Today's Date: 4/13/2025 ======= Proverbs 8:1 ============ Pro 8:1 Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice?(nas) Pro 8:1 σὺ τὴν σοφίαν κηρύξεις ἵνα φρόνησίς σοι ὑπακούσῃ (lxx) Pro 8:1 [Numquid non sapientia clamitat, et prudentia dat vocem suam?(vulgate) 1 ׃8 הֲלֹֽא־חָכְמָ֥ה תִקְרָ֑א וּ֝תְבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלָֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 8:1 Ruft nicht die Weisheit, und die Klugheit läßt sich hören?(dhs) Pro 8:1 Does not wisdom cry out, And understanding lift up her voice?(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:2 ============ Pro 8:2 On top of the heights beside the way, Where the paths meet, she takes her stand;(nas) Pro 8:2 ἐπὶ γὰρ τῶν ὑψηλῶν ἄκρων ἐστίν ἀνὰ μέσον δὲ τῶν τρίβων ἕστηκεν (lxx) Pro 8:2 In summis excelsisque verticibus supra viam, in mediis semitis stans,(vulgate) 2 ׃8 בְּרֹאשׁ־מְרוֹמִ֥ים עֲלֵי־דָ֑רֶךְ בֵּ֖ית נְתִיב֣וֹת נִצָּֽבָה׃ Proverbs Pro 8:2 Öffentlich am Wege und an der Straße steht sie.(dhs) Pro 8:2 She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, Beside the way, where the paths meet.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:3 ============ Pro 8:3 Beside the gates, at the opening to the city, At the entrance of the doors, she cries out:(nas) Pro 8:3 παρὰ γὰρ πύλαις δυναστῶν παρεδρεύει ἐν δὲ εἰσόδοις ὑμνεῖται (lxx) Pro 8:3 juxta portas civitatis, in ipsis foribus loquitur, dicens:(vulgate) 3 ׃8 לְיַד־שְׁעָרִ֥ים לְפִי־קָ֑רֶת מְב֖וֹא פְתָחִ֣ים תָּרֹֽנָּה׃ Proverbs Pro 8:3 An den Toren bei der Stadt, da man zur Tür eingeht, schreit sie:(dhs) Pro 8:3 She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, At the entrance of the doors:(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:4 ============ Pro 8:4 "To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men.(nas) Pro 8:4 ὑμᾶς ὦ ἄνθρωποι παρακαλῶ καὶ προΐεμαι ἐμὴν φωνὴν υἱοῖς ἀνθρώπων (lxx) Pro 8:4 O viri, ad vos clamito, et vox mea ad filios hominum.(vulgate) 4 ׃8 אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם אִישִׁ֣ים אֶקְרָ֑א וְ֝קוֹלִ֗י אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃ Proverbs Pro 8:4 O ihr Männer, ich schreie zu euch und rufe den Leuten.(dhs) Pro 8:4 "To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:5 ============ Pro 8:5 "O naive ones, understand prudence; And, O fools, understand wisdom.(nas) Pro 8:5 νοήσατε ἄκακοι πανουργίαν οἱ δὲ ἀπαίδευτοι ἔνθεσθε καρδίαν (lxx) Pro 8:5 Intelligite, parvuli, astutiam, et insipientes, animadvertite.(vulgate) 5 ׃8 הָבִ֣ינוּ פְתָאיִ֣ם עָרְמָ֑ה וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים הָבִ֥ינוּ לֵֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 8:5 Merkt, ihr Unverständigen, auf Klugheit und, ihr Toren, nehmt es zu Herzen!(dhs) Pro 8:5 O you simple ones, understand prudence, And you fools, be of an understanding heart.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:6 ============ Pro 8:6 "Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.(nas) Pro 8:6 εἰσακούσατέ μου σεμνὰ γὰρ ἐρῶ καὶ ἀνοίσω ἀπὸ χειλέων ὀρθά (lxx) Pro 8:6 Audite, quoniam de rebus magnis locutura sum, et aperientur labia mea ut recta prædicent.(vulgate) 6 ׃8 שִׁ֭מְעוּ כִּֽי־נְגִידִ֣ים אֲדַבֵּ֑ר וּמִפְתַּ֥ח שְׂ֝פָתַ֗י מֵישָׁרִֽים׃ Proverbs Pro 8:6 Höret, denn ich will reden, was fürstlich ist, und lehren, was recht ist.(dhs) Pro 8:6 Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips will come right things;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:7 ============ Pro 8:7 "For my mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips.(nas) Pro 8:7 ὅτι ἀλήθειαν μελετήσει ὁ φάρυγξ μου ἐβδελυγμένα δὲ ἐναντίον ἐμοῦ χείλη ψευδῆ (lxx) Pro 8:7 Veritatem meditabitur guttur meum, et labia mea detestabuntur impium.(vulgate) 7 ׃8 כִּֽי־אֱ֭מֶת יֶהְגֶּ֣ה חִכִּ֑י וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת שְׂפָתַ֣י רֶֽשַׁע׃ Proverbs Pro 8:7 Denn mein Mund soll die Wahrheit reden, und meine Lippen sollen hassen, was gottlos ist.(dhs) Pro 8:7 For my mouth will speak truth; Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:8 ============ Pro 8:8 "All the utterances of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverted in them.(nas) Pro 8:8 μετὰ δικαιοσύνης πάντα τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ στόματός μου οὐδὲν ἐν αὐτοῖς σκολιὸν οὐδὲ στραγγαλῶδες (lxx) Pro 8:8 Justi sunt omnes sermones mei: non est in eis pravum quid, neque perversum;(vulgate) 8 ׃8 בְּצֶ֥דֶק כָּל־אִמְרֵי־פִ֑י אֵ֥ין בָּ֝הֶ֗ם נִפְתָּ֥ל וְעִקֵּֽשׁ׃ Proverbs Pro 8:8 Alle Reden meines Mundes sind gerecht; es ist nichts Verkehrtes noch falsches darin.(dhs) Pro 8:8 All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:9 ============ Pro 8:9 "They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.(nas) Pro 8:9 πάντα ἐνώπια τοῖς συνιοῦσιν καὶ ὀρθὰ τοῖς εὑρίσκουσι γνῶσιν (lxx) Pro 8:9 recti sunt intelligentibus, et æqui invenientibus scientiam.(vulgate) 9 ׃8 כֻּלָּ֣ם נְ֭כֹחִים לַמֵּבִ֑ין וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים לְמֹ֣צְאֵי דָֽעַת׃ Proverbs Pro 8:9 Sie sind alle gerade denen, die sie verstehen, und richtig denen, die es annehmen wollen.(dhs) Pro 8:9 They are all plain to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:10 ============ Pro 8:10 "Take my instruction and not silver, And knowledge rather than choicest gold.(nas) Pro 8:10 λάβετε παιδείαν καὶ μὴ ἀργύριον καὶ γνῶσιν ὑπὲρ χρυσίον δεδοκιμασμένον ἀνθαιρεῖσθε δὲ αἴσθησιν χρυσίου καθαροῦ (lxx) Pro 8:10 Accipite disciplinam meam, et non pecuniam; doctrinam magis quam aurum eligite:(vulgate) 10 ׃8 קְחֽוּ־מוּסָרִ֥י וְאַל־כָּ֑סֶף וְ֝דַ֗עַת מֵחָר֥וּץ נִבְחָֽר׃ Proverbs Pro 8:10 Nehmet an meine Zucht lieber denn Silber, und die Lehre achtet höher denn köstliches Gold.(dhs) Pro 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:11 ============ Pro 8:11 "For wisdom is better than jewels; And all desirable things cannot compare with her.(nas) Pro 8:11 κρείσσων γὰρ σοφία λίθων πολυτελῶν πᾶν δὲ τίμιον οὐκ ἄξιον αὐτῆς ἐστιν (lxx) Pro 8:11 melior est enim sapientia cunctis pretiosissimis, et omne desiderabile ei non potest comparari.]~(vulgate) 11 ׃8 כִּֽי־טוֹבָ֣ה חָ֭כְמָה מִפְּנִינִ֑ים וְכָל־חֲ֝פָצִ֗ים לֹ֣א יִֽשְׁווּ־בָֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 8:11 Denn Weisheit ist besser als Perlen; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate.(nas) Pro 8:13 φόβος κυρίου μισεῖ ἀδικίαν ὕβριν τε καὶ ὑπερηφανίαν καὶ ὁδοὺς πονηρῶν μεμίσηκα δὲ ἐγὼ διεστραμμένας ὁδοὺς κακῶν (lxx) Pro 8:13 Timor Domini odit malum: arrogantiam, et superbiam, et viam pravam, et os bilingue, detestor.(vulgate) 13 ׃8 יִֽרְאַ֣ת יְהוָה֮ שְֽׂנֹ֫את רָ֥ע גֵּ֘אָ֤ה וְגָא֨וֹן ׀ וְדֶ֣רֶךְ רָ֭ע וּפִ֨י תַהְפֻּכ֬וֹת שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ Proverbs Pro 8:13 Die Furcht des HERRN haßt das Arge, die Hoffart, den Hochmut und bösen Weg; ich habe Verstand und Macht.(dhs) Pro 8:14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:15 ============ Pro 8:15 "By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.(nas) Pro 8:15 δι᾽ ἐμοῦ βασιλεῖς βασιλεύουσιν καὶ οἱ δυνάσται γράφουσιν δικαιοσύνην (lxx) Pro 8:15 Per me reges regnant, et legum conditores justa decernunt;(vulgate) 15 ׃8 בִּ֭י מְלָכִ֣ים יִמְלֹ֑כוּ וְ֝רוֹזְנִ֗ים יְחֹ֣קְקוּ צֶֽדֶק׃ Proverbs Pro 8:15 Durch mich regieren die Könige und setzen die Ratsherren das Recht.(dhs) Pro 8:15 By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:16 ============ Pro 8:16 "By me princes rule, and nobles, All who judge rightly.(nas) Pro 8:16 δι᾽ ἐμοῦ μεγιστᾶνες μεγαλύνονται καὶ τύραννοι δι᾽ ἐμοῦ κρατοῦσι γῆς (lxx) Pro 8:16 per me principes imperant, et potentes decernunt justitiam.(vulgate) 16 ׃8 בִּ֭י שָׂרִ֣ים יָשֹׂ֑רוּ וּ֝נְדִיבִ֗ים כָּל־שֹׁ֥פְטֵי צֶֽדֶק׃ Proverbs Pro 8:16 Durch mich herrschen die Fürsten und alle Regenten auf Erden.(dhs) Pro 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:17 ============ Pro 8:17 "I love those who love me; ehe er etwas schuf, war ich da.(dhs) Pro 8:22 "The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:23 ============ Pro 8:23 "From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth.(nas) Pro 8:23 πρὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος ἐθεμελίωσέν με ἐν ἀρχῇ (lxx) Pro 8:23 Ab æterno ordinata sum, et ex antiquis antequam terra fieret.(vulgate) 23 ׃8 מֵ֭עוֹלָם נִסַּ֥כְתִּי מֵרֹ֗אשׁ מִקַּדְמֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ Proverbs Pro 8:23 Ich bin eingesetzt von Ewigkeit, von Anfang, vor der Erde.(dhs) Pro 8:23 I have been established from everlasting, From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:24 ============ Pro 8:24 "When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no springs abounding with water.(nas) Pro 8:24 πρὸ τοῦ τὴν γῆν ποιῆσαι καὶ πρὸ τοῦ τὰς ἀβύσσους ποιῆσαι πρὸ τοῦ προελθεῖν τὰς πηγὰς τῶν ὑδάτων (lxx) Pro 8:24 Nondum erant abyssi, et ego jam concepta eram: necdum fontes aquarum eruperant,(vulgate) 24 ׃8 בְּאֵין־תְּהֹמ֥וֹת חוֹלָ֑לְתִּי בְּאֵ֥ין מַ֝עְיָנ֗וֹת נִכְבַּדֵּי־מָֽיִם׃ Proverbs Pro 8:24 Da die Tiefen noch nicht waren, da war ich schon geboren, da die Brunnen noch nicht mit Wasser quollen.(dhs) Pro 8:24 When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:25 ============ Pro 8:25 "Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills I was brought forth;(nas) Pro 8:25 πρὸ τοῦ ὄρη ἑδρασθῆναι πρὸ δὲ πάντων βουνῶν γεννᾷ με (lxx) Pro 8:25 necdum montes gravi mole constiterant: ante colles ego parturiebar.(vulgate) 25 ׃8 בְּטֶ֣רֶם הָרִ֣ים הָטְבָּ֑עוּ לִפְנֵ֖י גְבָע֣וֹת חוֹלָֽלְתִּי׃ Proverbs Pro 8:25 Ehe denn die Berge eingesenkt waren, vor den Hügeln war ich geboren,(dhs) Pro 8:25 Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills, I was brought forth;(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:26 ============ Pro 8:26 While He had not yet made the earth and the fields, Nor the first dust of the world.(nas) Pro 8:26 κύριος ἐποίησεν χώρας καὶ ἀοικήτους καὶ ἄκρα οἰκούμενα τῆς ὑπ᾽ οὐρανόν (lxx) Pro 8:26 Adhuc terram non fecerat, et flumina, et cardines orbis terræ.(vulgate) 26 ׃8 עַד־לֹ֣א עָ֭שָׂה אֶ֣רֶץ וְחוּצ֑וֹת וְ֝רֹ֗אשׁ עָ[t]פְר֥וֹת תֵּבֵֽל׃ Proverbs Pro 8:26 da er die Erde noch nicht gemacht hatte und was darauf ist, noch die Berge des Erdbodens.(dhs) Pro 8:26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, Or the primeval dust of the world.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 8:27 ============ Pro 8:27 "When He established the heavens, I was there, When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep,(nas) Pro 8:27 ἡνίκα ἡτοίμαζεν τὸν οὐρανόν συμπαρήμην αὐτῷ καὶ ὅτε ἀφώριζεν τὸν ἑαυτοῦ θρόνον ἐπ᾽ ἀνέμων (lxx) Pro 8:27 Quando præparabat cælos, aderam;
