os autem impiorum operit iniquitas.(vulgate) 6 ׃10 בְּ֭רָכוֹת לְרֹ֣אשׁ צַדִּ֑יק וּפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים יְכַסֶּ֥ה חָמָֽס׃ Proverbs Pro 10:6 Den Segen hat das Haupt des Gerechten; aber den Mund der Gottlosen wird ihr Frevel überfallen.(dhs) Pro 10:6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:7 ============ Pro 10:7 The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.(nas) Pro 10:7 μνήμη δικαίων μετ᾽ ἐγκωμίων ὄνομα δὲ ἀσεβοῦς σβέννυται (lxx) Pro 10:7 Memoria justi cum laudibus, et nomen impiorum putrescet.(vulgate) 7 ׃10 זֵ֣כֶר צַ֭דִּיק לִבְרָכָ֑ה וְשֵׁ֖ם רְשָׁעִ֣ים יִרְקָֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 10:7 Das Gedächtnis der Gerechten bleibt im Segen; aber den Mund der Gottlosen wird ihr Frevel überfallen.(dhs) Pro 10:11 The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:12 ============ Pro 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions.(nas) Pro 10:12 μῖσος ἐγείρει νεῖκος πάντας δὲ τοὺς μὴ φιλονεικοῦντας καλύπτει φιλία (lxx) Pro 10:12 Odium suscitat rixas, et universa delicta operit caritas.(vulgate) 12 ׃10 שִׂ֭נְאָה תְּעוֹרֵ֣ר מְדָנִ֑ים וְעַ֥ל כָּל־פְּ֝שָׁעִ֗ים תְּכַסֶּ֥ה אַהֲבָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 10:12 Haß erregt Hader; aber Liebe deckt zu alle Übertretungen.(dhs) Pro 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:13 ============ Pro 10:13 On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found, But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding.(nas) Pro 10:13 ὃς ἐκ χειλέων προφέρει σοφίαν ῥάβδῳ τύπτει ἄνδρα ἀκάρδιον (lxx) Pro 10:13 In labiis sapientis invenitur sapientia, et virga in dorso ejus qui indiget corde.(vulgate) 13 ׃10 בְּשִׂפְתֵ֣י נָ֭בוֹן תִּמָּצֵ֣א חָכְמָ֑ה וְ֝שֵׁ֗בֶט לְגֵ֣ו חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ Proverbs Pro 10:13 In den Lippen des Verständigen findet man Weisheit; aber auf den Rücken der Narren gehört eine Rute.(dhs) Pro 10:13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, But a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:14 ============ Pro 10:14 Wise men store up knowledge, But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.(nas) Pro 10:14 σοφοὶ κρύψουσιν αἴσθησιν στόμα δὲ προπετοῦς ἐγγίζει συντριβῇ (lxx) Pro 10:14 Sapientes abscondunt scientiam; os autem stulti confusioni proximum est.(vulgate) 14 ׃10 חֲכָמִ֥ים יִצְפְּנוּ־דָ֑עַת וּפִֽי־אֱ֝וִיל מְחִתָּ֥ה קְרֹבָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 10:14 Die Weisen bewahren die Lehre; aber der Narren Mund ist nahe dem Schrecken.(dhs) Pro 10:14 Wise people store up knowledge, But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:15 ============ Pro 10:15 The rich man's wealth is his fortress, The ruin of the poor is their poverty.(nas) Pro 10:15 κτῆσις πλουσίων πόλις ὀχυρά συντριβὴ δὲ ἀσεβῶν πενία (lxx) Pro 10:15 Substantia divitis, urbs fortitudinis ejus; pavor pauperum egestas eorum.(vulgate) 15 ׃10 ה֣וֹן עָ֭שִׁיר קִרְיַ֣ת עֻזּ֑וֹ מְחִתַּ֖ת דַּלִּ֣ים רֵישָֽׁם׃ Proverbs Pro 10:15 Das Gut des Reichen ist seine feste Stadt; aber die Armen macht die Armut blöde.(dhs) Pro 10:15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city; aber der Gottlose braucht sein Einkommen zur Sünde.(dhs) Pro 10:16 The labor of the righteous leads to life, The wages of the wicked to sin.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:17 ============ Pro 10:17 He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, But he who ignores reproof goes astray.(nas) Pro 10:17 ὁδοὺς δικαίας ζωῆς φυλάσσει παιδεία παιδεία δὲ ἀνεξέλεγκτος πλανᾶται (lxx) Pro 10:17 Via vitæ custodienti disciplinam; qui autem indocti sunt in cordis egestate morientur.]~(vulgate) 21 ׃10 שִׂפְתֵ֣י צַ֭דִּיק יִרְע֣וּ רַבִּ֑ים וֶֽ֝אֱוִילִ֗ים בַּחֲסַר־לֵ֥ב יָמֽוּתוּ׃ Proverbs Pro 10:21 Des Gerechten Lippen weiden viele; aber die Narren werden an ihrer Torheit sterben.(dhs) Pro 10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:22 ============ Pro 10:22 It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.(nas) Pro 10:22 εὐλογία κυρίου ἐπὶ κεφαλὴν δικαίου αὕτη πλουτίζει καὶ οὐ μὴ προστεθῇ αὐτῇ λύπη ἐν καρδίᾳ (lxx) Pro 10:22 [Benedictio Domini divites facit, nec sociabitur eis afflictio.(vulgate) 22 ׃10 בִּרְכַּ֣ת יְ֭הוָה הִ֣יא תַעֲשִׁ֑יר וְלֹֽא־יוֹסִ֖ף עֶ֣צֶב עִמָּֽהּ׃ Proverbs Pro 10:22 Der Segen des HERRN macht reich ohne Mühe.(dhs) Pro 10:22 The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:23 ============ Pro 10:23 Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool, And so is wisdom to a man of understanding.(nas) Pro 10:23 ἐν γέλωτι ἄφρων πράσσει κακά ἡ δὲ σοφία ἀνδρὶ τίκτει φρόνησιν (lxx) Pro 10:23 Quasi per risum stultus operatur scelus, sapientia autem est viro prudentia.(vulgate) 23 ׃10 כִּשְׂח֣וֹק לִ֭כְסִיל עֲשׂ֣וֹת זִמָּ֑ה וְ֝חָכְמָ֗ה לְאִ֣ישׁ תְּבוּנָֽה׃ Proverbs Pro 10:23 Ein Narr treibt Mutwillen und hat dazu noch seinen Spott; aber der Mann ist weise, der aufmerkt.(dhs) Pro 10:23 To do evil is like sport to a fool, But a man of understanding has wisdom.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:24 ============ Pro 10:24 What the wicked fears will come upon him, But the desire of the righteous will be granted.(nas) Pro 10:24 ἐν ἀπωλείᾳ ἀσεβὴς περιφέρεται ἐπιθυμία δὲ δικαίου δεκτή (lxx) Pro 10:24 Quod timet impius veniet super eum; desiderium suum justus dabitur.(vulgate) 24 ׃10 מְגוֹרַ֣ת רָ֭שָׁע הִ֣יא תְבוֹאֶ֑נּוּ וְתַאֲוַ֖ת צַדִּיקִ֣ים יִתֵּֽן׃ Proverbs Pro 10:24 Was der Gottlose fürchtet, das wird ihm begegnen; und was die Gerechten begehren, wird ihnen gegeben.(dhs) Pro 10:24 The fear of the wicked will come upon him, And the desire of the righteous will be granted.(nkjv) ======= Proverbs 10:25 ============ Pro 10:25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.(nas) Pro 10:25 παραπορευομένης καταιγίδος ἀφανίζεται ἀσεβής δίκαιος δὲ ἐκκλίνας σῴζεται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα (lxx) Pro 10:25 Quasi tempestas transiens non erit impius; justus autem quasi fundamentum sempiternum.(vulgate) 25 ׃10 כַּעֲב֣וֹר ס֭וּפָה וְאֵ֣ין רָשָׁ֑ע וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק יְס֣וֹד עוֹלָֽם׃ Proverbs Pro 10:25 Der Gottlose ist wie ein Wetter, das vorübergeht und nicht mehr ist;
