Fili,(vulgate) 1 ׃7 בְּ֭נִי שְׁמֹ֣ר אֲמָרָ֑י וּ֝מִצְוֺתַ֗י תִּצְפֹּ֥ן אִתָּֽךְ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:1 Mein Kind, behalte meine Rede und verbirg meine Gebote bei dir.(dhs) Pro 7:1 My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:2 ============ Pro 7:2 Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye.(nas) Pro 7:2 φύλαξον ἐμὰς ἐντολάς καὶ βιώσεις τοὺς δὲ ἐμοὺς λόγους ὥσπερ κόρας ὀμμάτων (lxx) Pro 7:2 serva mandata mea, et vives; Write them on the tablet of your heart.(nas) Pro 7:3 περίθου δὲ αὐτοὺς σοῖς δακτύλοις ἐπίγραψον δὲ ἐπὶ τὸ πλάτος τῆς καρδίας σου (lxx) Pro 7:3 liga eam in digitis tuis, scribe illam in tabulis cordis tui.(vulgate) 3 ׃7 קָשְׁרֵ֥ם עַל־אֶצְבְּעֹתֶ֑יךָ כָּ֝תְבֵ֗ם עַל־ל֥וּחַ לִבֶּֽךָ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:3 Binde sie an deine Finger; schreibe sie auf die Tafel deines Herzens.(dhs) Pro 7:3 Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:4 ============ Pro 7:4 Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," And call understanding your intimate friend;(nas) Pro 7:4 εἶπον τὴν σοφίαν σὴν ἀδελφὴν εἶναι τὴν δὲ φρόνησιν γνώριμον περιποίησαι σεαυτῷ (lxx) Pro 7:4 Dic sapientiæ: Soror mea es, et prudentiam voca amicam tuam:(vulgate) 4 ׃7 אֱמֹ֣ר לַֽ֭חָכְמָה אֲחֹ֣תִי אָ֑תְּ וּ֝מֹדָ֗ע לַבִּינָ֥ה תִקְרָֽא׃ Proverbs Pro 7:4 Sprich zur Weisheit: "Du bist meine Schwester", und nenne die Klugheit deine Freundin,(dhs) Pro 7:4 Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," And call understanding your nearest kin,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:5 ============ Pro 7:5 That they may keep you from an adulteress, From the foreigner who flatters with her words.(nas) Pro 7:5 ἵνα σε τηρήσῃ ἀπὸ γυναικὸς ἀλλοτρίας καὶ πονηρᾶς ἐάν σε λόγοις τοῖς πρὸς χάριν ἐμβάληται (lxx) Pro 7:5 ut custodiant te a muliere extranea, et ab aliena quæ verba sua dulcia facit.(vulgate) 5 ׃7 לִ֭שְׁמָרְךָ מֵאִשָּׁ֣ה זָרָ֑ה מִ֝נָּכְרִיָּ֗ה אֲמָרֶ֥יהָ הֶחֱלִֽיקָה׃ Proverbs Pro 7:5 daß du behütet werdest vor dem fremden Weibe, vor einer andern, die glatte Worte gibt.(dhs) Pro 7:5 That they may keep you from the immoral woman, From the seductress who flatters with her words.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:6 ============ Pro 7:6 For at the window of my house I looked out through my lattice,(nas) Pro 7:6 ἀπὸ γὰρ θυρίδος ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου αὐτῆς εἰς τὰς πλατείας παρακύπτουσα (lxx) Pro 7:6 De fenestra enim domus meæ per cancellos prospexi,(vulgate) 6 ׃7 כִּ֭י בְּחַלּ֣וֹן בֵּיתִ֑י בְּעַ֖ד אֶשְׁנַבִּ֣י נִשְׁקָֽפְתִּי׃ Proverbs Pro 7:6 Denn am Fenster meines Hauses guckte ich durchs Gitter(dhs) Pro 7:6 For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:7 ============ Pro 7:7 And I saw among the naive, And discerned among the youths A young man lacking sense,(nas) Pro 7:7 ὃν ἂν ἴδῃ τῶν ἀφρόνων τέκνων νεανίαν ἐνδεῆ φρενῶν (lxx) Pro 7:7 et video parvulos; considero vecordem juvenem,(vulgate) 7 ׃7 וָאֵ֤רֶא בַפְּתָאיִ֗ם אָ֘בִ֤ינָה בַבָּנִ֗ים נַ֣עַר חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 7:7 und sah unter den Unverständigen und ward gewahr unter den Kindern eines törichten Jünglings,(dhs) Pro 7:7 And saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:8 ============ Pro 7:8 Passing through the street near her corner; And he takes the way to her house,(nas) Pro 7:8 παραπορευόμενον παρὰ γωνίαν ἐν διόδοις οἴκων αὐτῆς (lxx) Pro 7:8 qui transit per plateam juxta angulum et prope viam domus illius graditur:(vulgate) 8 ׃7 עֹבֵ֣ר בַּ֭שּׁוּק אֵ֣צֶל פִּנָּ֑הּ וְדֶ֖רֶךְ בֵּיתָ֣הּ יִצְעָֽד׃ Proverbs Pro 7:8 der ging auf der Gasse an einer Ecke und trat daher auf dem Wege bei ihrem Hause,(dhs) Pro 7:8 Passing along the street near her corner; And he took the path to her house(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:9 ============ Pro 7:9 In the twilight, in the evening, In the middle of the night and in the darkness.(nas) Pro 7:9 καὶ λαλοῦντα ἐν σκότει ἑσπερινῷ ἡνίκα ἂν ἡσυχία νυκτερινὴ ᾖ καὶ γνοφώδης (lxx) Pro 7:9 in obscuro, advesperascente die, in noctis tenebris et caligine.(vulgate) 9 ׃7 בְּנֶֽשֶׁף־בְּעֶ֥רֶב י֑וֹם בְּאִישׁ֥וֹן לַ֝֗יְלָה וַאֲפֵלָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 7:9 in der Dämmerung, am Abend des Tages, da es Nacht ward und dunkel war.(dhs) Pro 7:9 In the twilight, in the evening, In the black and dark night.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:10 ============ Pro 7:10 And behold, a woman comes to meet him, Dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart.(nas) Pro 7:10 ἡ δὲ γυνὴ συναντᾷ αὐτῷ εἶδος ἔχουσα πορνικόν ἣ ποιεῖ νέων ἐξίπτασθαι καρδίας (lxx) Pro 7:10 Et ecce occurrit illi mulier ornatu meretricio, præparata ad capiendas animas: garrula et vaga,(vulgate) 10 ׃7 וְהִנֵּ֣ה אִ֭שָּׁה לִקְרָאת֑וֹ שִׁ֥ית ז֝וֹנָ֗ה וּנְצֻ֥רַת לֵֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 7:10 Und siehe, da begegnete ihm ein Weib im Hurenschmuck, listig,(dhs) Pro 7:10 And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:11 ============ Pro 7:11 She is boisterous and rebellious, Her feet do not remain at home;(nas) Pro 7:11 ἀνεπτερωμένη δέ ἐστιν καὶ ἄσωτος ἐν οἴκῳ δὲ οὐχ ἡσυχάζουσιν οἱ πόδες αὐτῆς (lxx) Pro 7:11 quietis impatiens, nec valens in domo consistere pedibus suis;(vulgate) 11 ׃7 הֹמִיָּ֣ה הִ֣יא וְסֹרָ֑רֶת בְּ֝בֵיתָ֗הּ לֹא־יִשְׁכְּנ֥וּ רַגְלֶֽיהָ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:11 wild und unbändig, daß ihr Füße in ihrem Hause nicht bleiben können.(dhs) Pro 7:11 She was loud and rebellious, Her feet would not stay at home.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:12 ============ Pro 7:12 She is now in the streets, now in the squares, And lurks by every corner.(nas) Pro 7:12 χρόνον γάρ τινα ἔξω ῥέμβεται χρόνον δὲ ἐν πλατείαις παρὰ πᾶσαν γωνίαν ἐνεδρεύει (lxx) Pro 7:12 nunc foris, nunc in plateis, nunc juxta angulos insidians.(vulgate) 12 ׃7 פַּ֤עַם ׀ בַּח֗וּץ פַּ֥עַם בָּרְחֹב֑וֹת וְאֵ֖צֶל כָּל־פִּנָּ֣ה תֶאֱרֹֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 7:12 Jetzt ist sie draußen, jetzt auf der Gasse, und lauert an allen Ecken.(dhs) Pro 7:12 At times she was outside, at times in the open square, Lurking at every corner.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:13 ============ Pro 7:13 So she seizes him and kisses him And with a brazen face she says to him:(nas) Pro 7:13 εἶτα ἐπιλαβομένη ἐφίλησεν αὐτόν ἀναιδεῖ δὲ προσώπῳ προσεῖπεν αὐτῷ (lxx) Pro 7:13 Apprehensumque deosculatur juvenem, et procaci vultu blanditur, dicens:(vulgate) 13 ׃7 וְהֶחֱזִ֣יקָה־בּ֭וֹ וְנָ֣שְׁקָה־לּ֑וֹ הֵעֵ֥זָה פָ֝נֶ֗יהָ וַתֹּ֣אמַר לֽוֹ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:13 Und erwischte ihn und küßte ihn unverschämt und sprach zu ihm:(dhs) Pro 7:13 So she caught him and kissed him; With an impudent face she said to him:(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:14 ============ Pro 7:14 "I was due to offer peace offerings; Today I have paid my vows.(nas) Pro 7:14 θυσία εἰρηνική μοί ἐστιν σήμερον ἀποδίδωμι τὰς εὐχάς μου (lxx) Pro 7:14 Victimas pro salute vovi; hodie reddidi vota mea:(vulgate) 14 ׃7 זִבְחֵ֣י שְׁלָמִ֣ים עָלָ֑י הַ֝יּ֗וֹם שִׁלַּ֥מְתִּי נְדָרָֽי׃ Proverbs Pro 7:14 Ich habe Dankopfer für mich heute bezahlt für meine Gelübde.(dhs) Pro 7:14 "I have peace offerings with me; Today I have paid my vows.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:15 ============ Pro 7:15 "Therefore I have come out to meet you, To seek your presence earnestly, and I have found you.(nas) Pro 7:15 ἕνεκα τούτου ἐξῆλθον εἰς συνάντησίν σοι ποθοῦσα τὸ σὸν πρόσωπον εὕρηκά σε (lxx) Pro 7:15 idcirco egressa sum in occursum tuum, desiderans te videre, et reperi.(vulgate) 15 ׃7 עַל־כֵּ֭ן יָצָ֣אתִי לִקְרָאתֶ֑ךָ לְשַׁחֵ֥ר פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ וָאֶמְצָאֶֽךָּ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:15 Darum bin herausgegangen, dir zu begegnen, dein Angesicht zu suchen, und habe dich gefunden.(dhs) Pro 7:15 So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:16 ============ Pro 7:16 "I have spread my couch with coverings, With colored linens of Egypt.(nas) Pro 7:16 κειρίαις τέτακα τὴν κλίνην μου ἀμφιτάποις δὲ ἔστρωκα τοῖς ἀπ᾽ Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Pro 7:16 Intexui funibus lectulum meum; stravi tapetibus pictis ex Ægypto:(vulgate) 16 ׃7 מַ֭רְבַדִּים רָבַ֣דְתִּי עַרְשִׂ֑י חֲ֝טֻב֗וֹת אֵט֥וּן מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Proverbs Pro 7:16 Ich habe mein Bett schön geschmückt mit bunten Teppichen aus Ägypten.(dhs) Pro 7:16 I have spread my bed with tapestry, Colored coverings of Egyptian linen.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:17 ============ Pro 7:17 "I have sprinkled my bed With myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.(nas) Pro 7:17 διέρραγκα τὴν κοίτην μου κρόκῳ τὸν δὲ οἶκόν μου κινναμώμῳ (lxx) Pro 7:17 aspersi cubile meum myrrha, et aloë, et cinnamomo.(vulgate) 17 ׃7 נַ֥פְתִּי מִשְׁכָּבִ֑י מֹ֥ר אֲ֝הָלִ֗ים וְקִנָּמֽוֹן׃ Proverbs Pro 7:17 Ich habe mein Lager mit Myrrhe, Aloe und Zimt besprengt.(dhs) Pro 7:17 I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:18 ============ Pro 7:18 "Come, let us drink our fill of love until morning; Let us delight ourselves with caresses.(nas) Pro 7:18 ἐλθὲ καὶ ἀπολαύσωμεν φιλίας ἕως ὄρθρου δεῦρο καὶ ἐγκυλισθῶμεν ἔρωτι (lxx) Pro 7:18 Veni, inebriemur uberibus, et fruamur cupitis amplexibus donec illucescat dies.(vulgate) 18 ׃7 לְכָ֤ה נִרְוֶ֣ה דֹ֭דִים עַד־הַבֹּ֑קֶר נִ֝תְעַלְּסָ֗ה בָּאֳהָבִֽים׃ Proverbs Pro 7:18 Komm, laß und buhlen bis an den Morgen und laß und der Liebe pflegen.(dhs) Pro 7:18 Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; Let us delight ourselves with love.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:19 ============ Pro 7:19 "For my husband is not at home, He has gone on a long journey;(nas) Pro 7:19 οὐ γὰρ πάρεστιν ὁ ἀνήρ μου ἐν οἴκῳ πεπόρευται δὲ ὁδὸν μακρὰν (lxx) Pro 7:19 Non est enim vir in domo sua: abiit via longissima:(vulgate) 19 ׃7 כִּ֤י אֵ֣ין הָאִ֣ישׁ בְּבֵית֑וֹ הָ֝לַ֗ךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ מֵרָחֽוֹק׃ Proverbs Pro 7:19 Denn der Mann ist nicht daheim; er ist einen fernen Weg gezogen.(dhs) Pro 7:19 For my husband is not at home; He has gone on a long journey;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:20 ============ Pro 7:20 He has taken a bag of money with him, At the full moon he will come home."(nas) Pro 7:20 ἔνδεσμον ἀργυρίου λαβὼν ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ δι᾽ ἡμερῶν πολλῶν ἐπανήξει εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Pro 7:20 sacculum pecuniæ secum tulit; in die plenæ lunæ reversurus est in domum suam.(vulgate) 20 ׃7 צְֽרוֹר־הַ֭כֶּסֶף לָקַ֣ח בְּיָד֑וֹ לְי֥וֹם הַ֝כֵּ֗סֶא יָבֹ֥א בֵיתֽוֹ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:20 Er hat den Geldsack mit sich genommen; er wird erst aufs Fest wieder heimkommen.(dhs) Pro 7:20 He has taken a bag of money with him, And will come home on the appointed day."(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:21 ============ Pro 7:21 With her many persuasions she entices him; With her flattering lips she seduces him.(nas) Pro 7:21 ἀπεπλάνησεν δὲ αὐτὸν πολλῇ ὁμιλίᾳ βρόχοις τε τοῖς ἀπὸ χειλέων ἐξώκειλεν αὐτόν (lxx) Pro 7:21 Irretivit eum multis sermonibus, et blanditiis labiorum protraxit illum.(vulgate) 21 ׃7 הִ֭טַּתּוּ בְּרֹ֣ב לִקְחָ֑הּ בְּחֵ֥לֶק שְׂ֝פָתֶ֗יהָ תַּדִּיחֶֽנּוּ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:21 Sie überredete ihn mit vielen Worten und gewann ihn mit ihrem glatten Munde.(dhs) Pro 7:21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:22 ============ Pro 7:22 Suddenly he follows her As an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the discipline of a fool,(nas) Pro 7:22 ὁ δὲ ἐπηκολούθησεν αὐτῇ κεπφωθείς ὥσπερ δὲ βοῦς ἐπὶ σφαγὴν ἄγεται καὶ ὥσπερ κύων ἐπὶ δεσμοὺς (lxx) Pro 7:22 Statim eam sequitur quasi bos ductus ad victimam, et quasi agnus lasciviens, et ignorans quod ad vincula stultus trahatur:(vulgate) 22 ׃7 ה֤וֹלֵ֥ךְ אַחֲרֶ֗יהָ פִּ֫תְאֹ֥ם כְּ֭שׁוֹר אֶל־טֶ֣בַח יָב֑וֹא וּ֝כְעֶ֗כֶס אֶל־מוּסַ֥ר אֱוֽ͏ִיל׃ Proverbs Pro 7:22 Er folgt ihr alsbald nach, wie ein Ochse zur Fleischbank geführt wird, und wie zur Fessel, womit man die Narren züchtigt,(dhs) Pro 7:22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:23 ============ Pro 7:23 Until an arrow pierces through his liver; As a bird hastens to the snare, So he does not know that it will cost him his life.(nas) Pro 7:23 ἢ ὡς ἔλαφος τοξεύματι πεπληγὼς εἰς τὸ ἧπαρ σπεύδει δὲ ὥσπερ ὄρνεον εἰς παγίδα οὐκ εἰδὼς ὅτι περὶ ψυχῆς τρέχει (lxx) Pro 7:23 donec transfigat sagitta jecur ejus, velut si avis festinet ad laqueum, et nescit quod de periculo animæ illius agitur.(vulgate) 23 ׃7 עַ֤ד יְפַלַּ֪ח חֵ֡ץ כְּֽבֵד֗וֹ כְּמַהֵ֣ר צִפּ֣וֹר אֶל־פָּ֑ח וְלֹֽא־יָ֝דַ֗ע כִּֽי־בְנַפְשׁ֥וֹ הֽוּא׃ פ Proverbs Pro 7:23 bis sie ihm mit dem Pfeil die Leber spaltet; wie ein Vogel zum Strick eilt und weiß nicht, daß es ihm sein Leben gilt.(dhs) Pro 7:23 Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:24 ============ Pro 7:24 Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, And pay attention to the words of my mouth.(nas) Pro 7:24 νῦν οὖν υἱέ ἄκουέ μου καὶ πρόσεχε ῥήμασιν στόματός μου (lxx) Pro 7:24 Nunc ergo, fili mi, audi me, et attende verbis oris mei.(vulgate) 24 ׃7 וְעַתָּ֣ה בָ֭נִים שִׁמְעוּ־לִ֑י וְ֝הַקְשִׁ֗יבוּ לְאִמְרֵי־פִֽי׃ Proverbs Pro 7:24 So gehorchet mir nun, meine Kinder, und merket auf die Rede meines Mundes.(dhs) Pro 7:24 Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:25 ============ Pro 7:25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths.(nas) Pro 7:25 μὴ ἐκκλινάτω εἰς τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς ἡ καρδία σου (lxx) Pro 7:25 Ne abstrahatur in viis illius mens tua, neque decipiaris semitis ejus;(vulgate) 25 ׃7 אַל־יֵ֣שְׂטְ אֶל־דְּרָכֶ֣יהָ לִבֶּ֑ךָ אַל־תֵּ֝תַע בִּנְתִיבוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:25 Laß dein Herz nicht weichen auf ihren Weg und laß dich nicht verführen auf ihrer Bahn.(dhs) Pro 7:25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:26 ============ Pro 7:26 For many are the victims she has cast down, And numerous are all her slain.(nas) Pro 7:26 πολλοὺς γὰρ τρώσασα καταβέβληκεν καὶ ἀναρίθμητοί εἰσιν οὓς πεφόνευκεν (lxx) Pro 7:26 multos enim vulneratos dejecit, et fortissimi quique interfecti sunt ab ea.(vulgate) 26 ׃7 כִּֽי־רַבִּ֣ים חֲלָלִ֣ים הִפִּ֑ילָה וַ֝עֲצֻמִ֗ים כָּל־הֲרֻגֶֽיהָ׃ Proverbs Pro 7:26 Denn sie hat viele verwundet und gefällt, und sind allerlei Mächtige von ihr erwürgt.(dhs) Pro 7:26 For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 7:27 ============ Pro 7:27 Her house is the way to Sheol, Descending to the chambers of death.(nas) Pro 7:27 ὁδοὶ ᾅδου ὁ οἶκος αὐτῆς κατάγουσαι εἰς τὰ ταμίεια τοῦ θανάτου (lxx) Pro 7:27 Viæ inferi domus ejus, penetrantes in interiora mortis.](vulgate) 27 ׃7 דַּרְכֵ֣י שְׁא֣וֹל בֵּיתָ֑הּ יֹ֝רְד֗וֹת אֶל־חַדְרֵי־מָֽוֶת׃ פ Proverbs Pro 7:27 Ihr Haus sind Wege zum Grab, da man hinunterfährt in des Todes Kammern.(dhs) Pro 7:27 Her house is the way to hell, Descending to the chambers of death.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:1 ============ top of the page
