Psalm 2


Psalm 2:1 Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?
Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
Psalm 2:3 "Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!"
Psalm 2:4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.
Psalm 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,
Psalm 2:6 "But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain."
Psalm 2:7 "I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
Psalm 2:8 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
Psalm 2:9 'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'"
Psalm 2:10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.
Psalm 2:11 Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling.
Psalm 2:12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, Psalm 2:2 παρέστησαν οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες συνήχθησαν ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κατὰ τοῦ κυρίου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ χριστοῦ αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα

Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Psalm 2:7 "I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Psalm 2:7 διαγγέλλων τὸ πρόσταγμα κυρίου κύριος εἶπεν πρός με υἱός μου εἶ σύ ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε
Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psalm 2:8 'Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession. Psalm 2:8 αἴτησαι παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ δώσω σοι ἔθνη τὴν κληρονομίαν σου καὶ τὴν κατάσχεσίν σου τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς
Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Psalm 2:9 'You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.'" Psalm 2:9 ποιμανεῖς αὐτοὺς ἐν ῥάβδῳ σιδηρᾷ ὡς σκεῦος κεραμέως συντρίψεις αὐτούς
Psalm 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Psalm 2:10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. Psalm 2:10 καὶ νῦν βασιλεῖς σύνετε παιδεύθητε πάντες οἱ κρίνοντες τὴν γῆν
Psalm 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11 Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11 δουλεύσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε αὐτῷ ἐν τρόμῳ
Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. Psalm 2:12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him! Psalm 2:12 δράξασθε παιδείας μήποτε ὀργισθῇ κύριος καὶ ἀπολεῖσθε ἐξ ὁδοῦ δικαίας ὅταν ἐκκαυθῇ ἐν τάχει ὁ θυμὸς αὐτοῦ μακάριοι πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ
