Psalm 94


Psalm 94:1 O Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth!
Psalm 94:2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth, Render recompense to the proud.
Psalm 94:3 How long shall the wicked, O Lord, How long shall the wicked exult?
Psalm 94:4 They pour forth words, they speak arrogantly; All who do wickedness vaunt themselves.
Psalm 94:5 They crush Your people, O Lord, And afflict Your heritage.
Psalm 94:6 They slay the widow and the stranger And murder the orphans.
Psalm 94:7 They have said, "The Lord does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob pay heed."
Psalm 94:8 Pay heed, you senseless among the people; And when will you understand, stupid ones?
Psalm 94:9 He who planted the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see?
Psalm 94:10 He who chastens the nations, will He not rebuke, Even He who teaches man knowledge?
Psalm 94:11 The Lord knows the thoughts of man, That they are a mere breath.
Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man whom You chasten, O Lord, And whom You teach out of Your law;
Psalm 94:13 That You may grant him relief from the days of adversity, Until a pit is dug for the wicked.
Psalm 94:14 For the Lord will not abandon His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance.
Psalm 94:15 For judgment will again be righteous, And all the upright in heart will follow it.
Psalm 94:16 Who will stand up for me against evildoers? Who will take his stand for me against those who do wickedness?
Psalm 94:17 If the Lord had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.
Psalm 94:18 If I should say, "My foot has slipped," Your lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up.
Psalm 94:19 When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.
Psalm 94:20 Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree?
Psalm 94:21 They band themselves together against the life of the righteous And condemn the innocent to death.
Psalm 94:22 But the Lord has been my stronghold, And my God the rock of my refuge.
Psalm 94:23 He has brought back their wickedness upon them And will destroy them in their evil; The Lord our God will destroy them.

Psalm 94:1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Psalm 94:1 O Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth! Psalm 94:1 ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ τετράδι σαββάτων ὁ θεὸς ἐκδικήσεων κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἐκδικήσεων ἐπαρρησιάσατο
Psalm 94:2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. Psalm 94:2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth, Render recompense to the proud. Psalm 94:2 ὑψώθητι ὁ κρίνων τὴν γῆν ἀπόδος ἀνταπόδοσιν τοῖς ὑπερηφάνοις
Psalm 94:3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? Psalm 94:3 How long shall the wicked, O Lord, How long shall the wicked exult? Psalm 94:3 ἕως πότε ἁμαρτωλοί κύριε ἕως πότε ἁμαρτωλοὶ καυχήσονται

Psalm 94:10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know? Psalm 94:10 He who chastens the nations, will He not rebuke, Even He who teaches man knowledge? Psalm 94:10 ὁ παιδεύων ἔθνη οὐχὶ ἐλέγξει ὁ διδάσκων ἄνθρωπον γνῶσιν
Psalm 94:11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. Psalm 94:11 The Lord knows the thoughts of man, That they are a mere breath. Psalm 94:11 κύριος γινώσκει τοὺς διαλογισμοὺς τῶν ἀνθρώπων ὅτι εἰσὶν μάταιοι
Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man whom You chasten, O Lord, And whom You teach out of Your law; Psalm 94:12 μακάριος ἄνθρωπος ὃν ἂν σὺ παιδεύσῃς κύριε καὶ ἐκ τοῦ νόμου σου διδάξῃς αὐτὸν
Psalm 94:13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. Psalm 94:13 That You may grant him relief from the days of adversity, Until a pit is dug for the wicked. Psalm 94:13 τοῦ πραῦναι αὐτῷ ἀφ᾽ ἡμερῶν πονηρῶν ἕως οὗ ὀρυγῇ τῷ ἁμαρτωλῷ βόθρος
Psalm 94:14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. Psalm 94:14 For the Lord will not abandon His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance. Psalm 94:14 ὅτι οὐκ ἀπώσεται κύριος τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐγκαταλείψει
Psalm 94:15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Psalm 94:15 For judgment will again be righteous, And all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalm 94:15 ἕως οὗ δικαιοσύνη ἐπιστρέψῃ εἰς κρίσιν καὶ ἐχόμενοι αὐτῆς πάντες οἱ εὐθεῖς τῇ καρδίᾳ διάψαλμα
Psalm 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Psalm 94:16 Who will stand up for me against evildoers? Who will take his stand for me against those who do wickedness? Psalm 94:16 τίς ἀναστήσεταί μοι ἐπὶ πονηρευομένους ἢ τίς συμπαραστήσεταί μοι ἐπὶ ἐργαζομένους τὴν ἀνομίαν
Psalm 94:17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. Psalm 94:17 If the Lord had not been my help, My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence. Psalm 94:17 εἰ μὴ ὅτι κύριος ἐβοήθησέν μοι παρὰ βραχὺ παρῴκησεν τῷ ᾅδῃ ἡ ψυχή μου
Psalm 94:18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. Psalm 94:18 If I should say, "My foot has slipped," Your lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up. Psalm 94:18 εἰ ἔλεγον σεσάλευται ὁ πούς μου τὸ ἔλεός σου κύριε βοηθεῖ μοι
Psalm 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94:19 When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul. Psalm 94:19 κύριε κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῶν ὀδυνῶν μου ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου αἱ παρακλήσεις σου ἠγάπησαν τὴν ψυχήν μου
Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? Psalm 94:20 Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, One which devises mischief by decree? Psalm 94:20 μὴ συμπροσέσται σοι θρόνος ἀνομίας ὁ πλάσσων κόπον ἐπὶ προστάγματι
Psalm 94:21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. Psalm 94:21 They band themselves together against the life of the righteous And condemn the innocent to death. Psalm 94:21 θηρεύσουσιν ἐπὶ ψυχὴν δικαίου καὶ αἷμα ἀθῷον καταδικάσονται
Psalm 94:22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:22 But the Lord has been my stronghold, And my God the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:22 καὶ ἐγένετό μοι κύριος εἰς καταφυγὴν καὶ ὁ θεός μου εἰς βοηθὸν ἐλπίδος μου
Psalm 94:23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off. Psalm 94:23 He has brought back their wickedness upon them And will destroy them in their evil; The Lord our God will destroy them. Psalm 94:23 καὶ ἀποδώσει αὐτοῖς τὴν ἀνομίαν αὐτῶν καὶ κατὰ τὴν πονηρίαν αὐτῶν ἀφανιεῖ αὐτοὺς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν
