πίμπληται τὰ ταμίειά σου πλησμονῆς σίτου οἴνῳ δὲ αἱ ληνοί σου ἐκβλύζωσιν (lxx) Pro 3:10 et implebuntur horrea tua saturitate, et vino torcularia tua redundabunt.]~(vulgate) 10 ׃3 וְיִמָּלְא֣וּ אֲסָמֶ֣יךָ שָׂבָ֑ע וְ֝תִיר֗וֹשׁ יְקָבֶ֥יךָ יִפְרֹֽצוּ׃ פ Proverbs Pro 3:10 so werden deine Scheunen voll werden und deine Kelter mit Most übergehen.(dhs) Pro 3:10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:11 ============ Pro 3:11 My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord Or loathe His reproof,(nas) Pro 3:11 υἱέ μὴ ὀλιγώρει παιδείας κυρίου μηδὲ ἐκλύου ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐλεγχόμενος (lxx) Pro 3:11 [Disciplinam Domini, fili mi, ne abjicias, nec deficias cum ab eo corriperis:(vulgate) 11 ׃3 מוּסַ֣ר יְ֭הוָה בְּנִ֣י אַל־תִּמְאָ֑ס וְאַל־תָּ֝קֹ֗ץ בְּתוֹכַחְתּֽוֹ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:11 Mein Kind, verwirf die Zucht des HERRN nicht und sei nicht ungeduldig über seine Strafe.(dhs) Pro 3:11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:12 ============ Pro 3:12 For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.(nas) Pro 3:12 ὃν γὰρ ἀγαπᾷ κύριος παιδεύει μαστιγοῖ δὲ πάντα υἱὸν ὃν παραδέχεται (lxx) Pro 3:12 quem enim diligit Dominus, corripit, et quasi pater in filio complacet sibi.(vulgate) 12 ׃3 כִּ֤י אֶ֥ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֶאֱהַ֣ב יְהוָ֣ה יוֹכִ֑יחַ וּ֝כְאָ֗ב אֶת־בֵּ֥ן יִרְצֶֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 3:12 Denn welchen der HERR liebt, den straft er, und hat doch Wohlgefallen an ihm wie ein Vater am Sohn.(dhs) Pro 3:12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:13 ============ Pro 3:13 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains understanding.(nas) Pro 3:13 μακάριος ἄνθρωπος ὃς εὗρεν σοφίαν καὶ θνητὸς ὃς εἶδεν φρόνησιν (lxx) Pro 3:13 Beatus homo qui invenit sapientiam, et qui affluit prudentia.(vulgate) 13 ׃3 אַשְׁרֵ֣י אָ֭דָם מָצָ֣א חָכְמָ֑ה וְ֝אָדָ֗ם יָפִ֥יק תְּבוּנָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 3:13 Wohl dem Menschen, der Weisheit findet, und dem Menschen, der Verstand bekommt!(dhs) Pro 3:13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:14 ============ Pro 3:14 For her profit is better than the profit of silver And her gain better than fine gold.(nas) Pro 3:14 κρεῖττον γὰρ αὐτὴν ἐμπορεύεσθαι ἢ χρυσίου καὶ ἀργυρίου θησαυρούς (lxx) Pro 3:14 Melior est acquisitio ejus negotiatione argenti, et auri primi et purissimi fructus ejus.(vulgate) 14 ׃3 כִּ֤י ט֣וֹב סַ֭חְרָהּ מִסְּחַר־כָּ֑סֶף וּ֝מֵחָר֗וּץ תְּבוּאָתָֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:14 Denn es ist besser, sie zu erwerben, als Silber; denn ihr Ertrag ist besser als Gold.(dhs) Pro 3:14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:15 ============ Pro 3:15 She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her.(nas) Pro 3:15 τιμιωτέρα δέ ἐστιν λίθων πολυτελῶν οὐκ ἀντιτάξεται αὐτῇ οὐδὲν πονηρόν εὔγνωστός ἐστιν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἐγγίζουσιν αὐτῇ πᾶν δὲ τίμιον οὐκ ἄξιον αὐτῆς ἐστιν (lxx) Pro 3:15 Pretiosior est cunctis opibus, et omnia quæ desiderantur huic non valent comparari.(vulgate) 15 ׃3 יְקָ֣רָה הִ֭יא *מפניים **מִפְּנִינִ֑ים וְכָל־חֲ֝פָצֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִֽשְׁווּ־בָֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:15 Sie ist edler denn Perlen; und alles, was du wünschen magst, ist ihr nicht zu vergleichen.(dhs) Pro 3:15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:16 ============ Pro 3:16 Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.(nas) Pro 3:16 μῆκος γὰρ βίου καὶ ἔτη ζωῆς ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτῆς ἐν δὲ τῇ ἀριστερᾷ αὐτῆς πλοῦτος καὶ δόξα Pro 3:16 Longitudo dierum in dextera ejus, et in sinistra illius divitiæ et gloria.(vulgate) 16 ׃3 אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֭מִים בִּֽימִינָ֑הּ בִּ֝שְׂמֹאולָ֗הּ עֹ֣שֶׁר וְכָבֽוֹד׃ Proverbs Pro 3:16 Langes Leben ist zu ihrer rechten Hand; zu ihrer Linken ist Reichtum und Ehre.(dhs) Pro 3:16 Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:17 ============ Pro 3:17 Her ways are pleasant ways And all her paths are peace.(nas) Pro 3:17 αἱ ὁδοὶ αὐτῆς ὁδοὶ καλαί καὶ πάντες οἱ τρίβοι αὐτῆς ἐν εἰρήνῃ (lxx) Pro 3:17 Viæ ejus viæ pulchræ, et omnes semitæ illius pacificæ.(vulgate) 17 ׃3 דְּרָכֶ֥יהָ דַרְכֵי־נֹ֑עַם וְֽכָל־נְתִ֖יבוֹתֶ֣יהָ שָׁלֽוֹם׃ Proverbs Pro 3:17 Ihre Wege sind liebliche Wege, und alle ihre Steige sind Friede.(dhs) Pro 3:17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:18 ============ Pro 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who hold her fast.(nas) Pro 3:18 ξύλον ζωῆς ἐστι πᾶσι τοῖς ἀντεχομένοις αὐτῆς καὶ τοῖς ἐπερειδομένοις ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ὡς ἐπὶ κύριον ἀσφαλής (lxx) Pro 3:18 Lignum vitæ est his qui apprehenderint eam, et qui tenuerit eam beatus.(vulgate) 18 ׃3 עֵץ־חַיִּ֣ים הִ֭יא לַמַּחֲזִיקִ֣ים בָּ֑הּ וְֽתֹמְכֶ֥יהָ מְאֻשָּֽׁר׃ פ Proverbs Pro 3:18 Sie ist ein Baum des Lebens allen, die sie ergreifen; und selig sind, die sie halten.(dhs) Pro 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:19 ============ Pro 3:19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens.(nas) Pro 3:19 ὁ θεὸς τῇ σοφίᾳ ἐθεμελίωσεν τὴν γῆν ἡτοίμασεν δὲ οὐρανοὺς ἐν φρονήσει (lxx) Pro 3:19 Dominus sapientia fundavit terram; stabilivit cælos prudentia.(vulgate) 19 ׃3 יְֽהוָ֗ה בְּחָכְמָ֥ה יָֽסַד־אָ֑רֶץ כּוֹנֵ֥ן שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם בִּתְבוּנָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 3:19 Denn der HERR hat die Erde durch Weisheit gegründet und durch seinen Rat die Himmel bereitet.(dhs) Pro 3:19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:20 ============ Pro 3:20 By His knowledge the deeps were broken up And the skies drip with dew.(nas) Pro 3:20 ἐν αἰσθήσει ἄβυσσοι ἐρράγησαν νέφη δὲ ἐρρύησαν δρόσους (lxx) Pro 3:20 Sapientia illius eruperunt abyssi, et nubes rore concrescunt.]~(vulgate) 20 ׃3 בְּ֭דַעְתּוֹ תְּהוֹמ֣וֹת נִבְקָ֑עוּ וּ֝שְׁחָקִ֗ים יִרְעֲפוּ־טָֽל׃ Proverbs Pro 3:20 Durch seine Weisheit sind die Tiefen zerteilt und die Wolken mit Tau triefend gemacht.(dhs) Pro 3:20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:21 ============ Pro 3:21 My son, let them not vanish from your sight; Keep sound wisdom and discretion,(nas) Pro 3:21 υἱέ μὴ παραρρυῇς τήρησον δὲ ἐμὴν βουλὴν καὶ ἔννοιαν (lxx) Pro 3:21 [Fili mi, ne effluant hæc ab oculis tuis. Custodi legem atque consilium,(vulgate) 21 ׃3 בְּ֭נִי אַל־יָלֻ֣זוּ מֵעֵינֶ֑יךָ נְצֹ֥ר תֻּ֝שִׁיָּ֗ה וּמְזִמָּֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 3:21 Mein Kind, laß sie nicht von deinen Augen weichen, so wirst du glückselig und klug werden.(dhs) Pro 3:21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes-- Keep sound wisdom and discretion;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:22 ============ Pro 3:22 So they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck.(nas) Pro 3:22 ἵνα ζήσῃ ἡ ψυχή σου καὶ χάρις ᾖ περὶ σῷ τραχήλῳ Pro 3:22 et erit vita animæ tuæ, et gratia faucibus tuis.(vulgate) 22 ׃3 וְיִֽהְי֣וּ חַיִּ֣ים לְנַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ וְ֝חֵ֗ן לְגַרְגְּרֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:22 Das wird deiner Seele Leben sein und ein Schmuck deinem Halse.(dhs) Pro 3:22 So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:23 ============ Pro 3:23 Then you will walk in your way securely And your foot will not stumble.(nas) Pro 3:23 ἵνα πορεύῃ πεποιθὼς ἐν εἰρήνῃ πάσας τὰς ὁδούς σου ὁ δὲ πούς σου οὐ μὴ προσκόψῃ (lxx) Pro 3:23 Tunc ambulabis fiducialiter in via tua, et pes tuus non impinget.(vulgate) 23 ׃3 אָ֤ז תֵּלֵ֣ךְ לָבֶ֣טַח דַּרְכֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝רַגְלְךָ֗ לֹ֣א תִגּֽוֹף׃ Proverbs Pro 3:23 Dann wirst du sicher wandeln auf deinem Wege, daß dein Fuß sich nicht stoßen wird.(dhs) Pro 3:23 Then you will walk safely in your way, And your foot will not stumble.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:24 ============ Pro 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.(nas) Pro 3:24 ἐὰν γὰρ κάθῃ ἄφοβος ἔσῃ ἐὰν δὲ καθεύδῃς ἡδέως ὑπνώσεις (lxx) Pro 3:24 Si dormieris, non timebis; quiesces, et suavis erit somnus tuus.(vulgate) 24 ׃3 אִם־תִּשְׁכַּ֥ב לֹֽא־תִפְחָ֑ד וְ֝שָׁכַבְתָּ֗ וְֽעָרְבָ֥ה שְׁנָתֶֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 3:24 Legst du dich, so wirst du dich nicht fürchten, sondern süß schlafen,(dhs) Pro 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:25 ============ Pro 3:25 Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes;(nas) Pro 3:25 καὶ οὐ φοβηθήσῃ πτόησιν ἐπελθοῦσαν οὐδὲ ὁρμὰς ἀσεβῶν ἐπερχομένας (lxx) Pro 3:25 Ne paveas repentino terrore, et irruentes tibi potentias impiorum.(vulgate) 25 ׃3 אַל־תִּ֭ירָא מִפַּ֣חַד פִּתְאֹ֑ם וּמִשֹּׁאַ֥ת רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים כִּ֣י תָבֹֽא׃ Proverbs Pro 3:25 daß du dich nicht fürchten darfst vor plötzlichem Schrecken noch vor dem Sturm der Gottlosen, wenn er kommt.(dhs) Pro 3:25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 3:26 ============ Pro 3:26 For the Lord will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.(nas) Pro 3:26 ὁ γὰρ κύριος ἔσται ἐπὶ πασῶν ὁδῶν σου καὶ ἐρείσει σὸν πόδα ἵνα μὴ σαλευθῇς (lxx) Pro 3:26 Dominus enim erit in latere tuo, et custodiet pedem tuum, ne capiaris.]~(vulgate) 26 ׃3 כִּֽי־יְ֭הוָה יִהְיֶ֣ה בְכִסְלֶ֑ךָ וְשָׁמַ֖ר רַגְלְךָ֣ מִלָּֽכֶד׃ Proverbs Pro 3:26 Denn der HERR ist dein Trotz;
